Leaf-Fall 4, year 8: Dark gray clouds slowly settle in during the morning, a light rain falling later in the day.

[attr="class","noble"]The thunderous roars of approval from the crowd of LightningClan cats mirrored the ferocity and near-supernatural beauty of the storm for which the Clan was named. Noblepaw felt as though the voices of her clanmates lifted her into the sky, and though the vastness of space above her was obscured with spatterings of miserable grey clouds, it was no less alluring. Dizzied with the chants of her new name, she basked in her small moment of glory with a warm glow growing in her heart. As the cheers died away, Cloudthroat regarded her with interested eyes. “We start with the territory. First, you will learn what your home is, then you will learn how to make it your hunting grounds. Lastly, you will learn how to defend yourself and guard what's yours.” She gave a dip of her head, green eyes keen to begin. The mere prospect of seeing what lay beyond the little dip in the ground where she had been born was adventure enough for one day. A throng of cats swelled around her, meows of congratulations and tails brushing against her side.
She followed Cloudthroat through the sea of cats, her ears slowly becoming deafened to the sounds of praise as her mind focused on what was next. Unable to see above the shoulders of the warriors that surrounded her, she was surprised to find that she and her mentor were by the entrance to the camp. “Come,” He rumbled, his great face resembling that of an owl, his expression that of a tom that had seen enough seasons pass to know what lay ahead. “We have much ground to cover.”
As mentor and apprentice both emerged from the camp, one for the first time, a very light rain drizzled down. It was more like a soft mist than rain, bringing welcome moisture to the air. Noblepaw's gaze immediately sought out the view that lay before her, rolling, golden hills with sparse boulders, tall grass with hidden secrets to be unravelled. Her breath was snatched by the breeze, carried away with the tiny droplets that drifted on the air. [smear:FFDAA3]“It's... it goes on forever.”[/smear:ffffff] She meowed breathlessly, her white paws suddenly rooted to the ground beneath her. Could she ever walk that far? She had never seen so much open space in her life, and she desperately wanted to know each and every paw step of it so she could commit it to memory. She wanted to hold this picture in her thoughts forever.
