APPEARANCE
A slender gray and white short-furred she-cat with vivid gold eyes.
Icefang is a small thing, all lean muscle and smooth lines. She has a certain grace about her, in the way she moves and how she carries herself. Everything just flows, her steps and her posture elegant and dainty. Her fur is slightly shorter than medium-length, with her tail boasting longer fur than the rest of her coat. As for color, she has a white base with large, solid gray patches cloaking her back, her entire tail minus the tip, the top of her head, and about her hindlegs. Her eyes are a vivid gold color, often seeming lit from within.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY
Despite her frosty name, Icefang is a warm and kind cat. Birdstar calls her “StarClan-blessed with compassion and kindness,” and for good reason. Her compassion is unmatched; she is usually the first cat to rush in to help another. Status doesn’t matter to her, and her kindness isn’t reserved for just her Clanmates. Pure StoneClan, half-Clan, outsider, or loner, she treats everyone with the same kindness and respect. ‘Treat others the way you yourself wish to be treated’ is a motto she tends to live by. Always there to lend a paw, always there to offer a shoulder to cry on, Icefang is always open to helping others. She spends much of her time listening to her Clanmates, offering advice and just being there for them. She’s made herself known as a supporter, and always has time for a Clanmate in need, no matter what. She has an incredible patience, too, and very rarely shows any anger or irritation. Even then, when she does, it’s usually directed at an enemy rather than a Clanmate. Very slow to anger and quick to forgive, Icefang has learned to not take things too personally.
Icefang is incredibly selfless, as well. She often puts the needs of others before her own. While this makes her a valuable friend to have, it can also be detrimental to her own wellbeing. She has her lows, just like any other cat does, and while she does have family and friends to support her, she tends to have trouble reaching out. Icefang has a stuck mentality that, since she’s so good at helping others with their problems, that she should be able to solve her own just fine. This isn’t always the case, however. There are occasions when she has to hide her own emotional turmoil behind smiles and laughter, and she’s gotten really good at disguising it. Eventually, she heals, slowly and in silence, but as long as the cats around her are happy and healthy, she won’t complain.
There is one thing that she has yet to overcome, though: Birdstar. While it is true that she cherishes his friendship and is happy to have him in her life, she’s never quite gotten over him. She’s struggled with it a lot, actually. He was her first love, her only love, and she still feels they were meant to be together. She thinks of him as her soulmate, and wishes things could be different. Icefang has always respected him and his decisions, though, so she tried to move on. She tried to have a relationship once, but it wasn’t long before she realized that he couldn’t give her everything she wanted. It didn’t feel the same, it didn’t feel right, so she called it off. She still feels bad for breaking his heart, and sometimes wishes she had never stepped out and attempted a relationship, but there’s little she can do about it now. So she carries on, nursing her broken heart in silence, and tries to be satisfied that she still has Birdstar as a friend, even though she wants so much more.
She loves fiercely, and will never hesitate to defend her own. Though generally known as kind and gentle, when pushed to her limits, she snaps back. When the health, safety, and wellbeing of those she loves are threatened, Icefang will not hesitate to stand up for them. She doesn’t raise her voice to others often, but when she does, she will not hold back. She’s learned the power of words, and she knows how to use them to her advantage, and will cut down any cat that deserves it. She has no tolerance for those who take advantage of or abuse others. And yet, even in her defense of others, she still retains her dignified nature, and rather than coming off as a screaming match, her words usually come across like a mentor scolding a misbehaving apprentice. Thankfully, it isn’t often she loses her cool, but once the lesson is taught, she is able to smoothly slide back into her normal, docile nature.
Her tendency to listen, assist, and defend is greatly assisted by her keen eyes and her ability to read the cats around her. It’s easy for her to spot when something isn’t quite right, and when in a conversation, she listens as much to the nonverbal cues the other cats give off just as much as their words, sometimes more. Lying to Icefang is a difficult feat, and those closest to her have pretty much given up on it. She has a talent for seeing through to the heart of others, and can generally spot when someone is lying to her. Whether she’ll call the lie out or let it rest depends on the situation at hand.

HISTORY
HISTORY
Born to two average, loyal StoneClan warriors, Icekit was third in a litter of four. The twins were first, a pair of nearly identical grey tuxedo toms, Stormkit and Sleetkit, followed by Icekit, and finally the youngest, a diluted tortoiseshell she-cat named Hailkit. Their mom, Mottledhaze, a dilute tortoiseshell she-cat, was a young queen with her first litter of kittens. There was a great fear of making mistakes, but Mottledhaze tried her best to raise her kittens right. She didn’t raise her kits alone, though. Her mate, Talonblaze, a grey tuxedo tom, played a major role in raising his kittens. He adored them, and always went out of his way to make sure they were happy, healthy, and knew how much they were loved. The nursery was consistently full while they were growing up, between Icekit’s family and the litter of three born two moons before her, but they always found ways to make it work, even if things got a little cramped at times. The four siblings grew up close, grown in love and affection. They’re a very physical family, always open to touch and contact, even thriving on it. However, it wasn’t always easy. There were fights and disagreements, but Mottledhaze and Talonblaze taught them how to work through their differences, and by the end of the day, all would be well. Living with so many other kittens taught Icekit valuable lessons, many of which have helped to shape the cat she is today.
After what seemed like an eternity, the litter of four were six moons and ready to begin their apprenticeships. Stormpaw, Sleetpaw, Icepaw, and Hailpaw were all named apprentices, given their mentors, and then allowed to move into the apprentices’ den. Throughout her tutelage under Shadeclaw, a silver tabby tom, Icepaw learned the ways of the warrior. With her lean form, she excelled at hunting, but she also had a particularly fierce bite while fighting. While performing her duties and training, she came to know the other apprentices better, and became particularly close to a certain slate gray tom. Icepaw and Birdpaw soon became friends, and as the moons passed, their friendship blossomed into more. In her eyes, they were sweethearts, destined for each other. Before they could fully grow up and cement their young love into something more, fate decided they had other plans.
During their assessment at twelve moons, Birdpaw’s sister, Redpaw, was brutally killed by a badger. The tragedy broke Birdpaw, and he pushed everyone away, including Icepaw, and withdrew into himself. Icepaw gave herself a few days to grieve the loss of their relationship, and tried her best to be patient with Birdpaw and give him space to grieve his sister’s death. She watched from a distance as Birdpaw seemed to sink further down each day, and her heart ached for him. Not just for the relationship lost, but for the loss of the cat he once was. Redpaw’s death hurt her, too; since Birdpaw and Redpaw were so close, Icepaw had drawn close to Redpaw as well. After Birdpaw’s makeup assessment, Icepaw was waiting at the apprentices’ den for him, to ask how it had gone. But as soon as she saw the look on his face, her plans changed. She rushed over to him, prodded slightly, and listened as he unleashed everything that he had been through that day. Her heart broke even more for him, and she ushered him into his nest, curling close to him as he fell asleep. When her siblings entered the den a bit later, she called them all to pile around Birdpaw, offering him the comfort she knew he needed.
Cloudtail was the first to earn his warrior name, and Icepaw was honestly a bit glad to see him go. She focused her energy into helping Birdpaw get back to himself. She had let him grieve, she had given him space, but it was obvious he needed a little push to move forward. Ever patient and kind, Icepaw took it upon herself to make sure Birdpaw was ready for his next assessment. She made sure he didn’t spend all day wallowing in his grief, she was there to push him out of his stupor, and she did it all with no expectation of repayment. She knew he was hurting, and knew there was a high possibility that there would never be anything other than friendship between them. So she pushed aside her own feelings, to make sure that Birdpaw was taken care of. She wanted to keep him in her life, but she also wanted the best for him.
Finally, Birdpaw was named Birdtalon, and Icepaw was right there to cheer him on. She was so proud of him, how far he’d come, and how much he’d grown after Redpaw’s death. Shortly after, she and her siblings were having their own warrior ceremony. Now named Icefang for the sharp bites she could inflict upon prey and enemy, alongside her siblings, Stormgaze, Sleetjaw, and Hailcry, she joined Birdtalon and the other warriors in the warriors’ den. Icefang picked a nest close to Birdtalon’s, as they were still friends, and her siblings found spaces near hers. The moons after her apprenticeship ended were quiet, and she spent much of her time repairing and cementing the friendship she had with Birdtalon. She didn’t spend all of her energy on him, though. There was even a brief relationship with another tom, but she soon broke it off, realizing it wasn't what she truly wanted. She became known as the cat that anyone could go to if they needed someone to talk to, and she became an ear and a shoulder for many of the other warriors. Her patience, kindness, compassion, and non-judgmental nature were sought after by many cats, and Icefang was always willing to lend an ear to her Clanmates. As she grew older and her experiences grew, she became more confident in offering advice as well. She always has time for anyone who asks for it, no matter what. She is a rock, a support system, and willingly offers herself to her Clanmates to steady them and help them through the tough times.
