The temperature during the gathering is 63°F/17°C. The full moon beckons to the newborn Clans, hanging in the cloudless sky like a great feline eye staring down. Messengers from each of the Clans have previously convened and agreed to meet at the former location of StarClan's claws, which have collapsed to form a stone shelf over the water. Uncertain about what the night will hold, the Clans prepare to depart for the first gathering following the Earthquake.
2CLOVERSTAR OF MISTCLAN
Cloverstar relished in the familiarity of moving through the night, despite how she'd recently become accustomed to being active during daylight hours. She could feel the excitement of the Gathering patrol around her, anticipating not only tonight's Gathering but also the fact it was the first Gathering the three Clans would be meeting after they'd become Gorge, Mist, and Gale.
When they arrived at the falls, she could instantly see why it had been chosen as their Gathering place: the stream reflected the sky full of stars, the full moon easy to see right in its center as a constant reminder of the truce. She waved her tail to signal MistClan to disperse across the area while she walked through the stream, ignoring the various stepping stones that led to the large rocks near the edge of the falls. If she were lucky, she might be able to annoy the other Clan leaders when they arrived by shaking out her pelt and giving them a little shower.
Representing MistClan: Cloverstar, Koisplash, Shadowchaser, Rustfeather, Roachflight, Frozensong, Dogpaw, Dahliapaw, and Hailpaw.
1WHITESTAR OF GORGECLAN
It felt like it had been forever since the clans were last gathered, and Whitestar’s nerves were wild. It was his first time going to a gathering in a long time, and it was his first gathering as a Leader. The one-eyed tom padded forward through the territory, heart pounding, but a warm comfort draping his back knowing that his clanmates padded alongside and behind him. Though he knew that it would not take long to reach their destination, as the location that had been picked as the new sacred gathering place was not too far away from the Gorgeclan camp. But as the travelling cats arrived at the river, he was surprised to find that Mistclan had already just arrived and was settling in.
The Gorgeclan cats began to disperse, and the white tom padded forward, leaping atop the pointed stones on which Cloverstar was perched on. He sat along the edge of a different-levelled stone than her own, keeping his posture straight and his head high. He offered a polite nod of greeting to the she-cat, offering another to Owlstar when Galeclan arrived, before he turned to peer down at the three gathered clans.
Representing GorgeClan: Whitestar, Cloudtail, Ebonyheart, Sageheart, Brackenstride, Thornheart, Robinflight, Puffinpaw, Emberpaw, Coyotepaw, Condorfeather (NPC), Sunwind (NPC).
3OWLSTAR OF GALECLAN
Galeclan had departed early that night, taking a leisure stroll through the moorlands and they moved like a cohesive unit towards Starclan's Falls - the newest place where the clans gathered during the full moon. Owlstar's lanky form was near the head of the group, padding in time with Kindleflare, the two elder molly quietly and protectively surrounded by the bodies of warriors and apprentices. The group looked strong and almost intimidating, padding beneath the open sky as the moon slowly rose higher.
It didn't seem to take much time for Galeclan to arrive at the falls, the sound of the water somewhat unsettling for those who didn't enjoy getting their paws wet but luckily there was enough slab for many, many felines to rest comfortably. Whitening paws of the gray elder quietly padded over to pick out one of the stones the three leaders chose to sit on for the Gathering. Lowering her haunches, Owlstar's long tail wrapped around her paws as those unreadable, amber hues looked out over the area, ready to get this meeting underway.[break]
Representing GaleClan: Owlstar, Kindleflare, Ravenpaw, Nightfur, Nobleflame, Valiantspark, Asterstorm, Pumpkinpatch, Murkpaw, Canyonpaw, Russetpaw, Nightrunner, Cloudthroat, Sorrelheart, Cindertail.

[googlefont=Playfair Display] [googlefont=Roboto] [googlefont=Kumar One] i find it very, very easy to be truei find myself alone when each day is throughyes, i'll admit that i'm a fool for youbecause you're mine...I WALK THE line clover cloverstar. MISTCLAN LEADER // 69 MOONS
A
s the other two Clans arrived and cats began to mingle, Cloverstar glanced at the two cats nearest her - her fellow Clan leaders. Both had perfect postures as they looked out over the gathered cats, and they'd both greeted Cloverstar with a polite nod when they'd joined her on the stones. "So serious," she murmured, rolling her eyes. "Hello to you both. Or are we too regal for spoken greetings now?" She shook out her still-damp pelt, showering her companions with a fine mist of what water remained on her from her impromptu swim across the stream. "No need to thank me, I'm sure that'll save you some time washing later." There'd been restless energy brimming within her lately. Time to burn some of it off. "I suppose we should get started?"She sat down properly this time, mimicking the exact posture of the other two with her back straight and her tail curled around her paws. The cats gathered all seemed to have one eye on the three leaders and began to fall quiet automatically. Cloverstar couldn't remember another Gathering in her memory where every cat had been so very attentive. It being the first Gathering after becoming the new Clans was the likeliest cause of that. "It's been some time since we've all formally gathered like this, and much has happened since then that I'm sure we're all eager to learn about." Her eyes swept the crowd, wondering how many of them had looked forward to tonight for the sake of seeing old friends or family from other Clans. "I led the cats that wished to join MistClan to settle in the territory around the lake among the pines and marshes. At that time, I appointed Silverstar - now Silverfrost - as my deputy, and he worked tirelessly to help make MistClan what it is tonight. However, he has since retired from his post as deputy."She paused, nodding toward the familiar dappled figure of her new second-in-command. "I have appointed Koisplash as MistClan's new deputy, who's shown herself to be an intelligent and capable young cat worthy of leading her Clanmates." What other noteworthy things had happened lately? Cloverstar hadn't meant to wing this part, but it wasn't like it was hard to come up with significant things her Clan had accomplished in the past few moons. "We also welcomed a loner kit into our Clan, who is now known as Birchpaw and is being mentored by Hawkeye. She's certainly living proof that any cat, regardless of the circumstances of their birth, can thrive in MistClan." Might as well advertise how accepting she was of non-Clanborn cats in case any poor soul was doubting their choice of Clan. GorgeClan and GaleClan's loss was her gain. "Otherwise, prey has been running well on both MistClan land and water, and we haven't seen much as far as predators yet. I'll be sure to pass the news along if we find any fox or badger on our territory that may wander into GorgeClan or GaleClan land." So far, she'd been careful to keep her tone light and warm, wanting the other Clans to trust that hers would be a peaceful, law-abiding neighbor. If she wanted to change that, it'd be that much easier to take them by surprise. But now she laced her tone with a hint of warning. "As I'm sure you've all noticed, scent markers along our borders are always fresh. Many MistClan cats were formerly NightClan and wished to keep their nocturnal schedule - so we have daywalkers and nightwalkers. If you're ever looking across our border, rest assured there is certainly a MistClan cat on the other side of it somewhere, wide awake and ready for anything."She turned, fixing her eyes on the single eye of the white tom beside her, deciding to conclude her announcements there. She said nothing for a moment, hoping she'd made him a little nervous just now. Nothing thrilled her like scaring someone a little bit, and it wasn't like she could attempt the same on stone-faced Owlstar. She wasn't going to be mean to him... not yet. "Whitestar," she addressed him, waving her tail. [googlefont="Nunito"] Though he could feel his heart pounding in his chest on the inside, on the outside Whitestar sat with his head held high. Yes, he was nervous. Yes, this was his first time going to a gathering as a clan Leader. And yes, he had spent most of the day practicing what he wanted to say. What he should say. And what he shouldn't.
His singular yellow-green eye scanned across all the faces below, some that were vaguely familiar, some he knew personally who did not reside within Gorgeclan. The last time the clans were all gathered, it was both Brackenstride and himself who stood at the head of the new Gorgeclan, the future in terms of leadership uncertain. And now here he sat, sitting amongst two other Leaders who had been present prior to the earthquake and had done this before. Admittedly, standing here next to them both, it was much more intimidating than it had been in the Tribe.
He turned his head just slightly to peer at the brown Bengal who sat to the side, her voice speaking in a lower more personal tone amongst just the three of them. White, even after all this time, was still…unsure of his thoughts on Cloverstar. He got to speak to her some during their time in the Tribe, but it was hard to say.
"No, but-" As the Mistclan Leader began to shake herself, he felt small water droplets splatter his pelt and face. Whitestar was always one to act polite and friendly towards others and see them in a positive light. And he tried to do the same even with those of the other clans. But that…was just unnecessary. And honestly slightly annoying. What good will picking on the newbie do…
He kept silent and listened as the bothersome she-cat began the gathering, addressing all of those below. He took note of how she started her portion of the speech, having considered doing the same back home but unsure of how to go about it until now. He continued to listen as she spoke of the state of affairs in Mistclan, including Silverfrost’s retirement, the new Deputy Koisplash, a new kit, the state of their prey and predators, and a detail that his mind juggled. Why would she…..nevermind. Then she went silent, turning her gaze to him. When he met her green eyes, he couldn’t deny to himself that he felt…unsettled. But words of advice from others back home echoed in his mind. The single-eyed tom allowed his gaze to lock with her own, his expression unchanging. Don’t let anyone phase you.
“Thank you, Cloverstar.” He turned his head away, his half-gaze meeting that of those below. He took a deep breath, settling himself and his thoughts before he spoke. “As she said, it has been quite a while since we were all together, and I want to welcome everyone to our first gathering since our valley changed moons ago.” A part of his chest thumped hard in pride knowing that he actually had lots of news to bring to his first gathering, all of which was positive. At least, the news he chose to share. “Myself. Whitehawk at the time, and Brackenstride had stood at the head of Gorgeclan when we settled into the stone gorge found within the forest. We both led the clan temporarily as co-Deputies, until Leafbare when our Medicine Cats found Starclan again. After that day, a message was sent and I was called to meet with our ancestors. Now, I speak to you all as Whitestar. After becoming Leader, Brackenstride remained my Deputy, until late Newleaf, at which point he stepped down, and I chose Cloudtail as my new Deputy.” His gaze flicked through the crowd, finding Brackenstride first among the many faces in the crowd. He knew that he had a tendency to throw a lot of praise in the tom’s direction pretty often, but he couldn’t help it. He offered the other a smile before turning and finding Cloudtail, who sat just a leap away beneath the rocks the Leaders perched upon. The white tom had helped Whitestar figure out what to say before coming here, and had already been a large help in many matters, which he was eternally thankful for.
He turned back to the rest of the gathered cats, unable to stop a small smile from forming on his maw. “In addition, our numbers continue to grow by the season. We welcomed two litters of kits into our midst during Leaffall after moving into our territory. Emberpaw, Coyotepaw, Todpaw, Cardinalpaw, Puffinpaw, and Jaypaw now walk among us as Apprentices, a few of them here within the crowd today.” He took a moment to seek out the little faces of Ember, Coyote, and Puffin in the crowd, allowing the three of them a moment in the light. “We also gained five new Warriors at the end of Newleaf; Wrenbelly, Hareskip, Elderhollow, Bonebreaker, and Wisteriabloom.” Although none of them had attended this gathering, he still felt warm pride in his chest at giving them their recognition. “Finally, in Newleaf we welcomed a new litter, and just yesterday we had another litter born within our nursery.”
He took a breath, taking just a second to let all of the promotions and new clan additions settle in on those below. “I am grateful to say that our prey has been plentiful throughout the forest and within the gorge. We did have a run-in with a nest of snakes that had been festering inside the gorge, but we were quick to take care of the problem and were successful. Beyond that, we have not scented any other larger predators within our territory or near the borders. If we do find anything, all of you will know as quick as word can travel.”
The large white tom felt a pressure lift from his shoulders, thankful that his announcements were finished, and honestly proud of himself for doing it without falter.
His head turned fully, peering over at Owlstar who sat to his left. There was a flash of admiration that flicked across his gaze, as she was the oldest of the three of them, surely the wisest, and she had been a Leader for the longest of them. He dipped his head once more in respect to her before he spoke.
“Owlstar, what about you? Has Galeclan been well?”

She was quiet, always watching as those wide amber hues slowly ran over each cat that had attended the Gathering that night as the full moon washed them all in a beautiful, silver glow. Though she had not planned on it, but it seemed that more swift footed and lanky felines of Galeclan were present than those of the other two clans. Though the aging leader did not take it as a sign of weakness from Gorge and Mist, she did note it to herself.
Though the gray coated molly made sure to give a respectful head nod to both Cloverstar, and Whitestar as the one eyed tomcat took his place besides the two she-cats, Owlstar chose to let her attention stay captured upon the mingled clans rather than speak pleasantries with her equals. That did not mean she didn't keep a large ear open for anything that might have transpired between the tabby warrioress and the white tom.
The water droplets were cool as they bounced against the tight, thin coat of the eldest among the three who sat on the stones - but if it had bothered her in anyway Owlstar didn't show it. Her face remained like stone and her ever watching eyes unreadable as she ignored the childish actions of Cloverstar to continue watching those below her, the apprentices bragging and the elders murmuring in their own separate groups.
She was silent, hardly moving a muscle as both younger leaders spoke before she did - the rotation of who spoke and when had never big a priority for her. Call her the wisdom in her moons of living among the clans and the valley, but eagerness to speak first was not something she would jump for just to prove that she could.
Respect was earned not crafted by the title alone.
It seemed that, by the statements provided, that both Mistclan and Gorgeclan were fairing well in the moons after the quake. New deputies, warriors and kits all around - those were what made the clans strong and healthy, building blocks for the next generation of felines that were brought into each of their clans. Granted, they were not the only ones to have such wonderous fortunes bestowed upon them - though the tragedies of her lost lives would remain within her head and that of Ravenpaw, who was sworn to secrecy by his unique position.
When it was finally her time to speak, the old bird gave a respectful nod to Whitestar before she parted her jaws to speak in that familiarly sharp and raspy tone.
"Thank you Whitestar - and congratulations on your name and lives. We welcome you as a leader among the clans and I hope your reign is long and peaceful." It was a simple praise, but a genuine one as Owlstar knew the stress and struggles that came with the highest of the positions within the clan. There was a reason on why she not only appointed a deputy but also crafted her Council to aid with such things.
"On that note, congratulations are also in order for Koisplash and Cloudtail - deputyship is a prestigious title, I'm sure both of you will do your clan proud by holding it." As she spoke, those wide amber hues of hers shifted over to where each specific feline was sitting next to Nightrunner, the lanky black tomcat easily the eldest of the three similarly to how she was in her bracket of cats.
The white furs encroaching on their coats was an easy reminder of how the moons were quickly stacking on the two who lead Galeclan.
"Galeclan is strong!" Her voice raised every so slightly, the sternness and strength within her sharp rasp. Had she been more of an emotional feline, perhaps she would have smirked when she heard the echoes of her statement being murmured among those from her clan - instead she just felt the swell of pride within her chest. It was a reminder that the unity within those that lived on the moors was strong and powerful, a bond they would forever carry.
"As we have heard from Mistclan and Gorgeclan, they are fairing well within the time after the quake - something I believe we can all be thankful for. Galeclan has also prospered, an influx of rank changes and new life is always a good thing." Owlstar continued without missing a beat, playing the more diplomatic role of her nature to both support her fellow clans but also to exemplify the power of her own.
"We have had nine new warriors be named since become the new clan known as Gale - two of which have accompanied us tonight, Nobleflame and Valiantspark." The gray Oriental gave the gathered cats time to chant the new names of the elder leader's niece and nephew, silently wishing Rosefire had survived to see her kits at this point in their life.
"There are also three new apprentices, whom have also decided to join us tonight, Murkpaw, Russetpaw and my latest apprentice: Canyonpaw." It was something she had added on purpose, as not only had Canyonpaw joined after having been born in the once known Stoneclan but as leader, Owlstar had once again taken another apprentice despite her rising age.
It was a pride of hers to be able to mold and train young minds, even at her elder status.
The bird named molly shifted her unreadable gaze from the youngsters within the crowd, looking pleased from having their names mentioned at the Gathering. "While mentioning our thriving apprentices, I would like to take this moment to recognize Galeclan's Medicine Cat Apprentice: Ravenpaw. Had it not been for him and his connection to Starclan, we may have never found the Mooncrystal Cavern - where we share tongues with our ancestors."
Owlstar didn't miss the way Kindleflare dipped her head to give a soft lick to her apprentice's ear before the aging leader swept on after the murmurs of approval for the youngster.
Warriors, apprentices and now, "Our nursery is also full as Windspirit once again delivered healthy kits at the end of Greenleaf. Soon they will also start their journeys as apprentices within Galeclan." The queen in question was obviously not present, and neither was her mate but she saw the pride and excitement beaming off of those who lived in the same clan as the quiet, free spirited warrioress.
"Overall we are thriving. Our bellies are full, our moors are alive with prey and our warriors are strong." It was quick and too the point, leaving no real room for interpretation. She wouldn't mention the cats who were training overtime for battle preparations, or those who spent most of their time in the tunnels watching the borders and learning new routes and her council would remain Galeclan knowledge only - for the time being.
Owlstar had always been a propritor of Hope for Peace, Prepare for War, something that had been ingrained into her very being and something she hoped to pass down for generations to come.
Finally, the eldest of the three leaders turned those ever watchful and forever unreadable amber hues towards Cloverstar and Whitestar, "Shall we add anything else to this meeting?" An ear atop her wedge shape face twitched ever so slightly, her portion of the meeting finished but she would gladly discuss any other needed topics that involved those of the clans before calling her cats to go home.

"This is insane! They're going to eat us alive!"
"Nonsense, Cinth. They're cats, just like us. As long as we're polite, why wouldn't they help us?"
"For once I agree with her, Skip. This is toeing a dangerous line, dear boy."
"Let's just try to find our own way back. It's too risky--Skip--Skip come back! Skip!"
He felt nerves threaten to hold him back from approaching the gully, the maddening mixture of hundreds of scents like a cloying twoleg perfume. But Skip fought through it. He had to, for his friends' sake. His survival skills had everything to do with concrete sidewalks, cluttered alleys and the roar of metal beasts. The complicated otherness of a town. This...forest, with its strange sounds and unknowable places, unnerved him more than he dared admit.
Unnerved him enough to approach the largest gathering of cats he had ever laid eyes on.
Skip ignored the terrified calls of Hyacinth and Charlemagne, pleading with him to come back. The white and tabby-patched tom crept into the moonlight, the hair along his spine lifting as several cats gave out warning yowls. His paws came to rest at the top of the falls, water running through his paw pads as three figures - a white-furred, one-eyed tom, a dapple-coated she-cat, and an elderly, spindly she-cat all turned to look at him at once.
"H-Hello," he managed a strangled looking smile. "My name is Skip. I was hoping you might be able to tell us the way home...?" As the young tom stood before the three leaders of the valley Clans, the moonlight came to rest at a tattered blue collar buckled in at his throat.
A kittypet. And not the only one, either. A handful of foxlengths behind him, poorly hidden, were two more kittypets trembling in the undergrowth. Their eyes were large as acorn caps, and carried the weight of hunger, confusion and fear reflected back.

hen she heard the warning yowls, the fur along her spine bristled with adrenaline-fueled excitement, expecting the worst from whatever had been drawn in by the huge gathering of cats. Though it had been a long time ago, foxes had once attacked a Gathering - they might be stupid enough to try it again. What she hadn't expected was an interruption in the form of the young patched tom that stood before them now, his eyes round as full moons and seemingly acutely aware that all eyes were on him in that moment. "My name is Skip. I was hoping you might be able to tell us the way home...?"Her eyes flicked to the strip of blue... something around his neck. Now this is interesting, she thought. "Home?" she echoed. She was already standing from being startled at his entrance and now made her way across the stepping stones that led to their new companion, splashing the rest of the way over to him when the water was shallow enough. She sniffed his pelt, wrinkling her nose at the strange scents she found there. He smelled of wildlife like the rest of them, but unmistakably there was something very strange underneath - faint, as though he hadn't been there in some time. "You don't smell like you come from any place I know. And you don't smell like a loner or rogue. What is home to you, Skip? And what is that... thing you keep around your neck?"She looked up from Skip at mrrows of surprise several fox-lengths away, where a few warriors seemed to find a couple other newcomers just like Skip. They were poorly-hidden, as if they had no idea what to do with their bodies in the undergrowth. "Well, come out then," she called, amused. Hopefully they hadn't been actually trying to hide. "We're gathered here under a truce - nobody will hurt you. My name is Cloverstar, and I'm the leader of MistClan." If they even knew what MistClan was. | | [attr="class","csnotes"]notes <3 |

[googlefont="Nunito"] Whitestar listened with interest as Owlstar spoke her piece, a flash of admiration shining in his eye. She made this look effortless, and he could only hope that it would get easier as time went on. He wished to congratulate her and her clan for all their new additions and advancements, but he remained silent.
As she finished speaking and turned to himself and Cloverstar, he just barely opened his mouth to say something when unexpected yowls sounded. Eyes were trained beyond the three Leaders, and his head and body turned quickly to see someone standing behind them, someone unfamiliar. Confusion flashed on his face peering at this cat, as there was no immediate scent that reached his nose from them. At least not one he recognized. His first thought was loner, which was strange, as he had never heard of a loner ever padding into a gathering before. But his confusion only grew when he saw….something…wrapped around this cat’s neck. A…strange colored vine? No, it didn’t quite look like a vine.
The cat spoke, introducing himself as Skip and seeking help in finding his way home. Cloverstar was the first to go forward towards the cat, but Whitestar was hesitant. He did want to go over and greet this cat, and find out what was going on, but…thoughts pulled at his mind. What would everyone below think of the Leaders suddenly up and leaving their perches to go greet a strange cat? He was unsure of what to think, momentarily looking at Owlstar. He glanced back to where Cloverstar and Skip then stood, and he took a few slow steps forward, not fully approaching, but coming a tad closer to hear what was being said.
It was only in that moment that his eye just barely caught movement, peering behind them to see two more cats not too far behind who…weren’t really hiding. But they seemed to be making an attempt? He blinked a few times, unable to see if these cats had strange vines around their necks too. He looked back to Skip, and though he had questions, Cloverstar had already spoken them.
He leaned just barely around them to look at the others who stayed behind.
“It’s ok to come out. We won’t hurt you.” He waited just a moment before he turned, looking back to Skip and presumably his friends. “I am Whitestar, Leader of Gorgeclan.” He glanced to the other two cats who hadn’t spoken yet from what he heard. “What are your names?”
