APPEARANCE | Imagine if her parents stood in front of sand the color of their own pelts. Sprucefur: fawn. Feathercloud: gray. Their daughter, Sagekit, has paws in both mounds almost perfectly half-and-half. She was rather stumpy and fluffy as a weanling, but as she grows, her markings will become more apparent.
As a warrior, she will be a semi-longhaired cat. Her pelt is silky, especially on her hindquarters where it lays flat, but she has the fluffy ruff of fur seen in her father and, more prominently, her uncle. She wants a regal posture. While she likes to play, Sagekit also likes to stay prim and proper. She gets embarrassed if she's caught unawares; it's impossible to hide because her hair rises on end any time she's startled.
Seen from the back, Sagekit would be mistaken for a gray ticked tabby, but upon turning around, you'd realize she's actually a blue Somali. Her blue-cream tortoiseshell face is a good blend, but there is a stark difference between her top and bottom halves. Her cream and white markings are concentrated on the front, spilling down her throat, neck, and legs. There is cream and white brindling throughout her tail.
PERSONALITY | Considering her arrival was a complete surprise, Sagekit turned out pretty well. She spends a lot of time paying attention to what's going on and asking questions. At times the questions can be ceaseless, but she's found that being quiet and watching what's going on helps her get answers too. Sagekit is attentive and a good listener. Be careful of what you do and say around her, because she hates cheaters and fakers and she will catch you in a lie if you try to pull a fast one on her. It makes it difficult to sugarcoat things around her. She gets lowkey upset whenever she can tell others don't give her the full story (even if they have a good reason for doing so). Sagekit dislikes wishy-washy personalities for that reason. A non-confrontational cat trying not to get into drama and beating around the bush would just annoy her.
Sagekit is very social and adventurous. Besides wanting to be friends with everyone, she wants cats to get along. She has a good sense of teamwork. However, her naiveté is not to be mistaken with stupidity. She will swipe with her tiny kitten claws in order to protect herself and her friends, even if it takes some internal pep talk to shoo away any insecurities. Sagekit tries to make peace no matter what but she can't be mature all the time. She will stomp off somewhere childishly if she's upset.
HISTORY | Feathercloud was a first-time parent and had no family in TreeClan to instruct her on how to be a mother. No magical font of knowledge appeared when her water broke abruptly. She hadn't even known she was pregnant! Perhaps it was because she was only carrying two kits. While she was terrified for her kits, she didn't neglect them in her terror and so they grew on their own. They were like plants, she found, only needing the sunshine of her love and the fertile watering of her milk. They wriggled their little legs like growing roots. After leaving them unnamed for so long, Feathercloud was suddenly inspired.
Sagekit and Acornkit. Their ears were now open to hear their names.
The young she-kit was ignorant to everything Feathercloud was going through. All she knew was the warmth and milk she craved, and the togetherness of being beside her littermate Acornkit. Oh, and Gorsetail, too. She knew his scent easily now.
Once she was weaned, getting to know the outside world was a blast. Sagekit was fascinated by how much there was to know and learn. She thought TreeClan was cool, but it turned out the Clan was outside the tree! And there were more Clans than just TreeClan too! It was the start of a brand new adventure at the heels of her mom.
