This isn't an event or anything, but in order to determine the "winner", I think dicerolls are the best way to do this.
1. First round of rolling determines who takes the lead in climbing the tree. Highest roll is the fastest. If anyone rolls a one, they will fall from the tree and need to start again, or chicken out (if in character). You are welcome to decide for yourself what your cat would do. You are also free to have your character injured from this incident or not.
2. Upon reaching the nest, you will need to roll to see if you have caught the attention of the parent crows, who will attack you. This will significantly reduce your chances of winning.
3. You will then need to include two rolls in each post, a roll to climb safely down from the tree and a roll to not break your egg.
Code for displaying what you rolled in your post, you may customise the colours if you like:

[attr="class","creek-content"]It was no secret that Clan life could be boring. The day to day dreary routine of lugging yourself out of your nest and down into the ravine on yet another dawn patrol. With that great white lump Cloudtail now serving as deputy, life in GorgeClan was as boring as ever. Creekstone felt very much like her name, a rock, stuck in one place while all the water flowed out around her. Even worse, she was stuck in this mish-mash of a Clan with a collection of pathetic lowborns with hardly enough intelligence to even catch a mouse. It was dreadfully depressing. And so, this idea took root in her mind and grew leaves. It was a great idea, really. One that Whitestar and Cloudtail needn’t know about.
“Thanks for showing up.” Creekstone addressed the cats who she had asked to meet her here, her blue eyes gleaming. She nodded to the tree that loomed behind her, a great shadowy beast glaring down at its spectators. “The rules of the challenge are simple. At the top of that tree is a nest full of crow’s eggs. The goal is to climb to the top, snatch an egg and get down from the tree without breaking the egg.” Her smirk grew. “And, avoid falling out of the tree in the process…” A little excitement to spice up the boring, riskless daily lives they lived. “If you’re a frightened little kit, feel free to run on back to the nursery. But breathe a word of this to anyone, and you’ll have a lot more than just crows to worry about.” She let the warning hang in the air a moment, then flicked her tail. “Any questions before we start?”
