Personality

ferretkit has always been a bit of an oddball of a cat, for as long as he has been able to communicate his feelings and finding joy through play. he has a hard time getting along with other cats, including his littermates - not because he is mean or unfriendly, but simply due to a more awkward and antisocial nature of preferring to play alone. instead of playing team games, ferretkit can often be found building strange little contraptions out of rocks, vines, branches, leaves, and whatever else he can find lying around. of course, if what she finds isn't good enough, she isn't afraid to leave the camp and find what she needs, regardless of whether or not she's allowed. ferretkit sometimes feels that she is above the rules, thinking that she's smarter than everyone else and even coming off a little conceited from time to time, believing that her ventures out into the forest are simply her way of trying to find new experiments and creations.

that being said, ferretkit also has lots of wonderful redeeming qualities. despite her more antisocial nature, it's clear that she is incredibly intelligent and clever. and even if she is rather uncharismatic, she has a good eye to study her clanmates and understand their strengths and weaknesses. this will come in great favour as he gets older, as he will never be a particularly strong or fast cat, so the ability to study others will help him succeed where he needs. though, instead of being on the front lines, ferretkit will prove to be best behind the lines as a tactician, thinking more about ways that formations or specific attacks could benefit the clan. her curious nature also means she is incredibly resourceful, doing her best to discover as much as she can about the world around her and how everything can be used to its best ability, once again also playing into her inner strategist. he may not grow up to be the best, strongest, or fastest warrior of gorgeclan, but ferretkit will likely grow up to be one of the most analytical and bright.

ferretkit primarily takes after her father in her looks. much like weaselnose, she has a primarily base coat of a light fawn colour, but in true siamese fashion, her fur begins to grow into a much darker brown as it reaches her legs, her face, her ears, and her tail. though, one thing she did not inherit from her father, but rather from her mother, is her odd white paws. while most seal point siamese cats like ferretkit would have their dark brown hues fading all the way to the tips of each part of their body, including their paws, he seems to have white fur on his paws instead. he also has lovely blue eyes, a colour that has not changed since he was born and first opened them, remaining blue for his entire life.

ferretkit is of roughly average size in stature, but she does not seem to be built much for strength or for stamina. in fact, while she is a perfectly healthy young cat, it is hard to tell at first glance what her physical strengths might be, if she has any at all. instead, when he gets older and learns to hunt and fight, he will have to rely on his wit and strategic mind alone, as he is simply not strong enough to hold another cat down, nor quick enough to dodge out of the way of most attacks. she would much rather try to outsmart her enemies than outpace or cut down physically.

History

born in gorgeclan to lakegaze and weaselnose was a litter of three healthy she-cats: one fully white like her mother, which the couple named erminekit, and two siamese like their father, which the couple named martenkit and ferretkit. the litter were given names in the same theme of their father's litter, continuing the tradition. from a pretty early age, almost as soon as she could speak, ferretkit would begin changing the pronouns back and forth between he/him and she/her when talking about herself. his mother asked if perhaps he felt like a tom, but the kit insisted with a strong sense of self that she felt like both a tom and a she-cat, and began to use both sets of pronouns.
