Cobrashadow
Beware the Coiled Snake
You got your rules and your religion
All designed to keep you safe
But when rules start getting broken
You start questionin' your faith
Wide, flat paws led the rather temperamental tomcat through the open expanse of Stoneclan's rocky terrain campsite as the sun quietly made its way through the warm sky. It was the first day of Greenleaf, though it hardly came with any greetings of delight or welcomed smiles. The past few seasons had been hard on the weathered clan that stood strong like their namesake within a tide of unsteadiness and an uncertain future. Leafbare had brought it with the demise of their once long reining figurehead, Hawkstar and his beloved mate while Newleaf brought about the end of several cats lives, including the short flame of Smokestar and her leadership.
Now it seemed that Starclan was placing the fate of Stoneclan within the paws of the handsome spotted tom's younger brother, Birdstar.
There was a sense of pride that swelled beneath the golden spotted chest of the older warrior, both in a sense that he had trained the pale, gray coated warrior now leader and that it was his own kin that sat upon that rock with nine lives to his newly appointed name and place. Though it wasn't as if those feelings were ever emitted or reflected upon either his upturned muzzle nor his gaze that flickered with a green flame. Of course, he wasn't usually one to express anything other then contempt, annoyance or a certain gruffness that only few could stand to be around. His littermates included in such a statement, as he had seen little of either Adderstone or Viperstrike since the mudslide that claimed many.
There was one, however, that his attention had been distracted by as he kept her company more often than not within the past moons of Newleaf. Said pretty tabby was laid out comfortably near the warrior's den as the sun battered down softly upon her striped, fluffy form as her tail flickered lazily while she dozed happily. It wasn't often he showed an invested interest in many of his clanmates, yet it seemed that Petalrain had captured a special snag within Cobrashadow's head as he continued to spend time with the Stoneclan warrioress. Most of the time they actually did their duties, hunting together or wandering the borders of their clan to remark their territory.
Her company had become rather... delightful, if that was the word he could describe it as.
A slender, striped tail flickered slightly behind the lean tomcat as he finally drew himself up to where the former queen lay happily, her unique scent reaching his nose. He had become accustomed to her scent over the last few moons, even well enough to catch it if she entered or exited the warrior's den while he still snoozed. The crooked jaw of Cobrashadow shifted to part what looked like a permanent smirk upon his face as his gruff voice rumbled from his throat. "Care for a walk on this fine Greenleaf." There was a hint of mild amusement within his tone as if he were almost making fun of himself for the near-hidden gentle-tom side of this normally intense warrior.

I have a voice that is my savior
Hates to love and loves to hate
I have a voice that has the knowledge
