The correct term for Sedgenose is Norwegian forest cat, further identifying as an amber smoke. She has flicks of light gray on her rather pale coat, but its not very noticeable until one is up close to her. they would see that she has very faint stripes on her legs, the tell-tale letter M on her brow and a darker gray blaze against a black nose. Her pelt is long, feathered with tufts of fur on her ears. Having olive-green eyes to complete the look, she sits prettily. An attractive female, allowing herself some vanity where it’s concerned. She takes care of herself and it shows. Though not a very tall cat, she is a happy medium. Like any other cat in RainClan, her coat allows her to shed water easily. She makes an excellent tracker, finding and picking out things most do not care to notice. This is largely due to her taking her time with things, being very patient and whimsical.Description Summary:
a light long haired she-cat with hazel eyes and a soot-black nose.Personality: 226 words
Sedgenose is typically a very bubbly, happy cat. She is kind to all she encounters, allowing them to have a “fresh start” when meeting her for the first time. She does not gossip or listen to baseless rumors about another cat. Preferring to meet them herself and judge their worth, the female is unbiased. Some would even claim she is naïve – which they would be right in a sense. She certainly seems to flicker through life without a care in the world, in her own little world. Not much phases the young cat, but needless violence certainly earns her to double take. Though a warrior, she is a pacifist. She’d only lift a paw to save herself as a last resort.History: 470 words.
She would much rather defend another – even if her assault is utterly dwarfed by another’s skill. Rather impulsive, she tends to leap in without thinking some of the time. Her only concern is another’s safety, and she tends to live more for others than herself. A problem that will come up as she ages and grows as a warrior. She struggles to be independent from her clanmates. She struggles even harder being a cat that is taken seriously. Sedgenose has wants and needs like any other feline, but she often stays in the background for either fear of being rejected or allowing others their spotlight.
Sedgekit was the result of a loving mateship. Though the only kit in the litter to make it past two moons, she was adored by her parents regardless. This resulted in her being a bit coddled, even sheltered, by her mother and father early on. Tansytail’s litter came too early and complications arose later in the two other kits. Sedgekit’s brothers had breathing problems and the medicine cat said they passed away peacefully in their sleep. Tansytail never got over it emotionally. She swore she’d never have another litter and put all her efforts into raising Sedgekit. Fearing for the life of her only child raised in an often-violent world, Tansytail filled Sedgekit’s head with positivity. She taught her daughter to always look on the bright side when things were bad.RP Example: In which Sedgenose is developing an interest/curiosity in medicine cat-ing. 364 words total.
Tansytail would be practicing this herself again, as her mate and Sedgekit’s father was killed by a fox. Sedgekit was only four moons at the time, but she could look back fondly on her father’s kind and patient voice. Unfortunately, she did not even remember what he looked like. And her mother stopped mentioning the tom early on, leading the small kit to grow up without her father’s memory. Still, Tansytail continued on despite the sadness. She kept a bright face, always. Perhaps it was due to this that Sedgekit never had to accept the loss in her life. She eventually became Sedgepaw and live went on as usual in RainClan. Her training went by without much fuss, apprenticed to a cat that had a carefree outlook as well. But it was clear to all that Sedgepaw was a lover, not a fighter.
She would hesitate harming other cats, even if it was part of her training. Sedgepaw tried her best with combat training, but never could quite get it right. It took time and patience from her mentor to teach, and there was fear she’d be left behind. It wasn’t because she was scared or stupid, but because she did not want to slice the idyllic life she had come to know as normal. She found comfort in StarClan, knowing that her ancestors looked down on her and judged her actions. Even if nobody else approved of them. If she really applied herself, Sedgepaw would be an excellent fighter. She is quick and creative when forced into combat. Though in reality, she is regretful to raise a claw.
In the end, she earned her warrior name as Sedgenose. Providing a better tracker and scout than a fighter, there was no reason to deny her that success. She effectively spotted and tracked her prey, bringing it down and back to camp. Though a warrior now, the young she-cat dreams more about helping over harming. she doesn’t know how to contribute to RainClan in a way that is her own.

The she-cat wandered into the medicine cat's den. Or rather, she limped in, favoring one paw over the other. Dewfrost, however, was not here currently. She'd frown, looking around before settling onto the earth. She had accidentally stepped on a thorn during patrol. The pain was bearable, but Emberlight wished for her to be taken a look at anyway. Besides, she couldn't exactly go around with a thorn in her paw! What a useless warrior she'd be for RainClan. Buzzing with impatience to get back to her duties, she would rise and wobble around the den. Recalling the other times cats had told her about Dewfrost's "technique" in removing thorns, Sedgenose tried to do it herself.Other: Trying out for RainClan meddie cat but will be RPing Sedge regardless of result!
From what she could remember, the other warriors told her that the medicine cat started to lick the paw pad affected. She'd raise one paw, staring questionably at it. It wasn't like she was scared but... this really was a medicine cat thing to do. Would she be stealing the work from Dewfrost? But if Dewfrost was busy, then she had to do something to remove the thorn herself! It was that simple. At least in her eyes. Beginning to lick the thorn, she'd wince at the pain before carefully finding the edges. It took a few tries, but she managed to yank it out. Stifling a yowl of surprise and pain, she'd spit the thorn onto the ground. Blood poured from the wound easily, but she was quick to lap it up. Still, the RainClan's medicine cat didn't show. Sedgenose was left to deal with it herself, and perhaps she got a bit bold in her simple action.
Knowing she could apply moss to the wound to soak up the blood, she'd hobble over to the medicine cat's stash. She'd know the look of moss anywhere though - it wasn't that long ago she had been an apprentice. Mouse bile to clean ticks off of elders. She gave a curt nod of approval, plucking some from the stocks. After making sure it was clean, she'd step lightly on the foliage. The cushioning effect was much better than hobbling and applying pressure to the ground. She'd sigh with relief.
