Owlmind
LightningClan || 75 Moons || Deputy
Another season survived, the cold still lingering but within the coming moons the growing warmth of Newleaf would turn it into a memory of the past.
The lanky gray deputy was pleased with how quiet and unexciting the season had been. Their borders remained safe and watched, herbs were well stocked due to lack of sickness and the scarce prey they managed to bring home kept them all fed on the dark, long nights of frost. It was certainly a blessing and a reprieve from Starclan, not all Leafbares were so easy and forgiving and the future could only cause wonder as to how they next would proceed.
Nimble, silvering paws led the scrawny senior warrior through the well worn entrance into Lightningclan's wide camp. Cats were huddled here and there to eat before returning to their den and warm nests for the night, the strategic like feline flickering her long tail to dismiss the few warriors she had with her. As the trudged past her to drop their small cache off at the fresh-kill pile, the familiar ginger form of the aging molly's sister made her way over.
"Owlmind." Rosefire spoke in that soft mew of hers, dipping her head out of proper respect before letting her gentle yellow pools. "It's good the patrol managed to bring some food back, i'll make sure Kindleflare and Tigereye get some dinner."
"Rosefire." Owlmind returned the greeting, shifting a large ear to listen to her sister speak before parting her silvering jaws once more. "Has Redstar returned yet?" Recently the large, ginger figurehead of Lightningclan had been spending a lot of time outside of camp. Not that it worried Owlmind too much, but she was curious as to if anything was bothering him, or he was struggling with anything that she could help shoulder him with.
The more gentle of the two sisters gave a small sigh, Owlmind was business as usual. "Yes, our brother returned not too long ago. He's in his den but he didn't take anything from the fresh-kill pile."
"I'll take him something then, thank you." Owlmind let her wide amber hues soften ever so slightly as she gave a nod towards her sister. Though they were not nearly as close as she was to the leader brother, Rosefire still held a soft spot within the deputy's hidden heart.
Parting from her sister, Owlmind passed the small pile of prey to quickly grab a rather large field mouse that could serve a good dinner for the two high ranking cats of Lightningclan, before making her way to Redstar's den entrance. His scent was fresh and strong as the scrawny Oriental called out to him, pleased to receive a quick response.
Flickering her long, thin tail, Owlmind padded near silently down into the burrow her larger brother used for his solitary den, as all leaders did. Those wide, unreadable amber hues focused on Redstar's resting form though his ears twitched with alertness as she dropped the mouse at his paws.
"Rosefire told me you haven't eaten yet. My patrol brought back a goood catch so go ahead and enjoy some fresh prey."
