Leaf-bare 25, 7
There is a sense of relief as a warm front moves through the valley, melting the snow in the trees while the ice on the river begins to break apart at last. However, the ground turns to slush, making quite a mess of things.
During the day, whilst the sun had been present, the snow in the valley had begun to melt. The new liquid began to mix with the terrain to make a soupy, slushy mess, and it was likely every cat attending the gathering would need to spend hours grooming themselves after their journey. There was no avoiding it however, as it was yet again time for the clans to gather. Redstar led his entourage, wondering how the spat between NightClan and TreeClan had progressed, as well as the general well being of the other cats in the valley. Seeing they were the first to arrive, Redstar took his position and waited for the rest of the attendees, pleased that during Leafbare they had arrived first, hopefully sending the message that they were prospering.
Attending with him: Owlmind, Kindleflare, Tigereye, Greenpaw, Goldenpaw, Shadeheart, Sunnyheart, Crowface, Lynxwhisker (NPC), Falconblaze (NPC), Larkfeather (NPC)
Smokestar leads the chosen StoneClan cats into the clearing at a brisk pace, her fur fluffed. She doesn’t look pleased at being here, her thin fur a poor buffer against the chill; honor and her refusal to show weakness where StoneClan is concerned requires it. She shares a nod with Valiantstride before taking her place on the leaders’ rock, speaking to nobody and huddling down with her eyes narrowed.
Attending with her: Valiantstride, Ebonyheart, Birdtalon, Passionpaw, Brightmane, Skunkspots, Herondive, Rabbitfur (NPC), Hazelcloud (NPC), Sorrelclaw (NPC)
"Keep your heads up and stay together. If this is your first gathering you'd best behave yourself or it will be your last. Warriors in flank near the apprentices and apprentices on the inside. We aren't expecting trouble, but I will not have the other clans thinking we are easy pickings. Now, lets go." Silverstar stood at the front of his clanmates, leading them onwards towards StarClan's Claws with his head held high and his tail up and confident. They were in full recovery after the flood, and he'd finally come out of his painful haze of memory regarding the loss of his first life. He still had nightmares, but it was no longer a debilitating experience for him. It was the same when he first took his lives. His mind and body had taken a season to adjust, and with the loss of his first life it had happened again. An adjustment for a tom that hadn't known what to expect but had been the youngest leader at one time. Now, not so much, and that made him feel better. And so RainClan made their way, in defensive formation for strength, arriving at the Gathering with no signs of the struggles they'd been through since the flood. His clan were fed, healthy, and thriving, and he was happy for it.
Attending with him: Emberlight, Dewfrost (NPC), Splashpaw, Littlepaw, Sablepaw, Waspstrike, Finchrush, Swanflight (NPC), Sunripple (NPC), Coldrush (NPC)
Some of Darkstar’s worst injuries from the night of the assault on TreeClan’s camp were still healing, with gashes and gaps in her dark fur revealing the location of each, but she moved with relative ease as she led NightClan to the Gathering. She had told them all not to speak of the battle with TreeClan, not that the Clans wouldn’t be able to guess from the new scars some of the NightClan cats bore. The war had, surprisingly, reached its conclusion. For now. They had precious few herbs left and could afford no more fighting until newleaf arrived and their stores could be replenished, even if negotiations with Lionstar hadn’t gone well. As well as they could. Compromise did not come easily to her, but for the sake of her Clan she had managed to swallow her pride. One of her wounds stretched uncomfortably as she leaped up to the leader’s perch, but she didn’t show it, sitting to one side with her head held high and her tail curled around her paws.
Attending with her: Rainfur (NPC), Smokefur, Shadowchaser, Gracklestrike, Cinderfur, Brindlemask, Bramblepaw, Hollowpaw, Acorntail (NPC), Ashfang (NPC), Moondance (NPC)
TreeClan and the Tribe will not be attending.

Redstar waited patiently for the rest of the clans to arrive, and was pleased to see he wouldn't have to wait long. Smokestar was the first to show with StoneClan, and Redstar offered her a polite nod as she approached. Next was Silverstar with RainClan, and finally Darkstar with NightClan. Each subsequent cat was offered the same polite greeting as Smokestar, and after a bit more time had passed with no further arrivals Redstar took center stage to say his piece. "I think it's safe to assume TreeClan and the Tribe won't be joining us this evening." He began before launching into what he would consider a favorable report. "As you are well aware Leafbare isn't easy, even days like today where you are granted the smallest amount of warmth have their own drawbacks." Redstar said as he lifted a paw to model the mud caking it from the journey to the gathering. "I can happily report that LightningClan has fared better than most however. We are finding prey, and we are getting by." It was short, and it was sweet. Redstar was well aware that nobody was that interested in LightningClan, there were far more interesting things going on in the valley at the moment, thus he stepped back so another could take his place. @zen

where there's smoke, there's fire It didn't take long for Silverstar and Darkstar to arrive, their Clanmates joining those already gathered in the clearing. Redstar, after waiting a short time, was the first to speak up and declare that TreeClan and the Tribe weren't going to make it and began his report. He didn't have much to say, no news of births or apprentices or warriors; when he stepped back Smokestar took his place.
"StoneClan has fared well this leafbare. We've had four kits become apprentices: Flintpaw, Slatepaw, Frostpaw and Squirrelpaw. Dawnchaser and Paintedmask have both received their warrior names, and we've had a cat we thought lost return to us. Ashpaw, though taken by foxes, was rescued and came back to us this season." She didn't mention the two loners that had come to StoneClan with her nephew- none of the other Clans needed to know about them yet. Maybe later, when she knew them better.
"Sandblaze is absent because he's ill, but we still have Ebonyheart to offer her knowledge and skill to StoneClan. With any luck, he'll be back to full health in no time." With a step back, she settled down again, letting the next leader take their place to share their Clan's news. Smokestar of StoneClan

Silverstar 55 Moons RainClan Tom It was soothing even with the gathering of so many cats of different clans in one place, to have the snow still visible in patches and sitting in the cooler shadows of the rocks. Leafbare had been a time of healing for the tom, of recovering after losing his first life during the flood. He wondered, but didn't trust anyone enough to ask, if all the leaders had faced such a rough transition the first time they lost a life. Well, that was neither here nor there, and it was his turn to present his clan's news to the others. He did note, as he came forward to say his piece, that the gathered cats were far fewer than they had been in recent moons. The Tribe cats he understood, the mountain would likely be still bogged down with snow at this time, but where was TreeClan? Well, as they were at war perhaps it was for the best that they hadn't shown up.
He cleared his throat. "RainClan has experienced a time of expansion in our numbers in several respects. Ferngaze safely gave birth to a litter of kits just recently and it will be my pleasure to see them grow and eventually become apprentices of RainClan. Troutpaw and Stormpaw have joined the ranks of our apprentices and are doing well in their training. And finally Silentcreek has finished his training and now strengthens the ranks of my warriors."
He chose to leave out that they were still painfully short on herbs due to the flooding out of the territory as well as the fact that Dewfrost sought an apprentice. Neither of those things seemed like any of these cats business to him. With that said he stepped back to allow the next in line to make their announcements.
The future lies before you, like freshly fallen snow Be careful how you tread it, for every step will show author unknown @zen

Darkstar I don't got time to look over my shoulder Redstar finally stepped forward, TreeClan had yet to arrive, though the Tribe had announced previously that travel down into the valley during leaf-bare was too much of a hassle for them. Darkstar rather preferred it that way, despite the fact that she had accepted Skyteller’s offer of alliance. They didn’t belong at the Gathering as far as she was concerned, let them stay in the mountains. Redstar complete a short report about LightningClan, hardly anything worthy of listening to, and stepped back. Smokestar took his place, announcing new apprentices and warriors for StoneClan. Darkstar’s ear twitched with some amount of interest at the news of Sandblaze’s illness and she glanced down toward where the medicine cats sat. Ebonyheart was young. Her tail flicked thoughtfully as Smokestar stepped back and Silverstar stepped forth to give his report. Kits, apprentices, and a new warrior for RainClan. She levied her fiery gaze over the cats below, considering their water loving neighbors for a moment before Silverstar relinquished his place on the leader’s perch. She rose to her paws and padded to the edge of the boulder to address the gathering.
“NightClan has weathered leaf-bare well,” she let her voice carry over the clearing. Considering the war, the statement was truth. There had been deaths, but the war had come to an end, however she wasn’t about to announce anything about the state of affairs between NightClan and TreeClan. It wasn’t any of these cats’ business. Let them wonder. Let them think they were still at war, preoccupied. “Fleetwind has given the Clan two healthy kits, Mistkit and Fogkit, and we look forward to seeing them grow into promising apprentices and strong warriors.” Below, Rainfur sat up just a little straighter, pride for her kin clear on her face. With nothing else she felt like sharing with the other Clans in the valley, and some concern over what some of her less discretionary Clanmates might be sharing below, Darkstar flicked her tail dismissively and jumped down from the rock, doing well to hide the wince as the landing sent a jolt through a wound on her shoulder. Tail high to gather her cats to her, she headed back for home. If the other three Clans wished to sit around mingling all night, they could feel free. NightClan had better things to do. Leave 'em all behind I'm about to take over
