Moonshine had never considered herself as a unpatient cat, in fact quite the opposite but lately she had found herself paying close attention to the younger she cat's in her clan and while her own affections remained buried with Ashfoot, her duty as a mother came first and she was surveying eligable females within the age range of her only son and kit Wrenstrike. He had not yet managed to attract a female despite his good looks and while it was clear that her efforts in fiding him a mate were not appreciated in the slightest. She had perserved. Not even Brookfall warning her about meddling had been enough to stop her. 

She would find her son an eligable mate and they would give her grandkit's before she retired to the elder's den, she wanted to be young enough to still look after them or even mentor them if Silverstar saw fit and she had finished her current apprentice's training. Falconpaw had been proving to be a wonderful apprentice and she doted on him as much as she was allowed. Silverstar had made comment a few times that she was not Falconpaw's mother and thus should stop acting like one. which had not suited her. 

" I just need Wrenstrike to find love, to be happy when I am not here, after all life is very short" she mused to herself, one evening as she wandered towards the warrior den and her nest.
