Description:
She is beautiful and flawed
Being average is good and its an asset for this russet she-cat. She prefers to keep her lengthily coat will groomed when ever possible. Without daily grooming her pelt would quickly become snagged and irritate the she-cat to no end. A single black dorsal stripe starts at her forehead and ends at her tail. Like her father she carried emerald eyes, that off set the brown-red of her pelt. Unlike her mother Amara was built to be versatile. She has both strong legs, front and back, to be a decent hunter and fighter. Similar to her mother she maintains a graceful stride that allows her to appear pretty even in the fiercest of battles. As a constant reminder of her life, Amara carries well hidden scars. One across her forehead, two on her shoulder and one down her flanks. Progressing further into age, Amara will see the grey pattern across her nose and her coat almost roan with the added moons. She embraces what makes her beautiful and accepts what takes away that beauty.
Description Summary: A dark-tawny slender she-cat with green eyes and fluffy black tip tail
Personality:
She had to be cleverOne you face the threat of death daily, you have to learn how to attack each problem from a different angle. Amara had learned to not only be quick on her feet but also quick witted. She'd hate to admit it but it was thanks to her mother. Shatani was cruel and unjust as a leader but she was clever and cunning as a fox. Shatani was able for the most part cheat death in many forms, a trait passed on to her daughter. Amara's views on life and death is just be quicker than the storm, out run it if you can, the smarter you are the longer you last.
She had to understandAmara met she-cats and toms from all walks of life. She cultivated a sense of understanding for all walks of life. Unlike her mother she felt each feline breath was worth it and that they deserved to live their life. Granted in her history she was forced to end lives, Amara still carries the weight of those lives. Paired with her clever mind, Amara is able to talk to most cats and find common ground. A diplomat out of a dictator, Amara has potential to make good and lasting friends.
She became lovingDespite her mother's restrictive personality and choking hold on the young she-cat's life, Amara developed a strong sense love. Because of her willingness to understand, Amara was able to see why Zuma left. While she didn't know all the details she still loved her brother for all that he was. Her consistent love for Zuma can be seen in her ability to forgive. In all the hardships she faced during and after her mother's life, Amara remains positive that there will be better days in the future. The life she has seen can't be the only part. In Amara's eyes there must be love and understanding all around her and only available if she find its instead of waiting around for it.
She is troubledAmara still has nightmares of her mother's training and sometimes has a hard time to turn off her ferocity. It will become very noticeable that if she is in a high tension situation that a different side of Amara is seen. She is quick to anger and the last one to give up. It's almost like the young she-cat is triggered and Shatani's training arises. While she is normally capable of noticing when it is happening and tries to get away, she will in the future need a gentle nudge of those she trust to bring her out of it. Amara will use this an excuse not to have a mate at first and it will take a very special kind of cat to get her to allow herself ot love.
History:
He was the chosen one,
Amara was brought into the world before Zuma but once he joined her everything changed. She was given the minimal care to survive her birth. Even before her eyes opened she knew that her life was just lucky, her mother would have preferred to have just a single kit, she preferred Zuma. Growing up in the harshness of their mountain home Amara tried to out do her brother from the start. She was the first to climb to the top of a nearby stone, first to catch passing butterfly. All that and much more to try and gain her mother's favor. Yet no matter how many butterfly wings she managed to show her mother they were pieces of dirt compared to Zuma. That created a conflict within the she-cat that she still struggles with. Her love for Zuma is strong and will stand the test of time, but her feeling of less than adequate tormented her. She found little comfort in Mosi, their older half brother. He had been dealing with their mother's mistreatment for a greater portion of his life. Mosi became her protector. She'd often turn to him to praise instead of their mother. He would say he was proud, glad that shes was clever enough to trick the moth, strong enough to climb the stone or fast enough to catch him. Mosi saw her as she saw herself, a worthy daughter.
He had forsaken them all,
Shatani, their mother, had a planned devised before they were born. She was going to groom Zuma to be a killer in order to bring the Clan to their end. Amara was groomed to be a willing martyr for their cause. If Zuma died before her she better die right after or risk her mother's wrath, a she-cat known for torture. Once Amara was of decent size an notable capability to begin training she did. Shatani was not kind in her teachings. Despite their notable developmental differences Amara learned quickly. She progressed into a lethal fighter, sharing in her mother's ferocity but lacking in brutality. Amara was often put against stronger she-cat within her mother's troop. She became well antiquated with pain and soon enough brutality was beaten into her.
Furthering her training Amara was given missions, trusted with certain tasks to ensure her mother's plan would be carried out. There was a time in her life that she simply took orders and lost herself, let her body take control. As the moons progressed she saw her brother making friends with their sworn enemies, a Clan cat. Despite her training she couldn't remain that loyal to her mother but instead to her brother and decided to keep this secret. Less than a moon after she saw Zuma with Clanners, he left. That night she knew true pain.
He had broken her
The departure of her brother left a hole within the she-cat, she hoped that he would come back to her to save her but he never did. Shatani became paranoid that any cat would leave her, she required that all cats have a partner if ever they left their makeshift home. Those who didn't take partners would suffer punishment and in some cases death, Amara grew too terrified to depart from her mother. Amara remained resilient and learned to enjoy what part of her life she had control over. She realized that her brother wasn't going to be her hero, she had to save herself. From the broken pieces that he left she had rebuilt herself.
She was freed
Shatani's death was a blessing to Amara. There was no love between mother and child and hen the tawny older she-cat took her last breath. Amara was safe to finally start breathing. The gathering of she-cats that her mother had turned to her daughter for leadership but the she-cat had no part. She took this new found freedom to leave the place of her living hell to find her own paradise. She lived for many moons in the valley avoiding the clans in general, lurking on the outskirts. She was clever and took great care to blend her scent with nearby brush or scent markers to easier blend in. Part of her wanted to leave the valley entirely but another part was drawn to seeking out her brother, tell him that their shared demon was gone. Only then would she feel comfortable to leaving, she just needed to find him.[/blockqjote]
