With the low moonlight filtering in onto the burnt campsite of Treeclan, a cool wind blew, maybe signaling rain. That would be good if the forest dweling cats could get some sky water. Silver light shimmered down, coating the cats that wandered aound in a soft essance as if to calm them from all their troubles and worries. It was a quite night, cats settling down early, though there wasn't much to do now that most of the forest went up in smoke.

Pale eyes stared up at the silver light, his sandy fur shimmering as a pale silver before movement caught his attention. From his little spot away from his clanmates, the estranged small tom turned his head to come to view a larger, more muscular tom. Ears pricked as his head tilted to the side, if he showed emotions, amusement would have flashed accross it because it looked like this messagener cat had serious trouble finding the sneaky tom.

"Lionstar wishes to see you." The older tom spoke in a low voice, forcing Littletimber to swerve his ears forwards to catch the low muttered words before the messanger turned to trot away, presumably back to his bed. Head still tilted, the sandy brown tabby narrowed his eyes, the words ringing in his head. Why would Lionstar need to see me. Yes the leader once mentored Littletimber... for a couple of moons when his foolish mentor died showing off, but that couldn't be why Lionstar wanted him. Pulling himself up to his small paws, the strange tom decide to go and find the massive Treeclan leader who had summoned him.

Slipping through the shadows, small paws made no noise as he quickly made his way where he knew the lion like tom would be waiting. Ears flickered, Littletimber caught the sounds of a purring mother from the Nursery as he passed it, probably Gentlebreeze with her newborn kit. With a swift tail flick, the small tom rounded the Nursery and slipped through the shadows, coming up next to Lionstar's shoulder as the older tom watched the clearing, probably expecting the strange tom to just walk up to him.

"You called for me?" Shrill voice sounded quietly, Littletimber's head tilted to the side as those eerie blue eyes watched Lionstar like emotionless blue pits. His face void of any feelings as he waited for Lionstar to respond to him.

Lionstar TreeClan || 39 Moons || Tom

"Yes I did," mewed the golden tom as he recovered, his muscles having tensed and his body gave a start at Littletimber's unexpected arrival. He'd better not make that a habit, Lionstar had no intention of jumping every time the creepy smaller tom showed up - a Clan leader with jittery nerves? Oh that would look so good in front of the other Clan leaders come the next gathering. Lionstar had been watching the nursery for a short while now, reflecting on the extremely difficult kitting Gentlebreeze had suffered through, and in particular, how much of a huge help Littletimber had been throughout the entire process. Lionstar did not know enough about healing to go as far as to say that the small brown tom had saved Gentlebreeze's life, but if he had to wager a guess, Littletimber was without a doubt a contributing factor to his friend's and her kit's survival. Rather than skirt around the issue - from what he knew of Littletimber's personality, dragging out the conversation would be unfavorable for them both - the massive golden tom plunged right in. "Have you ever considered becoming a Medicine Cat? I'm going to be honest, and say that your performance yesterday was extremely beneficial in saving Gentlebreeze's life, and you have my deepest thanks for that. Your calmness under pressure is exactly what this Clan needs in a new healer." And someone Clanborn. He held his tongue in that regard, shifting on massive paws to neatly curl his tail, the plume almost constantly dirty due to his efforts in camp reconstruction and hunting in what was left of the territory that hadn't been destroyed by fire. As soon as this meeting was over, Lionstar intended to take a much needed break from anything that involved thinking and do a little personal grooming. But that came later. First, he had to see that StarClan's words had been true, and that Littletimber was the saving grace TreeClan so desperately needed. Staring into the emotionless blue pits of their one hopeful replacement for Elderpaw, Lionstar, after many many moons of practice, matched that empty expression, his military brusqueness returning so as not to allow too many emotions to rise to the surface. He did not want to pressure the tom into accepting - though even if he did, would he be able to tell? - but Lionstar would not keep up this courtesy for long. Though no intention of hounding Littletimber into agreeing, he would certainly argue his case until he ran out of words, the golden tom prepared to go that far and further if it meant that his Clan would once again become secure.

Once again, amusement would have flashed accross the emotionless face of the sandy brown tom, but once again, he didn't show such things. However, despite the jumping of a spooked Lionstar, the younger tom's eyes narrowed at his leader's question. Medicine Cat. For Treeclan? He wouldn't deny that the forest dweling cats needed one of those, after all the lost Elderpaw in the fire. He also knew that Sunstride was kicking himself for that loss, he had grabbed the herbs but didn't check to see if Elderpaw had been following.

Turning his head from Lionstar, Littletimber let his teal-blue eyes run over to take in the sight of the slightly rebuild, burnt Medicine Cat's den. Whispersong said my destiny was different from the other warriors of Treeclan... He thought, tilting his head to continue examing the den. It's not like he wouldn't mind, he'd be away from all those lumbering, snoring warriors who liked the touch of others fur while he laid in the corner away from all of them. Flicking his tail, the tom turned his attention back to the waiting Lionstar.

Taking a breath to let his mind finish wandering over the proposition, the small tabby tom flicked his ears, blank face looking at the blank face of Lionstar. To be the Medicine cat. Whispersong helped me with Gentlebreeze, I wouldn't have been able to find any of those herbs or push air back into the she-cat's lungs without her whispers. Ironic, I suppose. Lionstar looks as if he's thought over this a lot. Starclan must have sent him a message, like they have with me.

"Very Well." Littletimber spoke in his shrill voice before standing up, slipping back into the shadows as he left Lionstar's side. Slinking along the darkness, the small tom found his small paws leading him into the Medicine Cat's den. So this was to be his now.

Lionstar TreeClan || 39 Moons || Tom

Sharp golden eyes blinked not once, twice, but three times in quick succession, his jaw slackening as his gaze locked instantly on that of Littletimber's. "Really? I mean - Yes, well, that's great then. When did you..." Trailing off upon seeing that his words had failed to hold their new Medicine Cat in place any further, the golden tom, still collecting his rattled thoughts, surged on powerful limbs to catch up to the departing Littletimber. Casting a wide glance around the scorched, charred remains of what had once been Elderpaw's den (reconstruction had begun last on the Medicine Cat's den, as there had been no one living it), Lionstar making a mental note to assign some apprentices to begin repairs with more vigor sometime later. "You will need to travel to the Moon Tree, then? To meet with StarClan. I'll assign a small party." Lionstar was perfectly aware of Littletimber's dislike for large social events as well as anything resembling a crowd, but he absolutely could not allow the small brown tom to travel so far away with nothing short of a guard patrol. He would sooner chew through his own tail than allow another Medicine Cat to die during his reign as leader. It was distressing, terrible for morale, and left TreeClan up a creek without a way to cross. That was easier than I thought. The ease with which Littletimber had accepted his new role as Medicine Cat left the golden tom wondering; perhaps Littletimber had received a message from StarClan? That would certainly explain why he'd been so emotionally prepared for this...

Pale eyes glanced over his small shoulder to catch sight of Lionstar bounding up behind him. The young tom was supprised that the leader had been able to catch up so quickly. The sandy brown tabby had a habit for randomly appearing and disappearing without a trace, this of course bothered several of his clanmates and he was sure it bothered his leader as well. With his ears tilting backwards to catch the lion like leader's words, the tom turned his head back to look at the sad den.

At the mention of cats taveling with him, Littletimber wrinkled her nose. Lionstar knew how much Littletimber enjoyed the company of others. His tail lashed as he turned around to face Lionstar, curling his haunches underneath him, sitting. Those pale blue eyes glowed at an unearthly color from the light of the moon as he narrrowed them at Lionstar. A partrol to Moon Tree... Who does he have planned for that? Daringheart. Stormchaser. Those are his two best friends. Hopefully not Adderstrike, that tom was on a bad roll as of late. Featherpaw and Silverpaw, did he think that a couple of apprentices would do a good job?

Littletimber shook his head. "As acustom for a new leader to only be accompanied by the medicine cat. I will only require your pressence." Short, sweet and to the point. That shrill voice was basically telling Lionstar what Littletimber required and ended that conversation, leaving nothing left up for discussion. With a tilt of his head, the small tom pulled himself to ths paws, ready to sleep in his nest for one more night before moving away from the others.

With a flick of his tail, the younger sandy tabby left Lionstar standing in the medicine cat's den. Littletimber was gone in a blink of an eye, his tail giving a last flick in the moonlight as he dissapeared into the dark Warrior's Den.
