Description:
Wolfclaw is an odd cat, indeed. At his birth, the tom looked nothing like he does now. He was born with a midnight black coat, and every cat expected him to stay that way. As the kit grew into an apprentice, his fur began to change. It started with just a stripe along his back, fading from black to a dark grey. As he aged, the color change spread down his flanks, lightening from the top down. By the time he became a warrior, Wolfclaw's pelt had completely transformed. His legs, belly, face, and ears retained their dark, inky black coloration, while his back, sides, and tail became a silvery grey.
Wolfclaw is a massive cat. Large paws, sturdy legs, and rippling with muscles, Wolfclaw is certainly intimidating. A big head and large muzzle encased in black frame a pair of large round eyes, the orbs taking on a greenish gold hue. His fur is of a medium length, but does little to hide his bulk. Even under the coarse hairs, the strength and power he holds is prominent.

Description Summary:
A bulky, silver and black tom with green-gold eyes.
Personality:
Wolfclaw, first and foremost, is a warrior. Loyal to his Clan, to his family, and to his friends, Wolfclaw is one cat you want on your side. He won't hesitate to fight for his Clan willing and able to win every battle, even at the cost of his life. He has more of a hotheaded nature, and some might even say he's battle hungry, but fighting is his talent, and he's good at what he does. Wolfclaw is an expert fighter, as evidenced by his massive form. Hunting, however, is a weakness for him, though he doesn't let it stop him from serving his Clan.
Wolfclaw is, despite his burly appearance, a surprisingly friendly cat. He's willing to do anything from help an elder on a walk, to playing with kits, to bringing food to elders and pregnant queens, to helping apprentices perfect their moves, to helping the medicine cat collect herbs. Wolfclaw is kind, and gentle, when he tries. He's a friendly, likeable cat, though many cats may be put off by his bulky, muscular form.

History:
wolfkit --
Wolfkit was born into a litter of three to two average StoneClan warriors, Boulderleap and Gorgeshadow. He was the oldest of his litter, his two sisters being Bearkit and Pantherkit. Wolfkit almost immediately emerged as the leader, being much bigger than his leaner sisters, and was the first to begin causing trouble. Wolfkit was always the first to do things, the first to open his eyes, the first to begin wandering off, the first to get outside the nursery, always the first. Wolfkit was a reckless, curious kit, always leading his sisters into trouble.
One night, however, Wolfkit constructed a plot. He wanted to see the world outside of the StoneClan camp. Bearkit, the littlest kit, was bold and brave, and ready to go right beside him. Pantherkit, the middle kit, more apt to wait until it was time, was reluctant, but when Wolfkit and Bearkit began to leave without her, Pantherkit ran to catch up, if only to make sure they stayed out of too much trouble. The three kits snuck out of the camp, getting their first taste of the outside world. Wolfkit led the way, wandering around pretty aimlessly. Bearkit followed close behind, always the partner in crime. Pantherkit trailed last, wary and uncertain. The trip turned out to be pretty uneventful, and when Bearkit began to fall behind, tired, Wolfkit called the trip off, and the three returned to camp, creeping back into their nest without getting caught. Of course, Gorgeshadow knew what they were up to, having woken up almost as soon as the kits moved away. The queen knew, however, how her kits were, and had let them go. After they had snuck out, though, Gorgeshadow had gone to her mate and told him of the kits' adventure, and the tom went out and followed them, letting them have their adventure, but being there in the shadows in case things turned sour.
wolfpaw --
Wolfpaw was apprenticed without much fuss, his mentor being another average warrior, a she-cat named Briarleaf. Wolfpaw excelled in his training, mostly in battle training. He was by far the largest apprentice in the den, and it showed. In every apprentice versus apprentice battle training, Wolfpaw won, each and every time. Hunting, however, didn't come easy for him, as his larger size soon proved to be a disadvantage there. However, Wolfpaw still trained hard, harder than any other, and his sister, Bearpaw, stood right by his side the entire time. She and Pantherpaw excelled at hunting. Pantherpaw, as the trio grew, became more distant from her siblings, unapproving of their more boisterous natures. Wolfpaw and Bearpaw drew ever closer, their bond becoming unbreakable.
Wolfpaw, Bearpaw, and Pantherpaw were halfway through their training when StoneClan entered into battle. Against LightningClan, a patrol of cats went out to fight for Sun Stones. Wolfpaw and Bearpaw were in the battle patrol, as Pantherpaw wasn't one to jump into battle. As the battle raged on, Wolfpaw and Bearpaw fought side by side. Wolfpaw tore into the cat in from of him, shredding fur and drawing blood. As the cat turned tail and ran off, Wolfpaw noticed Bearpaw had vanished. Wide-eyed, Wolfpaw cast his eyes around the fighting cats, seeing his sister's limp form on the stones a few tail-lengths away. Wolfpaw raced to her side, but it was too late. His partner in crime, his best friend, and his youngest sister was gone. The battle died, StoneClan victorious. But to Wolfpaw, it felt like a loss.
The greying apprentice carried Bearpaw's body back to camp, refusing to accept help from anyone else. As the patrol padded into camp, Gorgeshadow, Boulderleap, and Pantherpaw were waiting to welcome their victorious family. When Wolfpaw carried Bearpaw to the center of the camp, however, their joy turned to fear and disbelief. Gorgeshadow wailed as Wolfpaw gently lay his sister down. Boulderleap bowed his head, and Pantherpaw glared at Wolfpaw. Wolfpaw laid down beside the still form of his sister, curling around her protectively as he sat vigil through the night.
The next morning, after Bearpaw's body was buried, Wolfpaw went to his mentor, asking that his training not be put on hold while he grieved. Briarleaf didn't completely approve, but she agreed. The rest of Wolfpaw's training went by rather uneventfully, as the apprentice went through the motions almost lifelessly. He still excelled, but there was no light in his eyes anymore. It was almost as though he was a ghost of himself, just existing, no longer living.
About a moon before they were to be made warriors, Pantherpaw and Wolfpaw found themselves with little to do, as both of their mentors were busy. Pantherpaw asked Wolfpaw to go out for a hunting trip. Wolfpaw agreed, even though he wasn't exactly sure why she wanted to be near him. Pantherpaw had all but outright avoided him since Bearpaw's death. When they got away from the camp, Pantherpaw turned and began yelling at Wolfpaw. She admitted that she blamed him for Bearpaw's death, as he was the big brother and should have been protecting her. She also stated that the way Wolfpaw had been acting since Bearpaw's death had made him a disgrace to his family, to her and Boulderleap and Gorgeshadow, and to his entire Clan.
Pantherpaw left him there, as he took every word to heart. Wolfpaw disappeared for a few days, drifting throughout the territory and beyond. When Wolfpaw returned three days later, he was different, and his old fire was back. His resolve had been hardened again, and he silently vowed to live every day like it was his last, and to never let the memory of his sister die. He wanted to make Bearpaw proud.
wolfclaw --
Wolfclaw was made a warrior with his sister, and they sat their vigil together. Wolfclaw and Pantherstep were finished with their training, and now ready to begin their lives as full warriors of StoneClan. The relationship between the siblings remained a distant one, but it was no longer strained like it was following Bearpaw's death.
The first few months of Wolfclaw's warrior life went on as usual, patrols and hunting and keeping his skills sharp. When he was about eighteen moons, Wolfclaw was given an apprentice. Pantherstep seemed a tad jealous, but she congratulated him after the ceremony. His apprentice was Stonepaw, a silvery grey tom with yellow eyes. Stonepaw was a challenge for Wolfclaw, as it took Stonepaw a while to fully understand what he was doing, and then a little longer for him to figure out the proper way to go it.
Wolfclaw, as with his own apprenticeship, worked hard with Stonepaw. He spent longer with him than most other mentors did with their apprentices, working with the apprentice as much as he could. Though he took a while to understand things, Stonepaw worked hard and was always eager. Wolfclaw proved to be a great mentor, and the two became close, even though it took an extra moon for his apprentice to be made a warrior. At thirteen moons, Stonefall finished his training, and no cat called his new name louder than Wolfclaw, now twenty-five moons.
Two moons after Stonefall became a warrior, Wolfclaw was given a new apprentice, a she-cat named Aspenpaw. Aspenpaw was a shy, quiet she-cat, and it took time before she learned to trust Wolfclaw. Full trust, however, didn't happen until the two were practicing climbing, leaping from one rock to another. The pair had made it pretty high off the ground, and Aspenclaw went to leap to where Wolfclaw was. The she-cat misjudged the jump, though, and missed her mark. Forepaw stretched out for the boulder, but her legs were too short. Before she fell to her death, teeth snagged in her scruff. Wolfclaw had seen that her jump would be short and he had stepped to the edge of the boulder. When Aspenpaw had gotten close, Wolfclaw reached forward and grabbed her, heaving her onto the boulder with him.
Aspenpaw sat there for a moment in shock, trying to recover from her near-death experience. It began to dawn on her that Wolfclaw had just saved her life. The big, brutish warrior that had originally scared her was now, in her eyes, her savior. The she-cat pushed her head into his fur, purring. Wolfclaw smiled, surprised, and nuzzled the back of her neck gently. He took her back to camp after that, and the she-cat told the Clan how Wolfclaw had saved her life. With Aspenpaw praising her mentor, Wolfclaw stood aside and let his apprentice tell her tale. Pantherstep watched him from across the camp, green eyes unreadable.
From then on, Aspenpaw clung to her mentor. The she-cat had changed, and she quickly went from almost avoiding him to trusting him completely. The rest of her apprenticeship went smoothly, and soon, Aspenpaw became Aspenfrost. Again, no cat chanted louder than Wolfclaw, thirty-three moons. Three months later, Wolfclaw is still without an apprentice. He doesn't mind though, and enjoys watching his former apprentices grow as warriors in their own right.

RP Example:
The silver-backed tom yawned hugely, the action stretching his massive jaw wide. Greenish gold eyes blinked open, and Wolfclaw stretched. Forelegs out first, then a slight lifting of his chest. The tom stood and stretch his back legs, trying to keep his big form in his nest. Even though he had the largest nest in the warriors' den [and StarClan knows he needs it], it still was a task keeping all his legs and paws inside the ride at all times. Wolfclaw edged around the warriors' den, sliding out into the StoneClan camp.
The black-bottomed warrior strode across to the apprentices' den, poking his nose in. "Aspenpaw, wake up!" Wolfclaw pulled away, waiting in silence as his quiet apprentice crept out. "Well, are you ready to go boulder hopping?" The bulky warrior smiled down at his apprentice, who grimaced. Wolfclaw laughed lightly and strode towards the cam entrance. "Oh, c'mon, it won't be that bad!" Aspenpaw sighed and followed him. She still hadn't gotten used to Wolfclaw's scary size, and still wasn't certain she could trust him.
After exiting the camp, Wolfclaw flicked his tail with a smile at his apprentice and bounded off, forcing the she-cat to follow him. Wolfclaw led her to one of the rockiest parts of the territory. He slowed to a halt and sat down, curling his tail around his paws and inviting his apprentice to sit and rest a bit. "Today, we will be practicing jumping and climbing. We'll start off small, then the jumps will gradually become bigger, higher, longer. I'll go first, so you can see how far it is, and then you'll jump." At the uncertainty in his apprentice's gaze, Wolfclaw stood. He flicked his tail against her shoulder in comfort. "Don't worry. I'll be there to catch you if you slip. He offered her a reassuring smiled before turning and hopping onto a rock.
His apprentice followed, and he slowly led her from boulder to boulder, climbing higher and higher. His apprentice was doing well, slowly gaining confidence. Wolfclaw then came to their longest leap yet, a long gap between two pillars of almost equal height. Wolfclaw gave a big leap, clearing the gap easily. Aspenpaw gazed at the gap, eyes wide. "Don't thing about how big it is. Just think about getting across to me. Don't be scared." Wolfclaw's words reached Aspenpaw, and the little she-cat tried to take them to heart. She prepared herself, Wolfclaw standing near the edge of the opposing stone. And then, she leapt...
Wolfclaw stepped forward and stretched his neck out, snagging his teeth into Apsenpaw's scruff. The apprentice dangled over the drop, her heart pounding in her chest. Almost effortlessly, Wolfclaw heaved his apprentice over the edge, pulling her up and placing her onto the surface of the stone. Aspenpaw gasped for air, eyes impossibly wide. Wolfclaw sat and waited, green-gold eyes concerned. As Aspenpaw began to calm and realize what happened, Wolfclaw started to relax a bit. Aspenpaw moved suddenly, pressing her head into his fur. Wolfclaw looked down, surprised, as the she-cat purred. He dropped his head and nuzzled the back of her neck gently, a purr rumbling in his own chest. "I told you I'd be there to catch you."
After a moment, Wolfclaw moved slightly. "Come on, let's get you home. Don't worry, it's all downhill from here." The pair smiled at each other and Wolfclaw led the way down, his apprentice following carefully. As they headed back toward camp, Aspenpaw, rather than following behind, padded close beside him, finally trusting the massive warrior completely. Wolfclaw smiled, glad he had finally broken through the she-cat's shell.
