Kitten Picture 1, Kitten Picture 2, Kitten Picture 3, Apprentice Picture, Warrior Picture
Description: As a kit, Nightkit had been a particularly pathetic size, not by any standard big. In fact, he was on the smaller side, even for a LightningClan kit. He never had any desire to be big and powerful, however, setting him apart from some of the other cats. Nightkit was never as clumsy as some of the other kits, having been proportioned just right. Always at ease with himself, he spent a lot of time observing the other kits as they played rather aggressively with one another. His most prominent feature as a kit were his stunning blue eyes, a sharp contrast against his black and white pelt.
When apprenticeship came about, Nightpaw was still rather small. Of course, this wouldn't last for too much longer. With the help of LightningClan's resident white devil, the small kit began to develop muscles. Nature seemed to cooperate, allowing his body to lengthen and raise in height. Slowly but surely, it became obvious that Nightpaw had the chance of becoming a versatile warrior of LightningClan. His black and white coat remained relatively unchanged throughout his apprenticeship, but his blue eyes began to change. The color became less vibrant, sinking into an almost greenish, turquoise color. Eventually, the yellow began to make its appearance, creeping in from the outside and chasing the bluish-coloring away.
As a warrior, Nightstep has changed considerably. Perhaps not so much in coloring, but certainly in just about everything else. Now, this tuxedo tom is of a fairly impressive height, having grown from the pathetic kit he had once been. He has priminent muscles littered throughout his body, though he is by no means a stocky individual. He doesn't look as though he is built for fighting, having chosen not to rely on brute force to fight his battles. For all intents and purposes, Nightstep is a hunter. Whether he be stalking prey or another cat, it is obvious in the way he moves, the way he is so sure of his body and its capabilities, that he was a well-trained apprentice.
Nightstep's coat is primarily black in coloring, interrupted quite violently by the stark white patches of fur. A tuxedo cat without a doubt, Nightstep's chest and chin are white, as though he were wearing a colored shirt beneath his suit jacket. The white stretches down to envelop all four of his paws, running along the inside of each leg, as well as all the way down his belly. The white stops suddenly, for his tail remains completely black, not damaged once by the flashes of lighter fur. His eyes, now sitting comfortably at a dark shade of yellow, have something peculiar about them. It is almost as though he is hiding something within their depths, something dark and sinister.
Nightstep has a tendency to stand and sit quite tall, almost as though he is observing everyone nearby. Though he does spend time examining others, his upright posture is natural to him, probably developed after his mentor. He regards others with a somewhat cold, blank look, as though there is nothing at all in his mind. This only gives him an even more unsettling appearance, for his eyes say something different. Rarely does this tom smile, keeping a neutral air about him, reserving such things as emotions for a select few cats.
Description Summary: Tall, muscled tuxedo tom with sharp, dark yellow eyes.
Personality: Just as his eyes might suggest, this small cat is often in thought. It might seem odd for a cat as young as he, but Nightpaw really enjoys his thinking time. He isn't loud or rambunctious like most kits are. He would much prefer to stay in the nursery and watch the other kits play. It is obvious that, later in life, this tom will be all about strategies and tactics. He is very observant, often noting things. He really enjoys watching the higher ups, and seeing how their behaviour differs from the other members of the Clan. He also takes interest in how the behaviour of the other Clan members might change around the higher ups. He already respects the older members of the Clan, having picked up on the importance of this. His behaviour differs so much from the average kit that you might think there was something wrong with him. He doesn't speak much, but he is not mute, that is for sure. As he grows, he will focus his concern more on the boundaries of loyalty, and just how far it might be stretched.
History: Nightkit was born to his parents, Firebird and Darkcloud. He was part of a litter of three kits, his siblings being Kindlekit and Brightkit. As he grew and learnt to speak and interact, it became obvious he wasn't quite like his litter mates. He much preferred to spend time with his older siblings, Flameshadow and Shadewhisker. Even if he didn't participate, their conversations interested him. There were the occasional times when he was pushed to join Brightkit and Kindlekit in a bit of play, as it is healthy for a growing, but otherwise, he doesn't often stay in their company. They are much too rambunctious for his liking. This isn't to say he dislikes his siblings. Family means a lot to Nightkit. Anyone who has spent time with Nightkit is able to tell you that, often times when he does speak, it is a question he has to be answered.
When Nightkit was made into Nightpaw, he was given Whiteshade as a mentor. The young apprentice had an interest for the white warrior, ever since he'd been able to have a full conversation with him. Now, his behaviour is beginning to change as he spends time learning from his mentor.
