The happiest tom in the world took up resident in RainClan's own warrior's den. With a loving nuzzle to his mate he told her to take a break and stretch out her legs in camp while he spent time with his most darling of she-cat. Curled up in the warm spot that her mother just occupied was Murkykit, named for her markings that she shared with her father, however carrying her mother's bright blue eyes. Laying down beside his still sleeping bundle he curled his tail over her and nuzzled her into his warm fur and purred happily. "Murkykit, sweetheart it's daddy. I'm to sit with you while mama goes outside for a run." He purred happily licking the top of her head he wasn't sure if she was waking up and part of him didn't want her to, but he was a sucker for her warm personality even in the coldest of leaf-bares. He nuzzled her and rested his head on his paws looking at her, waiting for his sweetheart daughter to wake up and grace him with her warm personality. [/style]

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear Here comes the sun Here comes the sun, and I say It's alright MURKYKIT
Cozy in her soft downy fur, the young kitten slept, dreaming with a small smile on her face. As a kitten of her age, she needed lots of rest to grow properly. The kitten happily obliged; it was better than looking at the dismal gray Leafbare that loomed right outside of her happy home with her mother and father. Murkykit had no desire to leave the nursery. She had the adventurous spirit inside of her -- but not the willingness to trade her parents' side for the cold.
Feeling a little cramped in her sleep, the fluffy, downy kit stretched out, expecting to feel her mother's warm belly for her to snuggle against. It was only when Murkykit's small limbs felt nothing before her did her sleepy eyes peel half-way open to get a good look at her father, upside-down in her sight. The gray-tan kitten hadn't even heard her father tell her where her mother was.
Murkykit wiggled closer to her father and rubbed her small head against his forarms before letting out a large yawn and exposing a pink, toothless mouth. "Where's momma, papa?" Murkykit asked blearily.

His pale eyes looked at his daughter and smiled kindly, tucking her closer to him he licked her ears gently before answering her questions. "She went for a walk honey." He told her with a playful teasing of his tail, flicking it over her nose. He leaned up a little and bent down to look at her beautiful eyes. "Wanna play a game? Or want me to tell you a story?" He asked her kindly standing up a little to nudge her playfully his heart full of joy.
For a moment he thought of his future as her father, would he be able to watch her head into battle? Tideripple already had a hard time watching his mate before she was expecting walk toward the border. his heart sank and he wanted to take her place. He was by far more protective than he ever expected and now with his young daughter still toothless and unable to protect herself, what could he do? He could only pray to StarClan she outlived him.

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear Here comes the sun Here comes the sun, and I say It's alright MURKYKIT
The blue gaze of the fuzzy gray and tan kitten regarded her father with a look that could only be defined as love. Murkykit's respect for her father bloomed at a young age/ Anything Tideripple told her was taken into account as the truth, no matter how ridiculous his words might've been. Murkykit was so young that the idea of evil in the world was merely a silly story that her father told her. There was no meaning or existence of evil for the small, fragile kitten.
Murkykit gave her father a smile as he told her where her mother was. "That's ok, 'cause I gots you, papa," Murkykit mewed and pressed her small head against her father and nuzzled him lovingly. While Brighteyes was her mother and provided her with milk, Tideripple was her father and fed her imagination with colorful stories that her young mind lived on. Though her world was her nursery, Tideripple had introduced her to the world outside of the nursery -- a world full of exciting, joyful things and color.
When Tideripple asked her whether she wanted to play a game or have a story, Murkykit was quick to answer. "Story, papa!" Murkykit meowed and then squirmed a little so that she was pressed up against Tideripple's warm belly. [/blockquote]

No amount of fresh kill or beautiful days of new-leaf would have him trading his daughter's love. He enjoyed her naive way of enjoying the world, she hadn't yet truly felt just how hard a warrior's life would become but he wasn't foolish and knew she'd face it sooner or later, he just hoped she would be ready and strong like her mother and father.
His ears flickered when she asked for a story that wasn't a doubt in his mind she'd choose that answer, Murkykit had always been one to enjoy story telling, Tideripple was talented enough to know how to build a story that captivated his kit's mind.
"This is the story of the she-cat named Silverpelt and how she came to be." Tideripple said easily, thinking on how he'd tell her the story and lazily sprawled out to tuck her closer to him.
"Long ago before the clans even moved to the valley or even by the lake. There was a beautiful she-cat, her name was Silverpelt. While she was the daughter of a strong and power leader she was gentler and easy going. Always having a kind word to say to everyone it was no wonder she adored kits most of all. Her father had chosen her a mate, a common practice back then might I add, he chosen her the deputy he honored to be the sire of kits, but Silverpelt wouldn't have any of it. You see she had fallen in love with a young warrior, about her age who's personality was by far grander than the deputy's brute strength. " Tideripple paused giving her a few kind and lovely licks on her ear.
"Her told her father that she wouldn't ever become mates with the deputy and that evening they played to run away together, just until her father's angry subsided. Yet her father had sent the deputy to kill her love and he did. So mourned for her warrior for many days and night. Till StarClan gave her a choice, if she became part of their ranks and joined them in the sky her warrior mate would be reborn. She agreed without question and was taking in his place into the sky, her darling mate breathing again.
StarClan needed a cat to guard with a loving heart the sky they so wildly roamed. She was the just the kind of selfless cat they were looking for. She went past brute strength to see the heart of the warrior. Now it might seem like a bitter ending, Silverpelt going to the Star while her mate remained on the earth forever walking alone. No instead StarClan was quick in their justice and took back the lives they gave her father the leader and the deputy ran away after seeing StarClan's might. Her mate was placed up as leader able to talk with her in his dreams every night or even see her in visions during the day. " He again paused, a warm smile on his face.
"They say that Silverpelt burns brightest on the nights of no moon, for she is able to see all around and watch over all the she-cat and their kits, for first she was a lover before being a protector." Tideripple ended his story with a slight purr, thanking an old elder for sharing that one with him moons ago. "Did you like that one?" He asked her kindly, nuzzling her cheeking a warm purr in his throat.

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear Here comes the sun Here comes the sun, and I say It's alright MURKYKIT
The furry mostly gray kitten watched her father with wide blue eyes. As Tideripple began a story, as she had requested, a common, purely joyful smile flashed across her maw. Murkykit's father painted a beautiful story for the young kitten and as he spoke about the somewhat tragic tale of Silverpelt, the blue eyes of the kit almost reflected the tale that Murkykit's imagination brought to life.
Despite how fast the small kitten's mind was churning, Murkykit paid little attention to the story. The details about Silverpelt's sad life and her cruel father were cast off by the kitten's innocent mind and such concepts were replaced with thoughts of the colors of the stars and the jet blue sky at night.
After the story was over, Murkykit felt tired and let out another gaping yawn, even though she had just woken from a nap a little while ago. The kitten felt as if she, like Silverpelt, had been through an adventurous life time. Peering up at her father and tilting her head, Murkykit spoke. "I loved it! But ... did Silverpelt have the same color fur as me?" she asked, as if her question was the most important question in the world.

She was adorable and Tideripple couldn't ever wish for a more charming of a little kit. Flicking his tail effortlessly around her, flicking her ear gently. Bending his head down to nuzzle her cheek and lick her forehead just a little. Thinking of the best answer to her question, not sure which answer would best suit the moment.
"I think her pelt was like similar to your pelt, but I wouldn't worry too much about that. I'd never keep you away from mate if you take one." He spoke kindly, promising to his daughter which was simple but he knew in his heart hard to keep. She was his first born and if StarClan willed it there would be many kits after her, but forever she'd be his first darling daughter and wanted her to know that forever.

Her small and not particularly developed neck stretched upwards to meet Tideripple's fuzzy form and poke-y whiskers. Feeling his tail around her, Murkykit felt completely secure against her father. Warm, happy, and sleepy. Blue eyes once cast at her father peered downwards and her eyelids and head began to droop a little in oncoming sleep. The warmth of her father against him was not like any warmth -- it was the kind of warmth that was like a light in a dark room, or hope when you once had none.
The kitten felt her father give her a few gentle licks on the forehead and the RainClanner wrinkled her nose a little at his efforts. As much as in the future she would claim to loathe all of Tideripple's grooming and attention, Murkykit truly basked in the moment. Though she was more alert now that she had been previously, the smell of his breathe hot against her tiny frame in a world that was cold as ice gave Murkykit a sense of joy. Once Murkykit was completely content, Tideripple stopped.
The gray tabby she-cat looked up at her father with clear, loving blue eyes and a small, kittish smile showing on her young visage. When his father spoke, Murkykit gave him a small frown. He always makes things so serious! Murkykit huffed, eyes flicking to the nursery wall ahead of the pair. While she loved him with her heart and soul and would not change a thing about his personality, he did certainly know how to dampen a mood. Her father said that unlike the father in the story, if she were to take a mate in the future, he would respect her choice upmost. Well of course he would! That's not something he needs to be promising me. Right? Murkykit thought and tipped her tiny head to the side, as if such actions might make her think better. Whether the reality she had construed in her head was correct or his, Murkykit wished to move past the very distant future. Murkykit was ill-prepared for what lay ahead of her and frankly did not want to know. The kitten wished to always stay at her mother and father's side, cherished, loved, and possibly cuddled. So, instead of going forward with the story (even though she loved it quite a lot), the kitten changed the subject.
"How did you and mommy meet?" Murkykit asked, eyes remaining peeled on her father and pinkish lips and gums showing a little as she gave him an interested smile. A warm chuckle left his throat as he thought fondly upon the meeting he had with Brighteyes, the very first one they had together and alone. Tideripple had known about the beautiful she-cat for many moons, her beauty was no stranger to him. Still he was proud to say that he took a little leap of faith and started to court the darling she-cat.
Tucking his tail over his daughter, he nuzzled her again before getting up quickly and pulling out a little rock with his jaw and placing it before her.
"You see I got that rock for your mother because it reminded me of her eyes, a beautiful little stone. I promise her that I'd adore her nest with my gifts and that started our courtship." He purred sweetly, thinking even more fondly over his mate, his heart wanting to be with her now, but the cherished little kit below him warmed his heart almost the same.
"Not to long after we were alone again and I brought her another stone then told her I loved her. We've been happy ever sense." He ended his little story with a flicking of his tail over her nose and a heart warming smile.

The fluffy tan and gray kitten leaned up her father's warm body and gave a small, squeaky sigh. The laugh that Tideripple let out in response to Murkykit's question caused the tiny kit to turn her small head upward and regard her father with interest. Tideripple's laugh always made her happy because she knew that he was happy. Also, it reminded her of what she had decided a dog's bark must sound like. Face still upturned, the kitten let Tideripple nuzzle her all over. Murkykit purred contentedly as he did so and even stretched her body out with some effort to give her father a small lick with her small, wet tongue.
The kitten settled against her father, blue eyes drawn shut for a minute and forgetting that she had asked a question yet to be replied to. Murkykit's attention was drawn when her baby blue eyes observed a small, shiny rock placed before her. Murkykit flicked her ear once and gave her father a puzzled look, wanting to ask her what it was for. To play with? Murkykit reached out with a small paw to paw at the rock -- and then her father began the story.
After he was done, Murkykit gave a wide grin. "That's so romantic! She's so beautiful, isn't she, papa? I wanna grow up to be pretty like her and strong like you," Murkykit mewed before rubbing her head against her father's belly and chest, purring contentedly.[/div]
