Name: Elder
Age: 20 moons
Gender: Tom
Clan: Loner
Rank: None
Picture: silverpelt1234.webs.com/Applepaw.jpg
Description: Elder is a brown cat with a white chest. The brown fur is a mix of tan, brown, and dark brown. This brown pelt helps him blend in well, although the white chest is not as helpful. His eyes are a bright green with a yellow on the rim. Elder does not let his smaller size stop him, and is very good at jumping into trees. The short fur he has sometimes sticks up in random tufts when he doesn't bother to groom himself. His step has not kept its spring, and Elder always holds his head high despite his past. He isn't an awful hunter and manages to kill enough to feed himself.
Description Summary: Small brown and white tom with green eyes.
Personality:
Elder's tough life has a large effect on the way he acts, thinks, and feels. Elder looks up to his father, Oak, yet does not want to be him. This is from Oak abandoning him when he was so little, yet he likes that his father can make quick decisions. Another problem that came from Oak abandoning Elder, is he feels betrayed and has a problem trusting others. He wants to be able to trust, but has not met enough cats to know if he can trust them. Since he does not have much exposure to the clans he is curios about she-cats. Elder does not come across many females, so he often wonders about what he would do if he met one, and decided that he would want to further inspect her. This also means that he does not care too much about his looks. Elder would want a mate that would be able to think the way he does, although he would definitely want to learn more about any pretty she-cat.
The small brown and white cat has hopes and also fears. One of his wishes is to finally talk to his mother and sister. Elder knows this will probably never happen, yet he wishes it would. Elder loves to hunt, but he hopes to find something besides hunting to survive, for he is lonely and often wishes for a companion. The tom fears the water and also not finding enough food in the winter. He does not fear death because of his tough childhood, but does not want to die.
He has a lot of pride and will lash out if someone hurts his pride, not knowing what else to do. He realizes that he is not the best at anything, but he feels he is better then many. Elder is not a paranoid cat, yet if another cat does something that seems threatening, he will become defensive. He will not run away, but is shy and sometimes seems paranoid. The loner subconsciously avoids the clan boundaries, but some times he gets caught up in thoughts and wanders a bit onto their territories. Since he knows the area well he often thinks while he is walking back to his small den. Elder knows it so well because he stayed near the outcropping of rock where he and Mink grew up. He stayed in hopes that Mink or his dad would come back.
History: A pair of loner cats, Dawn and Oak, thought they were in love, yet they soon came crashing down to earth, and soon were very distant. Yet they decided to stay together for the sake of the kits that Dawn was pregnant with. Dawn gave birth to three kits, Mink, Topaz, and Elder. The three were rather small and did not look very healthy. Instead of mending the relationship between Dawn and Oak, the birth of the three kits widened the gap between the two cats. Elder did not understand why his parents bickered so much, and was content playing with his brother and sister.
One day when Dawn went to go make dirt, Oak told Mink and Elder they were going to go do the same thing. Elder started to get confused when Oak encouraged them to run. Yet Elder complied, wondering if there was something chasing them. When they got far far away from the camp Mink stopped, Oak urged him to keep going, but Mink wouldn't budge. Oak wouldn't take no for an answer so he tried to pick Mink up, with no success. Elder was watching them and followed Mink's lead. He scrambled up the nearest small tree and said he wouldn't leave. Disgusted, Oak stormed off, forgetting that they werent any where near their old camp. So there he left Mink and Elder, and they thought they would never see him again.
Lucky for the two kits they wandered around and finally found a small outcrop of rock. Mink and Elder did not know much about hunting and they almost didnt survive their first moon. The two happened to be near a border and so sometimes they would see a cat bury their kill, and they would scamper over and take it. They lived like this for 5 moons and were almost dead, then it became Leafbare.
Unbeknownst to the kits, Oak had been watching them during these past 5 moons. And when Leafbare came he stepped in and started to teach them to hunt and fight. Many moons passed and Mink and Elder became very skilled hunters and fighters. When they became 15 moons Oak left them again, this time on purpose. So Mink and Elder had to survive by themselves again, but they had more skills. They stuck together for another two moons before they spilt off. For the past three moons Elder has been wandering around, making sure to avoid any of the clans. He hoped at some point he would meet his brother, or father. Or maybe even see his mother and sister, who he barely remembers.
