Ginger ears lay flat on her skull as the aging medicine cat hovered near the entrance to Owlstar's den. Although the powerful leader of the Clan had once terrified her, that had dulled to a deep respect for the other she-cat. That didn't make her current task any easier, however. The knowledge weighing in the recesses of her mind reduced her to that previous state of nervous terror. It took every fiber of her being to keep her tail from pinning between her legs like the scared kitten she felt like.

Twitching her muzzle to find a clearing amongst the bundle of strengthening herbs in her maw, Kindleflare dared to peer around the edge of the den entrance. Deep amber eyes couldn't see much yet through the darkness, but she could only guess Owlstar was in her den, for she was no where else to be seen. Her paws shifted uncomfortably as a frown pulled at the edges of her silvering muzzle.

Clearing her throat awkwardly, Kindleflare called uncertainly into the dim lighting. "O-Owlstar? I-It's... It's K-Kindleflare." Her gaze fell to her paws as she struggled with the next piece of what she had to say. "I.. I b-brought some h-herbs, a-and I..." Her teeth grit around the bundle of greenery, eyes squeezing shut as she forced herself to keep going. "I... N-Need to t-talk to you... A-About s-something. O-Or r-rather... S-Someone..."

She hadn't wanted to believe it. In fact, she'd ignored it for the better part of ten suns... But she couldn't keep going like this. Not with information as heavy as this. Information that changed everything she'd thought she'd known.
