russetpaw (he/they) | galeclan
Russetpaw's eyes were wide with excitement as he swallowed, entering close behind his mentor, Nobleflame. His heart pounded as he looked around at the gathering cats, the first time that they would be gathered since the valley had shook apart. The memories still rung through the apprentice's mind as though it were only a few sunrises ago, but it had been full seasons since Clans had been split apart, since families were torn, and new alliances were made.
Golden eyes darted around, looking at cats who were vaguely familiar, and those who they'd never seen before. Scents mingled, voices rang out, and emotions ran high both in excitement at the first Gathering, as well as some tense feelings at how it might all go.
The apprentice had been honoured to have been chosen as one of three (well, depending on whether or not you counted Ravenpaw - Russetpaw supposed he probably counted, though) or rather, four, apprentices to represent GaleClan. Though, when they looked around, it seemed that, on the whole, GaleClan had brought the most cats to the Gathering. He looked towards Owlstar, trying to figure out if there was any reason for this - did GaleClan have something to prove to show their might in the large amount of strong cats they were bringing? After all, Owlstar, Nightrunner and Kindleflare were all relatively old in their positions in comparison to their counterparts in other Clans. In fact, all three of them were older than all the other high ranking cats from the other Clans.
But Russetpaw tried to push this thought aside. He wanted to meet other cats while he was here. This was their opportunity to meet cats from other Clans without having to worry about border skirmishes or hostilities rising. While they were a proud GaleClan cat, they had always been so curious about how life was lived in the other Clans, and they wanted to know what life was like for the other cats like himself, the young cats who were just kits when the earthquake had rocked the Clans. Old enough to remember a time before, but young enough to have it shape their entire lives.
