ALL HAIL THE UNDERDOGS, IT'S OUR TIME TO MAKE A MOVE
EMBERKIT
3 MOONS ∙ SHE-CAT ∙ GORGE KIT
[attr="class","greentabletext"]The day had been quiet. Strangely quiet. No snow fell from the sky. No wind blew through the barren tree branches. Even the birds above barely made a peep all through the morning. Hushed voices whispered through the camp, not for the sake of secrecy or the need to be quiet, but because it almost felt as though loud sounds were unwelcomed. There was a feeling of both peace and tension at the same time that brought this forth, causing many to feel…uncertain. No one could quite be sure what was yet to come, or why the day had become this way, but quiet felt necessary.
Not for long, though.
High pitched squeals and meows suddenly echoed through the camp and the sound of rapid shuffling sounded from the Nursery. A small figure leapt out of the den entrance and into the camp, long legs bounding forward in surprisingly long strides. At first a few eyes snapped to the side at this, concerned that something was happening. But this anxiety faded pretty quickly. It was just the restless and rambunctious first two litters born within Gorgeclan.
Emberkit let out multiple loud laughs, tossing little clouds of white snow with her paws as she ran. She had been the first to come bursting out of the Nursery, eager to cause whatever mayhem she felt in the mood for, and she surely wouldn’t be the last. With a small leap, she turned herself in the air, falling a bit less than gracefully onto her side. She rolled once, but caught herself, shaking snow from between her ears. Narrowed and playful green eyes found the Nursery again, waiting, though impatient.
She hadn’t even been laying there for a few seconds when she jumped to her feet, rushing back towards the Nursery.
“Let's go ya bunch of snails! I ain’t staying cooped up foreveeEER!” Just as she jumped back into the Nursery, she found that she just nearly jumped straight into her mother, but barely missed. She stopped for a second, eyes widening and blinking a few times at Foxfire, who looked pretty unamused, though she didn’t say anything. A giant toothy grin returned to the tall kit’s face, and she turned to peer back at the other kits. Coyotekit, Todkit, Cardinalkit, Puffinkit, Jaykit, all of them were so slow.
“Let’s gooooooo!” She ran forward and jumped over somebody, she didn’t know who, but she felt a light brush across one of her legs as she leapt, probably the other kit’s back. She seemed to have a knack for almost messing up whatever she was attempting, but just managed through it. Her paws skidded across the Nursery floor and she turned, running back towards the Nursery entrance. Just before she got to it, she slowed down and did a light trot towards where her mother sat, rubbing up against the big red she-cat’s legs with a deep purr. Before she could even catch her mother’s reaction, the lanky kit was gone, bounding forward out of the Nursery and into camp again. Who knew that a single kit’s energy could be so exhausting just to watch…
