Wisteriapaw - 16 Moons - Gorgeclan
"Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you doesn't mean you can, should, or need to do it alone."~Wisteriapaw

She could see. For once in a blue moon she could finally see. She could count only on one paw how many times she'd been able to open her eyes and see the world around her. But it wasn't real. None of it was. Not the beauty of the blue sky above her with the white fluffy clouds overhead. Not the bright grass that she knew did not belong to Leafbare's weather lay thick and soft between her toes as she walked along a open field of vast greenery dotted with browns and grays of the rocks that jutted from the ground and a few flowers dotting like yellow and white dogs swaying in the gentle breeze. It was nice, it was beautiful. But it wasn't real. Her mind seemed to know this. Because she was born blind; nothing here was real no matter how peaceful it was. She felt it in her very soul. She could feel the shift beneath her paws. She could see the clouds once so white and beautiful turn a gloomy cast of dark grey and the sky darkened with it. She could feel the trembling of the earth beneath her and she watched with bright blue eyes filled with horror as the skies darkened and the grass and flowers in the field wilted and decayed within seconds in front of her eyes. She watched in terror so consuming her entire body as the earth began to crumble and jut up from the ground as it began to tear itself apart. Some sinking into the darkness below while other rose to the sky. She felt herself falling and realized that a piece of the ground beneath her paws was sinking into the impossible darkness below into the chasm that the earth opened up into. She cried out in fear and propelled her legs; weak and trembling to find stable ground. Jumping from one piece of earth to another; higher and higher as each stepping stone she touched would crumble beneath her like ashes and vanish into the ever growing abyss below. Her paw slipped, there was no more ground to cover and she found herself tipping backwards with the wind howling in her ears she felt herself falling backwards with a loud yowl of horror, panic, and flailing limbs until darkness was all she saw.
Wisteriapaw's gaze opened with a flash but darkness was all she saw. Still in the throws of her panic attack and nightmare fresh in her mind she thought she was still falling. Her limbs felt weak and trembling as she flailed in the her nest. There was someone there, a voice she didn't register, a scent she didn't find familiar. She wasn't curled up with Whitehawk in the warrior's den; a habit she often had to sneak in there in the middle of the night just to get away from her nightmares. But she wasn't. She was in the apprentice den surrounded by the scenes of those she knew and those that she still was trying to get used to do to the merge. Her heart was pounding so heavy in her chest and in her ears that she didn't hear the words speaking to her. She didn't see who was speaking to her and she felt as if she was going to drown from over stimulation with the nightmare so fresh in her mind. But the gentle touch of the other cat drew her back from her dark thoughts and she shifted her head towards the figure. Her nose picking up a scent she could finally put to a name. Bonepaw. The snowy molly hadn't talked much to him; more out of her own self-consciousness and partly out of fear of socializing again once the merge happened. She'd talked in passing to him of course, him being busy with the construction of the new clan no doubt while she sat inside the walls like some useless lump of fur. But even so, her nose did not lie to her of who was in front of her. Feeling her heart slowly regain control of itself she swallowed feeling her throat a little dry.
"I'm sorry..." she began clearing her throat feeling the heat of embarrassment itch her fur. "I didn't meant to wake you..." she said. "I hadn't kicked you or anything did I?"
She was so self conscious that she'd been flailing and wailing in her sleep and wondered if she'd woken up anyone else besides Bonepaw. Was he the one that was her nest neighbor or was that someone else? She couldn't remember but it'd make sense if she'd accidentally kicked him in her sleep or something.
