Description: A ruddy colored tom with a white muzzle and amber eyes.
Description Summary:
Coyote is what one could say is a "chip off the old block." Like many generations before him, he took on the overall semblance of a Somali cat. His long, silky coat is a good mix of lighter and darkers shades of red and brown. Dark chocolate fur is ticked along the line of his back and tail almost like paint splatters. The lightest part of his coat being the white hairs surrounding his muzzle coming to an end just where the fur meets the front of his neck. His tail almost always looking extra fluffed up and disheveled compared to his silky, sleek bod.
Sleek and muscular, the tom has longer legs built to climb the trees like his clanmates before him. While his fur usually covers this particular quality of the tom, he tries to keep himself in shape in order to move about somewhat unseen. Or so he thinks, as he stalks and watches other cats for most of his day versus actual prey. Much like the Treeclan cats of his parent's origin, he is quite adept at getting up most trees of the wood, using the vantage point to see anything his amber eyes can spot. His vision quite proficient at spotting things among the wood of their home.
Personality:
Coyotekit is what one might call an analyst of reactions. The tom has a very unique fascination with how other felines react to certain stimuli. A prime example being how one cat will behave differently than another cat to say something dangerous. How each cat's mind functions differently and causes them to act in various ways is what is so alluring to the tom. He's like a mad scientist that has to study how the gears turn in a well-oiled machine only it's the minds of others he wants to explore. What makes each cat tick? That's what this tom is determined to find out. So he is commonly moving about his fellow felines, doing various experiments to test how their "gears turn."
There's a huge downfall to the intelligence this tom possesses, however. Coyote has a slight lack of morality. His ability to tell right from wrong when it comes to his studies is so twisted that he is willing to go to questionable lengths to see results. He truly is not a very considerate cat in these matters. He doesn't look at how his studies will effect another cat's feelings or even their life entirely. The only thing keeping this tom from going off the deep end and doing something heinous is that he does not want to risk being kicked out of his clan and cast away from his family. While his family isn't the greatest in any sense of the word, he holds a certain loyalty towards them. His parents brought him into this world and his siblings have helped him live in it. He would be an unappreciative prick if he didn't try to be good and stay with them, in his eyes. So instead, he can be caught daydreaming about taking his experiments further than he does without acting upon them. It kills him not to be able to see those sorts of results but it would hurt even more to be cast out like he was nothing.
Despite his loyalty to his family, however, Coyote is not one to favor either of his folks. Foxfire was never the loving, motherly sort and Driftshade was always so worried about success and training. Other than enjoying seeing the two interact, they really didn't appeal to him much. His siblings are the ones he actually feels some sort of emotion for. They were born into this world together and they have greatly helped to get him to where he was today. So he holds a sense of love for them and will protect them when the time calls for it. And if there is enough of a threat, maybe he would protect his parents in some way. Without family, this tom would be nowhere. So he does have some softness to his overall strange persona.

Usually this is where one would describe this great love story where two cats come together and bring about the birth of kits. But, quite frankly, this is not one of those stories. Coyote's parents were far from what one would describe as "in love." His mother, Foxfire, was the sort who didn't take too kindly to other cats let alone warm up to someone of the opposite gender. So her pregnancy was quite the shock to pretty much everyone who knew her name. So one must question what led to the birth of her litter of three kits. Well, it all stems to this plot cooked up by Coyote's father, Driftshade.
Driftshade was a cat of well-known lineage and genes, a stud in the eyes of some she-cats. And he had hoped to one day pass on this "favored" lineage of his to kits of his own. However, he had never found a she-cat he thought was suitable to carry out this deed. Foxfire was a strong and reputable she-cat, sure, but he had never put her to thought considering that sparkling personality of hers. After a few, unexpected interactions, however, the two found some similarities in one another. They both did not approve of their then leader, Lionstar. The pair both fully believed that Lionstar's leadership was making their clan look weak. So they each had their views on how the clan should really be led in order to keep Treeclan in it's former glory. There was one issue, neither of them held a position of power in the clan to try and implement their ideas. That's when a thought hit the tom. If they couldn't make a change, why not raise a new generation of cats that could mold the clan for the better? That could wipe memories of Lionstar's reign from the clan "map" or at least tarnish his name? After many very aggressive fights about it, Drift convinced the ill-tempered Fox to go through with it. No one quite knows how but he managed it.
Foxfire, in the hopes to keep her bitter reputation intact, hid all signs of her pregnancy from the rest of her clan. She figured that she could keep other cats from knowing for quite some time before dropping the news on anyone at all. Afterall, she didn't have the patience to answer any questions about the "how" when others found out. When the sickness started, Foxfire played it off the best she could. Hoping it was just some bad prey upsetting her stomach or something of similar nature. But the symptoms only came on more and it didn't take long for someone to notice. Sagepaw, the medicine cat apprentice, caught on to this new "sickness" that ailed the angry she-cat. In the hopes to still keep it under wraps, Fox threatened the young cat to not tell anyone. That was the last thing she needed at that particular time. Shortly after the earthquake marked the half way point of Fox's unknown pregnancy. She still managed to keep things hush hush during their time among the Tribe cats.
After the land seemingly had settled, the clans went their separate ways, giving themselves new names for their new territory. Treeclan merged together with Stoneclan to become Gorgeclan. With a great loyalty to their former clan, both Fox and Drift became Gorgeclan members. Their three kits being born shortly after the new clan settles down in their new found camp. The first kit was an orange tabby they named, Emberkit. A family oriented kit by nature, she always took great care in being around her family especially their mother. Coyotekit was next, very observative and clever by nature. He was a little strange for a kit but was constantly watching and learning new things by observing any cats that came near. The third, Antkit, was born a tabby cat similar to his father. The young tom was quite selffish, however, looking out for mainly just himself. His desire to survive stronger than his overall moral values.
While Fox wasn't exactly the loving and doting sort of mother, she developed a highly protective side to her while the kits grew in the nursery. Afterall, she did help create these little balls of fur so she had a certain responsibility to them. This being said, she wouldn't let anyone get within 5 feet of her kits without her approval in those early days. They were hers and she intended to keep them safe even if she didn't cuddle or love on them. She also really didn't take an active part in teaching them the things they really needed to know. She more or less watched as they learned new things on their own and only corrected them if it involved annoying or hurting others (mainly herself). Drift, on the other hand, didn't pay them much mind at the start, taking more time to rile up Fox and pick on her. Once they are old enough to understand what is being said to them, he takes on the role of mentor. He tries to encourage the kits to practice their skills and always push to better themselves. His view of right and wrong also askew like Fox's. He did not show the kits any sort of nuturing, more worried about them becoming the best they can be. His ways of teaching very strict and cold, not taking kindly to laziness. His ways of showing love just as messed up as their mother's, depriving the kits of any sort of warmth or true family love.
Coyotekit took a great notice of his parents, mainly because they were the only older felines he really got to interact with much. He would literally study how they interacted and thought it was so interesting how different the two were. He would then watch his siblings and see how they would react to things. He was like a hawk, watching everyone's moves like some prey he was stalking or something. He developed his sense of curiousity very early on and this led to his strange enjoyment of watching how other cats handle things. Without a proper authority figure to correct him, Coyote's overall sense of ethics has taken a nose-dive. He is set on his thirst for knowledge and he plans to obtain it in whatever ways he can.
