Description Summary: A bulky black-and-white tuxedo tom with a nubby tail and bright yellow eyes.
Description:
Bonekit is a near-carbon copy of his father, Tumbleheart. They share the same stocky, muscular build; the same short, black and white fur; the same yellow-gold eyes. Bonekit has a tuxedo patterning, with the top part of his body sheathed in solid black, while his underbelly, throat, and toes are all white. Three of his four paws are only tipped in white at the paws, but the fourth, his right hindleg, has a white sock that extends upwards to his ankle. There is a blaze of white that starts just between his eyes and trails down the right side of his nose to meet the white of his jaw. From there, the white spreads down his neck to his chest, tapering off near the middle of his belly. His black sides meet there, before parting again to show off another white patch on the lower half of his belly.
Bonekit’s whiskers are bright white, sometimes stunningly so when they catch the light just right. His eyes are a yellow color, sometimes turning brilliant gold in the sunshine. One thing that tends to make Bonekit stand out, though, is his tail—or rather, his lack thereof. He only has a little stump where his tail should be. It’s not out of illness or injury though; he was just born without the full, long tail most cats have, and instead gets just a little nub. He doesn’t let his lack of a tail affect him, though; he’s just as feisty as any other kit his age.
Personality:
Bonekit, despite his larger size, is an incredibly sweet kitten. He just loves to love, and physical touch is a large part of that. With the cats that he cares about, it isn’t unusual for Bonekit to leaning against, laying over, or just touching them in some way. He’s always right up against someone, and is usually the first one to greet his family whenever they come close for any reason. His need for attention, however, does make him seem incredibly clingy at times, to the point of being a nuisance to other cats. It isn’t entirely his fault, though. Being separated from his mother at such an early age left him scarred, and even though he has his father and uncle to dote on him and his sister to grow with, he still has a fear of the ones he loves leaving too soon. He’s afraid to lose anyone close to him, so he makes sure every day that they know how much he loves them.
He’s also inherited his father’s kindness. As he grows, he’ll regularly be one of the first cats to make sure others are okay, that everyone has what they need, and that anyone who needs help gets it, even if they don’t necessarily want it. As an extension, he usually tries to go out of his way to make others laugh, even if his jokes often fall flat. Bonekit is clumsy, not only physically, but in conversation as well. He tends to fail to pick up on most social cues, believing everything is fine when it obviously isn’t. Often, he gets the exact wrong read of every situation, which can lead to a lot of discomfort for most parties involved, save Bonekit (because, you know, he can’t pick up on the awkwardness). He’s usually pegged as odd for his social ineptness, but that doesn’t stop Bonekit from trying to be everyone’s friend.
One last thing that makes Bonekit odd is his secret fascination with bones. He’s transfixed by them, no matter the animal they came from. Skulls will become his favorite, because they are the most intricate, but any time he’ll come across a bone in an odd place when he’s older, he’ll stop to inspect it, and occasionally will pick it up and bring it back to hide in his nest. He’ll eventually learn that his fascination isn’t widely approved, which will lead to him attempting to hide his interest and any collection he manages to build up.
History:
It was from an odd pairing that the two kits were born. Bone and Yew, a small litter of two from the dark, eerie Adderpool and the smitten, oblivious Tumbleheart. The early moons of their lives were spent outside of Clan territories, in a little hollow belonging to the late LightningClan medicine cat, Rookfrost. In those early moons, Bone only knew Adderpool, Tumbleheart, and Yew. Not long after beginning to eat solid foods, though, Tumbleheart brought the two kits to StoneClan, and Bone never saw his mother again. He was renamed Bonekit to follow StoneClan’s traditions, though the extra addition doesn’t faze him. He’s adjusting to life without his mother, but he still has his father and his sister, so the adjustment is a bit easier.
