It was a beautiful day; not too hot by the sun and just enough shade of TreeClan's territory that gave the cats a relief from the heat of the sun. The sky was a bright blue filled vast open space above their heads that you could see fluffy white clouds dotting it's colorfulness through the branches of the trees above their heads. It was a calm day and everything seemed to be going right for once. The birds chirped happily among themselves and sung back and forth in the tree branches while other animals like bees and frogs buzzed and croaked around. The soft sound of heart beats of animals all around and the gentle breeze that brought their scents to her gave the young warrior a shiver. Not of fear or cold but more out of being content to be out and about to enjoy the wonderful day.
The soft earth beneath PrimrosePetal's paws cooled her aching pads as she carried herself from camp and through the territory into towards her favorite spot to be at. The grass and dirt beneath her paws soon turned to soft moss and her bright pools of blue crystal eyes peered down with almost a child like excitement. She loved the feel of moss under her toes and she enjoyed the earthy scent it brought. It reminded her so much of her childhood and her mother who was one who loved nature and could not stay in camp to save her life.
PrimrosePetal laughed softly to herself at the thought of her mother as she walked into the shade of the trees and soon found herself under a large oak in the middle of the clearing that had beautiful moss coating the ground with it's vibrant dark green and the low hanging branches of the tree they circled. She smiled looking at her favorite tree before making her way over towards it and laid down on the soft moss; heaving a long sigh of pure bliss as she rolled over onto her back and stared up at the branches and the light that filtered between the leaves.
Quiet times like this was the times that made PrimrosePetal the happiest. Of course, staying in camp and helping others was a favorite of hers but she did not often get time to herself to think and reminiscence like a young warrior like herself should. So this rare moment where she was surrounded by nothing but nature and the stillness of it without chattering cats or presence of others gave her a feeling of being home again.
Gentle and kind was something that PrimrosePetal was very much known for. Childish at times and rather naive but a good girl, she was not one who was rarely disliked for anything. She of course knew she was not perfect. She had her flaws and tantrums that she would throw due to lack of attention. She was no child of course but she did enjoy the company of others and did not want others to think that she did not want to be around them either. Frowning the pale ginger tabby looked up at the tree canopy above her and reached up with her paw as if she could touch the leaves or the sunlight filtering through them.
"I wonder..." she murmured to herself softly thinking before suddenly her ears picked up the sound of tiny pawsteps coming her way.
She looked over to find a little mouse staring back at her curiously. She smiled and rolled over onto her belly before reaching out with a paw but not to swipe it down for an easy kill and instead nudged a nut towards the little creature in offering. It took it and began nibbling on it as it sat there not afraid of her. She in turn did not try to kill it and instead just rested her head on her paws and watched it eat with a faint smile on her face. She hated to kill living creatures and if she was not hunting purposefully she rather not kill recklessly for the fun of it just to bring something back to camp. If she was not ordered to she would not. That's how she worked.
The peaceful moment ended rather quickly as the mouse suddenly seemed to pick up the sound of something that scared it and it darted away leaving PrimrosePetal a bit confused before she lifted her head to sniff the air and partly sat up to look around and listen to see if she could see or hear anyone. Ah, there it was again, the sound of paw steps drawing closer. She sighed softly and laid back down. Of course her TreeClan mates would be out on a day like this as well and she would not get any peace but that was okay, she wouldn't mind the company as long as she did not have to be forced to leave her shade to go on a patrol or something.
