APPEARANCE
Appearance Summary: Pretty and lean orange tabby she-cat with pale blue eyes
Tigerkit Tigerpaw1 Tigerpaw Headshot Tigerstride1 Tigerstride 2
Beginning life as a slightly larger ball of orange and black fluff, Tigerkit is brought into this valley as a reminder of who it was that created her. Practically every aspect of her is, in some way or another, a mixture of both of her parents, though the mix leans surprisingly more towards her father.
In terms of her body, she has a smaller head and more of a lean body, both of which are common among her Lightningclan compatriots. Her ears are somewhat larger and perked on her head for hearing the smallest of sounds, whether it be the light hops of a rabbit or the heartbeat of an underground mole. While her top half resembles that of an average Lightningclan cat, her legs are where her parent mixture comes in. Her legs are in fact long and used for speed, but they are somewhat more bulky than you would assume, and her paws are larger than normal. With her father’s tree-climbing genes making an appearance, it is hard to tell whether she is best suited for the speed and running of a Lightningclan cat, the quickness and climbing of a Treeclan cat, or both.
When it comes to outer appearance, she is almost a perfect mix of her parents, though she isn’t quite right in the middle like her brothers are. Her primary coat color has taken on that of her father’s, a bright orange-brown in color with somewhat lighter tints around the face and paws. She has much paler orange-brown around her muzzle and eyes, her muzzle ranging closer to white, and her paws and neck are similar. As for other markings, her mother’s appearance comes through in her distinct tabby stripes, unlike the bengal patterns that her siblings display. The stripes are a mixture of black and dark brown, the brown coming through more in her face.
Finally, to top off her appearance, her face is adorned with medium-length white whiskers, a gray and orange-ish pink nose, and a pair of very pale blue eyes which are outlined in black.
PERSONALITY
Throughout her life Tigerstride has always been known for her curiosity. She was one of those kits who never stopped asking questions and loved stories, always absorbing any form of knowledge she could like a little sponge. In her Apprenticeship this trait only skyrocketed, as she finally had the chance to wander the Lightningclan territory, and, something she was all too keen on, seeing the borders of the other clans. As she had grown, her curiosity has never faltered, as she still seeks to learn new things all the time as an adult. She enjoys new experiences, meeting new cats, seeing new places, anything she can to work her brain. And when she is unable to find something mindful to do, she puts herself to work, whether this be in hunting, checking on the state of her home, or just relaxing with her family.
A trait that slowly developed throughout her Apprenticeship and into her Warriorhood was the trait of...well...social awkwardness. When she is with members of her family she is perfectly fine. But anyone else? She often doesn't know what to say in the moment, and is usually not one to start conversations herself. She hates small talk so much that doing it gives her the shivers, making her uncomfortable, which makes her sometimes avoid others all around. It isn't that she isn't social. She will talk your ear off if she is invested in the conversation or if you ask about something that she is interested in. But awkward silence, small talk, asking how the weather is? Heck no.
Beyond her social awkwardness, Tigerstride is a very friendly cat to everyone that she meets. Yeah she is awkward at first, but it isn't hard to gain her friendship (as long as you are not also awkward xD). She will gladly talk to anyone she meets at least once, just to say that she tried. Though, unless you reciprocate the idea of talking or getting to know each other, she will not keep going. If you come off as standoffish from the start, or snap at her or ignore her, she takes that as her cue to walk away. Honestly, in situations like that, she gives up pretty quickly, so when someone makes her feel unwelcome, she does not approach again. If they approach her, then yeah, she will try talking to them again. But only then.
Something else that developed into her later Apprenticeship and now into her Warriorhood is a..."mode", as she calls it. A sort of trance that she is able to let herself fall into where she lets her personality, her surroundings, her emotions, all of it fades away, leaving nothing but predatory instinct behind. When she allows herself to fall into this, her only focus is whatever she is doing, primarily hunting or focusing on prey. And she only allows this mode to turn on when she is by herself, as she can't exactly forget about her companions if she has any, nor would she let herself view any of her clanmates as enemies or competition in the middle of a hunt. She nearly never allows anyone to see her this way, and pretty much the only cat that she has allowed to see it is Leopardheart (like the daddy's girl that she is and has always been).
Finally, there is something else, something that was much more prevalent during her kithood and Apprenticeship, but hasn't fully disappeared. When she was young, she always dreamed of seeing and meeting Treeclan. She had such a fascination with their neighbors in the trees that she often got in trouble for going too close to their border too often. In her head, it was almost like a voice had been calling to her, something that told her that something she wanted was just across that border. When she was little, she always believe that this was just the knowledge that she had family in Treeclan that she didn't know. And during her Apprentice days she thought the same, though a part of her wondered if it was something else. She wanted to meet her family across the border, yes, but there was something else. She wanted to see their territory, she wanted to climb trees like her father once had, she wanted to know what life among the trees was like. For a short period of time, Tigerpaw had wondered if she would ever actually want to go there, to go to Treeclan, to see what it was like. But, she would be leaving behind her family if she did that. Her mother, her father, her siblings, her extended family. It was that knowledge that kept her in Lightningclan.
But, after the earthquake, and then the move into the new territories and the forming of the new clans, the only family that remained who were once from Treeclan moved to Galeclan, consisting of her grandmother, Robintail, and her aunt, Dawnpool. She finally got to meet her family members that she had always wanted to. And she had even gotten to meet many Treeclan cats, like she had wanted to. Now that she has been living in Galeclan, her whole family by her side, her urge to leave that of the fields has faded. But.....even still...something remains. That curiosity. That wonderment of what it would be like if she wasn't a meadow-dwelling cat. What if she became a tree climber? Or, if she ever got the chance, would she enjoy or be good at swimming? The likelihood of her ever carrying out these curiosities is slim, but...never impossible.

Kithood: Windspirit and Leopardheart. A she-cat of Lightningclan and a tom of Treeclan who met as Apprentices on the border between their clans. After only meeting once, Leopardpaw had risked his life for Windpaw against a fox the second time they ever met. From that point forward, the relationship between the two slowly developed into what could only be described as forbidden love. Confessing to one another and becoming mates at the end of Leaffall, the two hadn’t expected that they would have kits. Yet, while her mate faces war in his own clan, Windspirit discovers that she is pregnant in the middle of Newleaf.
As Newleaf comes to an end, she has a litter of four kits. There is a bit of sickness involved, but momma makes it out ok with all four of her little ones. Tigerkit is born the oldest, her two twin brothers born next and her only sister born last.
