Show me how to lie you're getting better all the time Climbing over his mother's soft form, Troutkit firmly planted his hind-paw on her belly. The she-cat grunted, sitting up to stare at her son. "What are you doing?" Her meow gentle, a constant comfort in his life. Closing the gap between them to nudge her cheek, he offered a purred. "Is it okay if I go get a leaf to play with?" His tail twitched back and forth, an expression of his excitement. Nevermind the fact he was practically bouncing before his mother. "You can't play with the leaf in here, queens need their sleep," Willowbreeze told him, pointing with her tail to just outside the nursery. "You can go there with Stormkit but you are not to venture too far into camp. Can't have you getting under someone's paws," Her tone firm, Troutkit dipped is head in understanding. He dared not to upset his mother. Perhaps it was their connection as mother and son that made it instinctual he didn't upset her. Or perhaps a trait passed down from his unknown father. Troutkit didn't bother to give thought to why and instead focused on getting Stormkit's attention. Clambering over his mother again, this time careful not to step on her tummy, he stumbled slightly. Landing almost entirely on Stormkit's back. Hey! I found you, let's go play with a leaf," He told her, quick to get off her so that she could get up to join him. Again preparing to scale over his mother's side. The she-cat now easily tuning out her kit's antics. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRAPHY 2.0

☁ StormkitI'm headed straight for the castle They wanna make me their queen
☁ — A displeased growl found it's way from the silver tabby's throat as the kit was abruptly pulled from her dozing by her brother, who not so gracefully crashed onto her back. Stormy blue pools flashed with a bubbling temper, a gaze that was never able to hide what emotion the young feline was feeling.
"Get off of me!" The sharp tone was snapped by the she-kit as she wriggled underneath her brother, who was only slightly larger than she was. Though she snapped at Troutkit, lip curled to show tiny, sharp fangs, the pale coated feline was hardly truly mad at him. The young kit had always been a fiery spirit, as unpredictable as her namesake.
Stormkit pulled herself to her paws as Troutkit scrambled off of her and back over their mother's flank on his way towards his destination: playing with a leaf. Flickering her plume tail, the pale coated feline made her way over their blue pointed mother as Willowbreeze softly dozed knowing her kits would be safe with warriors around the camp.
Easily slipping through the opening of the Nursery the young she-kit watched her brother for a moment with those stormy pools before she sat down to pull strings of moss from the extra toes on her front paws. She was still learning to sheath and unsheath the extra limbs, but occasionally moss or feathers would get snagged on the little claws. Once she pulled the soft, green debris from her paws and gave a quick lick to her chest fur, Stormkit returned her attention to her brother.
Jumping to her paws, the pretty tabby padded forwards in prancing trot to make her way to where Troutkit was waiting for her. "I want to go see the stream." She said once he was within earshot, and she made sure there were no annoying warriors around that could quickly stop such an adventure.
Kits weren't allowed outside of camp without their mother or having a warrior with them. But the rising shimmer within the young rebelliouskitten was enough to show that she could care less about what kits could and couldn't do. Once she had her mind set to something, not even Starclan could alter her from her path. Besides, it couldn't possible be too hard for two kits to sneak out of sight.

Show me how to lie you're getting better all the time With claws not fully under his control, Troutkit toyed with the leaf. His sister just on the outskirts of his vision. He enjoyed her company, they were siblings after all but it was his leaf. She could find her own and play with him that way. Content and busy with his current captured leaf. Troutkit tussled with the fallen plant matter. By the time Stormkit joined him, the evil Leafclaw had been shredded by the amazing Troutstar. Almost entirely on his side, the mess of torn apart leaf in his paws. His eyes went wide with Stormkit's idea. He had been only hours old when the flood happened. No lasting trauma thanks to Silverstar's care. Flicking away the dead Leafclaw, Troutkit sat up. Moving closer to his sister as the two schemed their escape. "What if we just go? I mean if we make a run for it they can't catch us both," He told her, pointing with his tail toward the camp entrance. A warrior stood as a guard. Maybe if they waited for him to talk to someone or go get a drink of water. His sharp kitten claws dug into the ground. Excitement boiling up inside him. A final glance toward the nursery reminded him of the rules. Their mother had been very strict in teaching. Would she be mad if they left without her going? Guilt joined in with the excitement in his belly, it didn't last long. She'd forgive him. He was her 'little fish' after all. Unconditional love meant happy kits but also spelled trouble for Clanmates. Unable to do any wrong in his mother's eyes, Troutkit parted from his sister's side. Sneaking, about as well as a lumbering dog, toward the entrance. Watching the guard for the moment to sprint past. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRAPHY 2.0

He'd been paranoid about the nursery since the loner had fished two RainClan kits from the river one after the other. It looked sloppy on the parts of grown warriors to let one kit get past their guard, nevertheless two. So, after the fact, he himself watched the youngest of his clanmates like a hawk. And after they'd nearly drowned hours after being born, he kept a special eye on Willowbreeze's kits. So when they started trying to sneak from camp he approached silently and scruffed one while laying his paw on the other to flip her over and pin. As he had his mouth full he couldn't speak, but eventually he just plopped one kit on top of the other and gave them both the weight of angry blue eyes. "And just where do you think you two were going? You know the rules. No further than your mother or another queen may see. Or perhaps you want to stay stuck in the nursery for even longer?" Yes, even at a first offense, he was worried enough to threaten them with holding off becoming apprentices for this. He did not want to think about what would happen if they fell into the river and it took them. "You two can't even swim yet and you are trying to escape? Do you know how sad your mother would be if anything were to happen to you?" And he felt no remorse for the crowd that was starting to gather around him scolding the tiny kits. Show me how to lie you're getting better all the time Fully-extending himself in hopes no one noticed him, Troutkit prepared to bolt forward only to be picked up. Panic escaped him in the form of a sharp yelp, claws striking out against nothing. The warning from the elders about giant words stealing kits came back to him at the worst moment. Bracing himself to feel the sharp talons of death, Troutkit went limp. Eyes shut tight. Half tempted to try for his mother, Troutkit knew it would be pointless he was likely high away in the sky. Halfway to some birds nest to be eaten. Wondering if a fish felt the same way. When his legs collided with the soft fur of his sister, his eyes shot open. Rolling over quickly to put his back against the ground, Troutkit wanted to bury himself in the earth. Until he realized how wrong he had been about the giant bird. The shadow cast by Silverstar was enough to convince him. It explained the lack of pain from being scuffed. Ears pinned back slightly as Silverstar started to lecture them about the rules. He knew them, but it wasn't like he cared about being an apprentice yet. Just over three moons old, Troutkit valued his mother's company and his kit-ish games more. Being a warrior would be done on time. Guilt formed belly at the mention of his mother. The simple idea of making her sad made his skin crawl. He never wanted to see his mama sad. The urge to call out for Willowbreeze bubbled up ins chest. Making him stutter out his reply. "We-e-e- just-t-t wa-a-a-nted to 'xplore" Troutkit struggled to hold himself together, torn between wanting his mother and wanting to be brave in front of Silvestar. ☁ StormkitI'm headed straight for the castle They wanna make me their queen
☁ — There was an ear flicker from the young shekit as her brother almost immediately changed directions in his plans of actions. So quickly had been excited about playing with a leaf, and a few words from his sister, suddenly he was ready to charge out of the camp without a second thought. She was pleased that she could divert his attentiveness to something far better than pouncing on dead foliage.
Moving to follow the more slender for of Troutkit, the silver tabby flicked the tip of her plume tail in a way she had seen other cats do so. Though, she would never admit that sort of thing as she wasn't a copy-kit. Those expressive blue pools of hers narrowed in on the entrance of the camp as her small paws silently padded forwards while attempting to think of a workable escape plan.
Which, she didnt get very far on either her walk or her planning.
It all happened so quickly, but before Stormkit knew what was going on she had been pinned to the ground by a silver paw, moments before her brother once again crashed into her. An irritated growl ripped through her chest as she flailed for a second, fluffy tail smacking into the ground. "Get off of me!" Seemed like she was saying that a lot to day.
Her namesake brewed within her gaze, temper rising fairly quickly as her lip drew back. Once she was able to, the fluffier of the two kittens quickly found her paws to stand. Silver fur was fluffed out in an attempt to make herself bigger, her leader's berating only increasing her anger at being treated like a kit, despite actually being one. Stormkit knew the rules, she wasn't dumb, her mother had told both of them several times not to wander out of camp.
But she didn't like to be told no.
Tail lashing behind her, Stormkit growled at Troutkit's blubbering reply, he probably wanted to run back to the safety of Willowbreeze too. She, however, wasn't going back to nursey without some sort of fight. Though she loved her mother, that didn't stop her from not caring too much about upsetting her. Though, should the queen get onto her for her behavior she would immediately reel it in. The young kit was stubborn and rebellious, even at three moons old. This wasn't her first time getting in trouble and it certainly wouldn't be the last.
"It's not like we were going to jump into the river!" Her retort was quick as she stared defiantly into the blue pools of Silverstar, standing her ground where her brother wouldn't. "We just wanted to take a look! I'm not that mouse-brained." Despite how she came into this world, born before a storm and drifted away in the flood, Stormkit had found she rather enjoyed the water. Rain was fun but she wanted to look at the stream, and she wanted to gaze at the even larger river.
It wasn't her fault the kits before her had gotten in trouble when they snuck out of camp.

Silverstar gave both his kits a haughty look, one that was cold and piercing. He always went cold when he got angry, and these two were already pushing the line. He wasn't so angry as to punish them, they were just kits after all, but he was going to have to teach them a lesson. "I'm sure the last few kits that snuck out thought the same thing, and they each had to be brought back. By some loner. After accidentally ending up in the river. Any kit that sneaks from camp is mouse-brained, and has the sheer stupidity to think they'd survive without any skills outside this camp." He took a breath, letting it out. "Now I am taking you back to your mother. You have no say in the matter." Yes he was a little harsh, but words were not punishment. For that he would apply his mother's favorite punishment from when he and his siblings were kits. He circled around and used his head to nudge the kits back towards the nursery, keeping his gaze on them while addressing the gathered cats. "Nothing more to see here, go back to your duties." 66 Moons. RainClan. Warrior. Despite it being her first and likely only litter, Willowbreeze remained content to allow her kits a bit more slack. She had full trust in her clanmates to keep them safe. Using these few minutes to get much needed sleep. Tending after such active kits wore her out.
Watching the duo disappear out of the nursery, she quickly closed her eyes. Allowing herself to slip into a short slumber, expecting their return before she was truly fully rested.
Instead of her kit's voices waking her, it was Silverstar's harsh tone that caught her attention. Quite attune to her dearest friend's voice, his words pulled her out of her sleep and captured her attention.
Peeking out of the nursey to see both Troutkit and Stormkit caught by their leader in a compromising position, Willowbreeze ready herself for their return.
A few wipes of her face rid her eyes of leftover sleep. Another good shake woke the rest of her body. Soft, motherly eyes settled on her two kits as they were nudged in her direction. She waited at the nursery entrance to greet them.
It didn't take long for her to put two and two together. Knowing Stormkit's headstrong nature and Troutkit's drive to be the very best made for difficult kits. Willowbreeze offered them a stern look, unimpressed by their antics.
"I take it you two are in trouble," She didn't bother to waste her narrowed gaze on Stormkit. Her daughter a unique entity when it came to discipline. Troutkit on the other paw, tucked in on himself with her stare. Twice he opened his mouth to stutter a reply but gave up before the third. His blue-green eyes staring hard at the ground. Perhaps willing himself to sprout wings and fly away.
"I feel they should be reprimanded. Perhaps they don't get to see the river tomorrow as planned. They will have to wait for another moon," Willowbreeze attention had shifted to Silverstar, searching his blue eyes for any sign he agreed or disagreed with her idea. Granted they were keeping the nature of his connection to the kits a secret, she still wanted his approval.

Seeing Willowbreeze in the nest of a queen made his heart do funny things. He was happy for her, and couldn't bring himself to tell her how terrified he'd been when he'd found the kits lost and alone only hours after being born. He'd been scared that she had died, swept away in the rush of the river because she'd been so weak after giving birth. It had eased his mind so much to find her alive and well when he finally caught up with the clan with the kits. That aside he nudged the two kits back towards their mother and headbutted her, purring loudly in greeting. "I already have their punishment in mind." He told her with a grin as he settled to lie down at one side of her. "Much worse than not seeing the river." He gave the two troublemakers a serious stare for a long moment before grabbing Stormkit and pinning her under a paw to start grooming her. Between grooms he gave a look to Troutkit too. ☁ StormkitI'm headed straight for the castle They wanna make me their queen
☁ — She was irritated at the fact the two of them had been caught by an older cat, and not just any swim of the stream Rainclan warrior, no. They had to be caught by Silverstar himself, the high and mighty leader of the clan that lived among the reeds. It couldn't have been like some young, dumb and impressionable apprentice she could have coerced into coming along with them or anything.
It just had to be Silverstar.
Her stormy blue pools blazed with her emotions, anger vivid and displeasure warped her pretty silver face as she was practically herded back to the Nursery where their mother wait with a familiar look upon her face: disappointment.
Granted, Stormkit was used to things like this happening. She was headstrong and stubborn in the worst of ways. Trouble practically followed her around like a shadow, a rebellious spirit in the form of a tiny kit that did what she wanted. Though, it was never her intention to worry or upset her mother, it didn't mean it would prevent her from pulling another stunt in the coming days.
While Troutkit stood there trying to practically fold in on himself, Stormkit stood there with her head held high, tail flickering with the faintest of attitude's behind her as those iconic blue pools brewed with her namesake as she held her mother's gaze without flinching.
A look of disbelief crossed the silver tabby's face at her mother's words, which echoed within her head, only fueling the fire bubbling within the kit's stomach. Stormy gaze blazing with anger as she ignored the urge to stomp a paw, though she couldn't help the way her feathery tail lashed behind her.
She hardly heard her leader's response before she was pinned underneath his paw once more, rough tongue grooming her fluffy coat as some sort of punishment. A hiss broke past her muzzle as she squirmed and wriggled in an attempt to free herself from his grasp, ears laid back against her head.
"Get off me! Quit grooming me!" Her tone rose as she grew more angry about the situation. She'd take not going to the river over this any day, her tail lashing back and forth as tiny claws scored at the ground, furious that she wasn't strong enough or big enough to get away from Silverstar.

Show me how to lie you're getting better all the time Briefly capturing Silverstar's gaze before watching the tom-cat begin to groom his sister, the tom-kit skirted his way toward his mother. She offered only a downward glance of discontentment. Unimpressed by his actions. Willowbreeze offered only a flat expression. "I'm sorry," He muttered, able to finally find his words. Willowbreeze sat up a bit more, her head bent forward to groom between his ears. "You have to understand how important it is you follow the rules. If anything happened to you or Stormkit I would cease to exist. Remember that,". Her words remained motherly and gentle, but the weight of them was enough to crush Troutkit. His eyes went wide, the thought of his mother ceasing to exist was enough to put his heart into a panic. Devoted as ever to Willowbreeze's happiness, Troutkit turned slightly ready to face his punishment. But not before turning back to reply. "I'm sorry mama," He repeated, his voice gentle with his sincerity. "It will be okay little fish, I'm not angry," She offered her reply in a weak attempt to soothe him. Knowing Silverstar's intentions, Willowbreeze waited patiently for the punishments to be dealt out. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRAPHY 2.0

Silverstar ignored the protests of the kit under his paw, grooming her and making sure he covered every inch of her tiny form. It helped chase the horrible memory of finding them cold and wet at the river's edge, mewling and alone with their ruined nest. When he felt he'd made her suffer long enough he picked her up by her middle and plopped her near her mother. "Until you are old enough this is where you belong. In the nursery, with your mother and brother. You may play just outside, provided one of the queens can see you, but no further." He pulled over Troutkit next, grooming the little tom between the ears as he seemed much more distressed over this entire thing than his stubborn sister. He was still very thorough over the younger cat's pelt, in the same way he maintained his own silvery pelt. "Do you know how much it would hurt your mother if one of you got hurt, or StarClan forbid if the river took you. Evacuating camp is still fresh for us adults, and I know you two were too young to remember." he flipped the tom over to get at his belly, speaking quietly between each gesture. "Willowbreeze waited so long for you both, as long as I've known her." Finished, he released the kitten and picked him up to plop him next to his sister. He had heard what she said to the kits and it squeezed at his heart. While he may not have been in love with Willowbreeze, he did love her. He knew this. "If something happened to either of you your mother would hurt, maybe even worry herself to death. And if she died I doubt I'd take it well." He headbutted Willowbreeze, a loud purr rumbling through is chest. "Even a dear friend can break a heart, and your mother is one of my dearest of friends." Maybe they didn't know he was their father, maybe nobody but he and Willowbreeze knew, but it didn't change the bond between them. The kits were her life, and she had helped him continue his alongside the other she-cat that meant the world to him. He couldn't bare to lose her.
