Name: Snowkit - Snowpaw - Snowbriar
Age: 6 moons
Gender: She-cat
Clan: TreeClan
Rank: Kit
Picture:
Description: As her name suggests, Snowkit bares a pelt of brilliant white, like freshly fallen snow on an early Leafbare morning. Although it is shorter like her father's, it has the characteristic softness of her mother's plush coat. With age, it will lose some of its kittish puffiness in favor of a sleek glossiness that will become one of the focal points of her vanity. She will enjoy the life of a kit, and will undoubtedly mar her shining white coat with dirt and grime, though that tendency too will ebb with age. She will come to keep her coat pristine, no doubt with aid from her near-identical brother, Birchkit. The only interruption on her otherwise perfect coat will be the patch of black-mixed fur between her delicately pointed white ears; a birthmark, of sorts, she shares with her twin.
Her eyes are a feature she borrows from both her parents; mismatched like her father's, yet varying in color. Whereas Skyfall's eyes are blue and dull green, Snowkit's right eye leans more toward the golden side, reminiscent of Appleshade's yellow gaze. Her left eye is a more intense version of her father's blue one, more closely related in color to her aunt Swandive's. Unsurprisingly, her brother bares an identical gaze to hers.
With age, their similarities will diverge slightly, minute differences in their features growing more pronounced with time. Upon close inspection, Snowkit's nose is a darker pink than Birchkit's. Additionally, at certain angles, Snowkit appears daintier and sleeker than Birchkit. This should become more apparent as he grows, seeing as he is a tom and she, a she-cat. She will be of average height, much like her mother, though without the long pelt to give her a bit more volume. Her stature will be noticeably smaller than her brother, should they be standing side by side. No matter the differences that appear, however, the resemblance between the two will remain uncanny, if not a little unsettling as the twins move through life.
Description Summary: A pure-white she-cat with mismatched gold and blue eyes,
Personality: Snowkit rarely lets things go without a fuss. Taking after her mother with her knack for dramatic flair, Snowkit is not one to keep quiet when there's something on her mind. One of her frequent pass times revolves ranting or complaining (but do not confuse this with whining, Snowkit does not whine) to those she is closest to. Her primary targets for vocalizing her upsets tend to be her mother, for she knows Appleshade will surely understand, and her two brothers. Asterkit seems to go along with anything she says, which suits her perfectly, whereas Birchkit is unlikely to ever not take her side. Unless it happens to be one of the extremely rare cases where she is being unreasonable. What an absolutely absurd thought.
Few cats are capable of getting her to see passed her current worries. She has a tendency to lose herself in what she perceives as misgivings or wrongdoings, plunging into fits of melodramatic behaviour. Even her parents struggle to snap her out of these, though there is one who alway seems capable. Acquiescent only to her twin Birchkit, Snowkit will accept just about anything he tells her, albeit with some reluctance. Whether you chalk it up to luck or the bond between twins, one thing is for certain: Birchkit is her rock, and Snowkit is always easier to handle when he is around.
Despite her extravagant antics, Snowkit genuinely means well. Though she can get caught up in herself, she isn't uncaring when it comes to others. She possesses a strong sense of family, accompanied by a streak of protectiveness. Putting aside the fact she would do anything for Birchkit, Snowkit also feels a strong connection to Asterkit. Although he demonstrates a strange aloofness in his kithood, his deafness unbeknownst to the Clan, Snowkit loves him fiercely and will not tolerate any transgressions toward him. This will increase twofold when she comes to understand the reason behind Asterkit's distant behavior. If her dear brother is incapable of hearing and thus speaking for himself, you can bet your whiskers that Snowkit will stand up in his stead.
All in all, she loves her family deeply. She sees her mother as absolutely perfect in every way, and has spent her fair share of time watching Appleshade and picking up little things. Although she respects Skyfall deeply, knowing that her father is a well thought-of senior warrior of TreeClan, Appleshade is her true role model. Snowkit hopes to be just like her mother one day; a handsome mate, stunning kits, with a loving brother at her side. Snowkit will have it better, though. She loves her uncle and all, but it is simply a fact that Birchkit is the perfect brother and therefore superior to Sprucefur.
If you were to ask her, she would tell you she is merely attentive to her outward appearance. Vain is such an ugly word, after all. But, spend a few minutes with her and you will quite easily determine that she is indeed quite vain. In fact, her vanity supersedes her, extending to her family too. From herself, to her parents, to her siblings, in Snowkit's mind, they are all exceptional in both appearance and ability. Above the rest, they can achieve anything. What more could you ask for upon seeing her family? Nothing, of course. They are the golden rule.
This thought process can mean, unfortunately, that she comes off as somewhat... Condescending. For she is, undoubtedly, on a pedestal. All others look up to her. She isn't being haughty or patronizing on purpose. Is that not simply how royalty treats the commoners? She loves most everyone, really. She simply loves her family more.
To round it all out a little, she takes after her father's intelligence and prides herself on perceived generosity. She is always willing to help in whatever manner she can, if only you are capable of putting up with her... Occasionally patronizing charity. She will put her mind to anything if approached for help, and her determination will seldom let her give up. Even it it means muddying her perfect coat. If she could help see the world thrive, she'd do anything to ensure it did. So long as she and her family thrived just a little more, of course.
History: Many wondered whether Skyfall or Appleshade would ever settle down. Skyfall's bad luck with she-cats had left him rather disinterested in the field of romance. And Appleshade found herself absolutely enamoured with a tom who wanted little to do with her. Eventually, the fates guided the two to one another, and two cats who'd seemed to have given up on the sentiments of true love found just that.
Born the lone she-kit in a litter of three between two brothers, Snowkit was the second of Appleshade’s kits to greet the world. They were three white bundles of fur, seemingly identical at first glance. But two shared closer an appearance than most would have guessed. Down to the singular dark spot between their ears, Snowkit and Birchkit seemed two sides of the same stone.
The opening of their eyes only further confirmed what most had predicted. Whereas Asterkit revealed two brilliant blue eyes, Birchkit and Snowkit would take after their father and one another. One golden, and one blue. The remarkable similarities between the two twins, though endearing in their early moons, will prove problematic and even burdensome to their parents and the Clan.
Skyfall and Swandive will seem nothing compared to the mischievous nature of these true twins.
Snowkit’s bond with Birchkit will only grow as they do, her world seemingly revolving around her twin for many moons. Of course, she will do everything in her power to ensure Asterkit understands he too is loved by her, for he is her brother just as much as Birchkit. But there will remain something unbreakable between she and her twin for the entirety of her kit-hood, and the vast majority of her apprenticeship.
Perhaps, in due time, something may occur to make it so she may notice someone outside her familiar circle. But until that day, she has Birchkit ever-present at her side; what more could she desire?
