Gender: She-cat
Clan: TreeClan
Rank: Warrior
---Past Ranks: Kit, Apprentice

Description
Summary: A deep red fluffy she-cat with a white muzzle, darker paws, and fierce amber eyes
As her name may suggest, Foxfire is both fiery and fox-like in appearance. Her soft and fluffy coat is a deep red color, slightly lighter and darker shades mixed in randomly to create that sort of fire effect when sunlight hits her fur. A somewhat larger she-cat, her legs are long beneath her and her overall body is relatively muscular and somewhat intimidating. Her tail is long and fluffy like that of a fox and often lashes quickly behind her, the tip of the tail tinted with lighter red fur. Her muzzle beneath her nose is covered in shorter white fur on her angled face and her "eyebrows" are shaped in a way that makes her almost always appear angry. Her nose is also a dark red and her eyes are a very sharp and piercing shade of amber-orange.
Personality
Foxfire is first and foremost a very cold-hearted cat. She shows no sympathy for anyone who is weak and unable to handle themselves. She is more of a strict cat who hates anyone who slacks off and doesn't pull their weight in the clan. It isn't uncommon for her to openly show irritability towards her own clanmates if they aren't being a proper Warrior or are goofing around.
But, while you might think that she would be hated by her clanmates because of her sharp tongue and attitude, many respect her because of her dedication to being a responsible Warrior who is willing to correct others. She is also seen as loyal to a fault, for she is always one of the first to volunteer for anything that helps the clan such as patrols and even battles if there happen to be any. She is a great example, work-wise, of what a faithful Warrior should be.
But one thing that hardly anyone knows is that she is also a master of deceit. Everything that she does, whether it be battling for the clan or patrolling multiple times in one day, is for a reason much more sinister than loyalty. Foxfire desires power and control. She sees any and all faults that the clan has and wants to change them "for the better", but also for herself. She knows that when a Warrior is well-known and respected within the clan and trusted by the higher-ups, you have a higher chance of becoming Deputy and some day Leader. This is what she wants. She wants to take Treeclan for herself and become the reason why her clan becomes so powerful. In her mind, the best thing that could ever possibly happen for her clan is the other clans bowing down to Treeclan and seeing them as the strongest with her as it's Leader.

Before Foxfire's past can truly be described, it is her father who has to be talked about first, for he is the reason she is the way she is.
Scorchkit was born in Treeclan to two pretty much forgotten parents with his brother Redkit. The two of them were the only ones in their litter, so you would assume that they were both spoiled little brothers. But the truth is anything but that. When they were little, Scorch always liked playing tricks on other cats, like putting bugs in the nests of Elders, stealing herbs from the Medicine Cat den and hiding them just outside, stuff like that. He always thought that this was just fun and innocent, but his parents didn't agree. He was constantly getting yelled at, even if he hadn't been the one to do whatever it was. Yet Red was always standing up for him. You would think that Scorch would be appreciative of his brother helping him, but that is wrong as well. Any time Scorch tried to get attention or any sort of sympathy and forgiveness from his parents he would be denied, yet Red didn't even have to move a paw to get their affection.
Jealousy clouded his eyes all through his kithood, as well as most of his Apprenticeship. Luckily, he met someone who helped him. A young she-cat named Rowanpaw. She was a very kind and gentle cat who enjoyed helping others. She had lost a majority of her family at a young age, so she was always looking for friends. Scorch was a troublemaker and was looked down on by a lot of his clanmates, yet Rowanpaw saw him as an equal and saw the potential in him. They became best friends quickly. Soon, Scorch almost forgot completely about his brother and parents when she was around. The two had clearly fallen for each other, so it was no surprise when the two became mates less than a moon after they became Warriors. The two of them were always together, so it was no shock when she announced that she was having kits. When the kits were born, Scorch almost hoped that his family wouldn't show up, yet they did. His parents walked right passed him and went straight to his mate, congratulating her. Redwing approached him to say congrats, but those words didn't mean much coming from his brother.
Even though they had went to visit Rowan and say congrats to her when the kits were born, his parents were obviously hesitant to be around the family. Once or twice he heard his mother saying to her friends that she was happy to be a grandmother, but she "knew" that those kits would probably just as bad as Scorch was since he was their father. This only made his hatred grow even further. His son, Squirrelkit was very playful and absent-minded, but his daughter Foxkit was sharp and attentive. Knowing this, Scorch began to try and bond closely with his daughter. She would often ask him why their clanmates didn't like him and he would tell her things along the lines of "they think I am a burden to this clan" and "they are all weak-minded and don't know anything about me", influencing the way that she saw her clanmates from a young age.
Not too long after Squirrel and Fox became Apprentices, Scorchclaw was out in the territory, wanting to hunt in peace. But Redwing had followed him, asking him why he was so resentful of their parents and trying to figure out if he could help Scorch. Finally, Scorch snapped at him. At that moment, a badger that neither of the toms had sensed appeared and attacked Scorch. Redwing, who had been a short distance away, ran to help his brother, but the badger had its sights set on Scorch. Redwing kept getting thrown off, but when the badger went to deliver the killing blow on Scorch, Redwing jumped in front of him. Right then an official patrol arrived, all attacking the badger. Scorch, having watched his brother jump in front of him and tumble limp to the ground, almost felt sadness. He had to admit it. His brother had just saved his life. This jealous-filled tom who had hated his family ever since he was a kit almost began to mourn the loss of his brother. But he also watched as the patrol went to Redwing, checking if he was alive and mourning him right there. It was obvious that Redwing was dead. It was also obvious that Scorch was seriously injured and needed help. Yet those fools went over to a corpse to check and see if it was dead before they even paid attention to him. The only one to help him was Rowanflower. Almost the whole patrol helped to drag Redwing's body back to camp while only Rowanflower and one other Warrior who had no choice helped get him back. He was treated by the Medicine Cat, but his front left leg and his back left leg were both torn horribly. He was told that he was pretty much crippled on one side and wouldn't be able to fight or really hunt any longer. This made him furious, but he did have one object of hope. Foxpaw.
Even though she had a mentor that wasn't him, Scorchclaw would often take Foxpaw out himself and would teach her things that her mentor wasn't. He taught her that in this clan, many cats aren't taught to be proper Warriors, nor do many of them have the guts it takes to lead the clan when the Leader eventually is replaced. He pretty much engraved it in her head that none of her clanmates have what it takes to lead a clan and that a Leader is a cat who isn't afraid to fight for their clan, even if it means the other clans get hurt. He was no longer able to take any sort of power, nor would he have been able to anyway, but he had Foxpaw, and she had a lot of potential.
Not too long after the battle with the Badger, Silverflower, Redwing's mate, had his kits. As he expected, his parents went to visit that family often and thought highly of those kits. His hatred for his parents was something that Rowanflower was always aware of, but she was still a very kind cat, so she didn't understand. He had lost his own brother who sacrificed himself to save Scorch and they lost a son. Shouldn't that have brought them closer? She found out that his parents actually did try to reconnect with him right after Redwing's death, but he turned away. Hearing this, Rowan began to question her mate. She also found out that he had been giving private "lessons" to their daughter, teaching her things that no cat should think of their clan. Learning this, Rowanflower decided to leave Scorchclaw, letting Lionstar know that they were no longer mates. She also stated that she didn't want her kits going anywhere near him. She began to spend more time with Silverflower and her kits.
Now we reach Fox's point of view. Fox had always felt bad for her father. Their clanmates never understood him and turned against him just for having fun. Knowing this, she told herself never to slack off or fall behind on her training. Then, when he taught her that none of their clanmates could handle the power of being Leader and that she was their only hope, she felt determined. Over time, Foxpaw's main goal was to grow to be a Leader. But her father's hateful personality began to spread to her. She started to develop that same dislike for her clanmates, especially if they were weak or didn't do their duties properly. When her mother started trying to keep her and her brother away from their dad, Foxpaw was mad, but she didn't show it. She wanted to learn more from her father, but she knew she would have to be secretive and sneaky if she did. So she began to visit her father during the night, continuing to learn things from him.
Finally, Foxpaw was promoted to a Warrior under the name Foxfire. After learning from her father, she knew what to do. Gain the trust of her clanmates, train any Apprentices she could, become Deputy, and then take the clan. She would make Treeclan the most powerful clan in the valley. Since the day that her name was bestowed upon her so many moons ago, Foxfire has trained two Apprentices: a very calm and collected she-cat by the name of Dawnpaw, who is now named Dawnpool, and most recently an excitable and jumpy tom named Frogpaw, now named Frogleap.
