Tribe of Forgotten Waters Tribe Description Territory During Green-leaf, Year Four, what remained of the Tribe of Rushing Water (led by Featherstep of NightClan), arrived in the Valley. They made their home in what was once called the Oasis, and were renamed the Tribe of Forgotten Waters. Though their numbers are small, their spirits are large, and with continued efforts, the Tribe will see to it that their ways endure this new home.
With few serious enemies apart from predators, the Tribe is not particularly battle-oriented. Their talents lie in their unique methods of hunting and camouflage. They are excellent trackers, sure-footed and lean. They find the ways of the Clans to be strange, though a few curious souls have been known to wander near the borders to see what their neighbors are up to.
But for the most part, they keep to themselves, happiest high up where they have the best views of the entire valley. Given their similar territories and hunting preferences, the Tribe has a friendly relationship with StoneClan. Dangers +Eagles. Among other predatory birds, eagles are by far the largest and the fiercest. They are capable of carrying off kits, to-bes, and even a small fully grown cat. +Mudslides. Too much rainfall can make the slopes treacherous for the Tribe cats. +Cliffs. Be mindful of your footing, especially in times of high winds. +Demon. The monster cat poses a danger to all creatures in the valley. Sightings are rare, though he may decide a cat on their own is an easier target for prey, but never attacks cats in groups.
Prey + Mice + Small birds (thrushes, robins, sparrows, finches, etc) + Rabbits + Raptors (eagles, hawks, falcons, etc) + Squirrels (RARE) + Voles (RARE)
Tribe Hierarchy (Teller of the Mountain Sky) Skyteller. The Tribe’s healer and leader. They perform To-be ceremonies and interpret the signs in the water. They do not have nine lives. When given the new rank they will give up their old name and take on the name of Skyteller. They spend a large portion of their day watching the pools of water for signs for The Tribe of Endless Hunting. They are allowed to have mate and kits if they receive a sign from The Tribe of Endless Hunting. Skyteller To-be. The tribe's future healer and leader. They are chosen later in the current Skyteller's life and are taught how to read the signs from The Tribe of Endless Hunting and learn how to heal the Tribe. They keep their name until the current Skyteller passes away. Lead Prey-Hunter. The Tribe chooses a prey-hunter to lead and plan hunts. They are well respected and often council with Skyteller on a decision for the Tribe. They are the lead prey-hunter until their retirement or death. Lead Cave-Guard. The Tribe chooses a cave-guard to keep track of the safety of the Tribe. They bring up any safety concerns to the Skyteller and often are proactive about the security of the tribe. They can also have a bigger pull on if/when outsiders join the Tribe. They are the lead cave-guard until their retirement or death. Prey-Hunter. The smallest, quickest, and lightest cats of the Tribe. Their role is exclusively to hunt for their Tribemates. Prey-hunters do not fight. Cave-Guard. The strongest and toughest cats of the Tribe. As their name implies, they protect the Tribe’s home and often accompany prey-hunters to help keep watch over their Tribemates. To-Be. The equivalent of an apprentice, a kit becomes a to-be at the age of nine moons. After they have learned how to be either a prey-hunter or a cave-guard, the Skyteller will then assign them a permanent role. When it is time for the Skyteller to pick his/her own to-be, they will receive a sign from the Tribe of Endless Hunting. Kit-Mother. A pregnant or nursing cave-guard or prey-hunter who cannot continue their duties. They take care of their kits until they are old enough to become to-bes, and then usually return to their duties. Kit The youngest members of the Tribe, kits are too young to perform to-be duties and will stay with their mothers until they are nine moons. Whether or not they will become a prey-hunter or a cave-guard is determined by the Skyteller. Elder. The oldest members of the Tribe, these are senior most cats who have served their Tribe all their lives. Cats may also become elders due to injuries that prevent them from fulfilling their roles. They are often consulted in times of stress and are taken care of by to-bes. Ceremonies When a lead prey-hunter or cave-guard retires or dies and after the Tribe has mourned the loss, everyone comes together with Skyteller in the middle. Fully trained members of the Tribe will be the only ones permitted to vote using stones collected around the cave. Those who believe they would do well in the position of lead will step forward and sit beside Skyteller in front of the Tribe. One by one members will step forward and give their stones to whichever cat they believe will do best. The winner will be chosen by whoever has the most stones. In the event of a tie, Skyteller will cast their stone to determine the winner. The Tribe’s to-be requirements are as follows: two training threads minimum, and at least one season change. They are assessed when their guide believes they’re ready, and put in charge of a patrol: leading the hunt or ensuring the safety of the prey-hunters, and their actions on this patrol will be the deciding factor on if they are believed to be ready to take their place as full hunters or guards. Tribe to-bes are not trained solely by any cat; the one Skyteller chooses is the one to oversee the to-be’s training, and it is they who decide if their to-be is ready to take full rank, but all the cave-guards or prey-hunters work together to give the young cat instruction. Teamwork is vital, and by being in sync, it forms a tighter bond between the hunters or guards. Tribe Life + Tight-knit community, self-reliant on each group to protect and hunt. + LGBTQA+ cats are often frowned upon, especially now. The Tribe values male/female relationships above all, since they are the only kind that result in kits. With the recent cave-in, the need for more cats is stronger than ever. Those who harbor affections for same-sex cats are not ousted from the Tribe, but they are strongly encouraged to put those feelings aside, for the good of the Tribe. + Polygamy is common; there are those who form solid relationships with one individual, but it’s not often the norm. + The Tribe are a peaceful group. Their long-standing preference for goodwill is obvious; in their minds, cats are friends, so there is no point in fighting them. Their battle tactics are honed to deal with other threats, and they have little experience in fighting their own kind- they simply have never known cats to be enemies.

Tribe of Forgotten Waters Time of Frozen Water 2019 Update General Announcements +There was not much excitement among the Tribe during the last season. RainClan has returned home, and the Tribe has settled into their usual cold-season routine.
+Skyteller has decided that they will not be attending the Gathering this season. Too many dangers and uncertain weather make it too risky for any cat. Moonfeather has returned to TreeClan, and so their obligations are only to themselves. Clan Territory and Security The Tribe has no territory, and so they don’t patrol. The strongest defense against intruders will be at the mouth of the cave, and the cave-guards have their nests to one side of the opening so they can quickly mass a defense without having to stumble between any other cats.
All hunting parties are to have at least two cave-guards with them, no less. If the group is larger, more cave-guards will be added as necessary. Prey-hunters will rarely, if ever, leave the cave without guards, but some of the Clan-born hunters, who have past experience with fighting, may not always heed this- even though they are encouraged to.
Patrol Information: N/A Camp Safety: There is a cave-guard posted at the entrance at all times of the day or night. They are relieved three times during the day or night, but the cave is never left unguarded. The prey-hunters, queens and elders all have their nests further back, to protect the young, old, and inexperienced in battle. Notes: Anything else. Current Diplomacy TreeClan: Friendly terms. They seem welcoming and open, and the Tribe has forged an alliance with them.
NightClan: Neutral. With the alliance agreed to Skyteller is more than willing to view them as friends- but the obvious strife between NightClan and TreeClan makes him wary of the reason behind their agreement.
RainClan: Neutral. With Silverstar's agreement, though with little interaction besides, Skyteller is willing to treat them with the same respect as StoneClan or TreeClan.
StoneClan: Friendly terms. An alliance has been made and the Tribe is closer to this Clan than the rest, given the similarities in their homes.
LightningClan: Tentative peace, given the relation shared between Tribe and Clan. They have accepted the alliance.
Outsiders: The Tribe is exceptionally welcome to outsiders, so long as they don’t initiate aggression, and more than one has been welcomed into their ranks.
In-Character Events IC Date: Event summary. Thread link, if applicable. Impact of event on future RP
