[PTab=APPEARANCE]
Tall and handsome tom-cat with silky gray fur and golden eyes
Height: 16"

Fur Color: Ashen gray with flecks of lighter and darker gray
Fur Patterns: Technically his fur is solid-colored, but there are some areas where darker and lighter shades come through more and appear like markings. Eye Color: Golden-amber
Nose Color: Black
Scars: He does have scars, but they are hidden beneath his pelt, save for a nick in his left ear
Distinct Features: Height, handsome facial features, long tail, mysterious eyes
Strengths: Speed, balance, stamina
Weaknesses: Swimming, face-to-face combat, warm weather/direct sunlight
A rather eye-catching feline, Apollo is a very tall tom, far taller than the average cat, with a very silky and long pelt covering a lithe yet strong body. His height is one of the first things that most notice about him, as he is far more leg than he is body, making him naturally built for speed and agility. His tail flows long behind him, a provider of better balance, and his shoulders are strong from leaping and climbing mountains for a portion of his life. His ears are large on his head, allowing him to hear better, and his posture is a practiced casual yet poised strut to show off his physique.
His pelt is a large mixture of lengths, though all of it regardless of where is silky and soft to the touch, often groomed in a neat-spiky fashion. His fur is shorter on his front legs and face, but it grows longer outwards from his cheeks, stomach, chest, back legs, and his tail. His fur has a natural ruffled look to it, but it isn't quite messy; he thinks that it is pleasing to the eye. While his coat is nearly pure ashen gray, similar to a dark cloud looming overhead before a storm, it does have varying shades of gray on certain areas that make his pelt look more unique than just a solid color. For instance, his legs and cheeks are slightly lighter than the rest of his body, and his muzzle is even lighter. But, on the contrast, the darkest area of his coat is found on top, where a darker gray stripe begins on his forhead and travels down his spine to his tail, his tail a touch darker than the rest of him as well.
Topping off this handsome fellow is some rather long white whiskers that flow out from his muzzle, a small black nose, and a set of sharp, yet also soothing golden-amber eyes.

[PTab=PERSONALITY]
Of all things that he could be or ways that he could describe himself, Apollo is a very charismatic tom with a knack for communication with others and a smooth tongue. Never one to show verbal hostility towards another, he is always pleased to engage in welcoming and pleasant conversation with anyone he meets, and will treat all with the same kindness, even if the attitude of those he is talking with turn sour towards him. He has his own sense of humor that he will sometimes shift just slightly to match the general feel that he gets from someone else. In nearly all that he does, he presents himself as a gentleman, always beginning every interaction he has with the utmost respect, regardless of age, gender, rank, or any other factors. In human terms, he could be described, at the start, as a butler almost; the sort of cat who will always bow and start or end every sentence with sir or madame or m'lady. He will always give direct eye contact as a sign of respect and will usually try to keep his body still, allowing all of the focus to merely be on the conversation at hand.
Though, once a conversation has gone on for a period of time or the subject gets stale quickly, that gentlemanly act slowly shifts into more of a flirtatious allure. Compliments, flattery, words of concern or praise, he will give it all, and he will give it to anybody he takes an interest in, whether she-cats, toms, single, taken, or anywhere in between any of those categories. He has a very suave way with words and has had much practice in the ways of sounding genuine nearly every time, always giving the impression that he is legitimately interested and invested in whoever it is his affections are aimed towards. But don't misunderstand; just because he becomes flirtatious does not mean that he suddenly drops his role of a gentleman. Yes, he may pad forward and "accidentally" brush pelts with someone, or perhaps move closer to someone's ear than normal, or casually wrap his tail around another. But, if the other cat becomes visibly or verbally uncomfortable with the situation, or they grow hostile, he will step back and give space. He knows better than to keep going once a line has begun to be crossed, as that will usually drive the other cat away, which is the opposite of what he wants.
If the impression has not been given already, another trait that comes naturally to Apollo is a very casual confidence. The sort where he won't necessarily brag about himself or seek out compliments, nor is he outwardly cocky. He knows that he is a handsome cat with attractive features, he knows that he is charismatic and that he has a smooth voice, and he knows that his actions are all done with purpose. But you will not catch him verbally calling himself attractive or going on and on about how much others like him.
Though...he may not say anything about his own appearance or his own charisma, buuuuut.....it is very rare for him to not talk about different choices he has made and why he made them, as he sees them as being the best choice to make. While he most definitely does not show it at first, something that some could probably get out of him relatively quickly is that Apollo is a bit of an...anarchist. Based primarily around different influences in his younger moons, this charming tomcat has developed a deep hatred for any form of rules or laws or limitations in life. Codes that you have to abide by on a daily basis, limits on what you can and can't do when you catch food, rules against loving someone, or even laws preventing you from killing anyone.....what is the point of any of it? What gain do you get from spending your life following rules and constantly under the watch of those who think themselves higher than you? Life is about freedom, about choice, about experiences. If you can't live your life the way that you want to, with no rules or laws holding you back, are you really living? It is these views, and even more kithood influences, that have led him to hold a disdain towards clans, or any form of group really (he has never encountered a tribe before, but if he did, he would hate them too). While he isn't the power-hungry sort to seek to get in there and try to destroy the clans altogether, he does enjoy the pride that fills his chest when he can convince and influence someone to do something. So, rather than fight against the clans, he will merely try to convince those of groups held in by limitations to let themselves go, to let go of rules and codes, to live their lives. And, if they are so willing, he will be by their side to help them.
As you can probably tell from that overall description, Apollo does tend to be someone who cares more about himself than he does others, rather selfish in his views and ideals. Afterall, he was once constrained by rules, but he made his own decision and he chose to get out of that scenario, to let himself be free, to let himself do whatever the hell he wants whenever the hell he wants to. As he is a loner, and is someone who would never join a group, his focus has always and will always be on himself in the end. And if that means that he hurts and loses others along the way, then so be it. In that sense, he is rather deceitful in any and all relationships or acquaintances he makes. He will use that charming voice and that kind tone to make anyone believe that they are friends, that he cares for them, that they can trust him, that he would never turn his back on them. But, if the situation resulted in him gaining nothing from said relationships, or he felt that his work was finished, or he just didn't feel any form of connection, he would drop them. While he does feel connections with others and is not completely devoid of emotion or empathy, his selfish nature has nearly always won over. Perhaps one day that could change, perhaps not.
A branch-off result of his own selfishness and deceit, it may be obvious, but Apollo has commitment issues. It is very rare for him to meet someone, form a connection with them, and stick with them for a long period of time, especially when it comes to romantic relationships. Where many cats dream of meeting their dream mate, getting together, showering each other with love and affection, having a family, and dying with that same mate of old age, that....is not what Apollo dreams of. With his love for self-freedom, Apollo is the sort who would never really take a "mate", per say. He would never choose a singular cat to settle down and start a life with. Buuut....he would most definitely take concubines, if you would call them that. He will not be your mate, he will not dedicate his life to you, he will not specifically want to start a family with you. He is willing to take on, and actually wants to take on, as many partners as pleases. And this is not necessarily limited to just she-cat's, though he does tend to lean more towards females than he does males. Typically, if he does feel a connection with you and chooses to seek you out, the relationship will likely be one of half and half conversation and physicality. Though, it isn't too often that he will actually tell you that he seeks the company of many more than just you. He will tell you that he has no desire to be mates, or that he sees you as more of a partner than a full mate, but he won't tell you about the others that he tells the exact same thing to. Some might think that he could potentially make a good dad, some might not. But one thing is for sure: if things were to go his way, not only would he have a big list of partners he could choose between at will, but he would also have lots and lots of kids he could pass on his ideals and views of the world to.
Strengths: Communication, charisma, respect, convincing, confidence, self-indulgence
Weaknesses: Rebellious to the max, figures of "authority", full commitment, empathy, care for others
Likes: Freedom, rock climbing, being successful at anything, meeting others with his same or similar views, pretty scenery, gaining new partners
Dislikes: Failure, hostility, water, outward cockiness, authority, rules, being restricted or held down
Quirks: His tail will often move when his personality and/or goal in a situation begins to take a turn in a different direction
Goals: Live life to the fullest, convince others to do the same, have lots of partners and kids
Fears: Having his freedom physically taken away from him

Ravenpaw (Adoptive Cousin)
Of Love and Betrayal // The creation of Apollo's life was never one full of love or trust. No, the coming together of Vulture and Selene was doomed from the beginning. Where Selene had been of the hope to find a mate and start a family, Vulture did want the same thing, but without the limitation of only one mate. Selene didn't know that, but maybe neither of their intentions with each other had ever been clear from the start.
They had not been together for long, but the time that they did spend together was full of affection and comfort. Granted, there were long periods of time when they were not together, as Vulture would go on "hunting trips", but there was never an absence of intimacy when he would get back. It wasn't until he returned from one of his hunting trips, having given Selene plenty of time to really reminisce on their relationship, when she realized that they barely knew anything about each other. She struck up the conversation of his backstory, but things went south in an instant. Selene had been raised by cats who had far too much experience in the past with the likes of clan cats, and she had been raised to view clan cats as awful and horrid beings who were selfish, careless, weak, and chalked their actions up to some kind of mythical beings in the sky. They always found some way to justify their way of life, but to her, all of it was nothing but excuses to be self-important.
So when Vulture told her that not only was he once a clan cat, but he was also someone who was in the process of building multiple families of his own that he could truly connect with, she lost it. Not only had he never bothered to mention that he was a clan cat, but this was also the first time that she was learning of some other she-cat that he had been spending all of his time with on these "hunting trips", plus other she-cats that he was probably seeing but didn't care to mention. It wasn't until after she had attacked him and demanded he disappear from her life that she made the discovery that she was expecting.
Birth of a Blessing, or a Curse // Born in the beginning of a cold Winter, two kits were brought into Selene's life. One a very handsome little tom and the other a beautiful little she-cat, she chose to name them Apollo and Arula. Though Selene loved her two new children dearly, she feared for their lives, as prey was hard to come by in Winter. She left them very rarely, spending as much time as she could curled around them and keeping them warm. She was beyond thankful when Spring arrived and both of her youngsters were still alive. But they were finally old enough to walk, talk, and learn about the world.
In the beginning, Apollo and his sister were obedient little kits, a strange occurrence that confused even Selene. They both did as they were told and spent most of their time listening to their mother's lessons and stories. But she had been lulled into a false sense of security. While her lessons and rules had worked for a little while, Apollo grew restless and tired of constantly staying in the same areas, always doing the same things all the time, and constantly having even more rules piled on as he and his sister grew older. While Selene was always a very affectionate mother, she was paranoid, stubborn, and unwavering in her ways. She had her beliefs and she stuck to them, and unfortunately over time Apollo grew to go more and more against those beliefs.
While he was rebellious, rebellion and restlessness never did take away from his interest in learning from his mother. So when she would give them lessons that were actually interesting, he would sit and listen. And one lesson that he took to heart was about clan cats. She had explained to them what clans were, she described what the cats of them were like in her own eyes and from things she had been told, and she told them of their father. While Apollo did agree wholeheartedly that clans and clan cats sounded awful and pathetic, he got caught on the idea of his father. The way that Selene had described him had been meant to sound negative, to sound selfish, but in Apollo's eyes, a young cat who was slowly growing to ignore rules and limitations, the life his father had been living sounded...fun. He never let anyone limit what he could or could not do, he followed his own rules and forged his own path, and, a big bonus point in dad's direction, Vulture had been born a clan cat and chose to leave them. He had left whatever family he presumably had in the clans and sought to make his own way in life, separate from rules or laws or restrictions. He never said it out loud, but Apollo always looked up to his father, despite never having met him before.
Find What You are Good at, and Perfect it // Apollo had spent quite a lot of time with his mother and sister, despite not always getting along with them. Even as he was growing into an adult, Selene still had a tendency to view himself and Arula as children, always trying to make them follow her rules and do as she said. It was during these times that Apollo had begun to develop a rather smooth tongue, using charisma and charm to win over Selene any time she grew angry with him over ignoring her rules. But, when flattery and a sweet voice didn't win her over, he had learned that he was a rather natural liar. He would always plan ahead, crafting a lie to tell before he had even done anything. This made doing things he "wasn't supposed to" much easier, as he could then just find ways to make the lie more believable while he was out.
In all that he had done and planned, Selene had been far easier to fool than Arula, who had grown into an intelligent cat far more than even he could see. She saw right through his lies, and though she had confronted him many times and tried to encourage him to rethink his actions, he never listened. He half expected his sister to rat him out to their mother any time she would catch him, but much to his surprise, she never did. They may have had differing opinions, but no one could ever say that Apollo and Arula didn't have a bond.
My Path is my Own to Forge // Apollo's departure had been one that came on rather suddenly, bringing a shock to both Selene and Arula. He had spent quite a lot of time thinking, and it all led up to him finally making the decision to part from his family and go off on his own. While Selene continuously tried to convince him to stay, Arula on the other hand said nothing. Where Selene still viewed Apollo as her dear young son, Arula knew that her brother did not belong. He was growing into her own, and while she too was sad to see him go, she knew it was for the best.
From the moment that the sight of his mother and sister disappeared behind him, Apollo knew that he had one belief in mind that he would never stray from: he would live his life as he wanted to live it. But, in his eyes, while that was a virtue that he fully believed in and would never stray from, it was too broad of a "goal". As the conniving planner that he was, he rather quickly established a plan for himself that was more specific than that: he would get others to do exactly as he (and his father) had. He would get others to realize the freedom that they had, the freedom of will and choice with no rules or limits to hold them back. But how would he do this? Well...he had already learned how to be a smooth talker, and he was a rather talented liar. He knew that he could accomplish whatever he put his mind to if he put enough thought and effort into it.
But, as he made his way through the land and found himself peering over a cliff into a large and vast valley, he knew that there was something else that he was to do. He could almost sense that there was something here, calling to him, telling him that this was where he would live fullest. And, sure enough, within a day or two he quickly came across a particular scent: other cats. Not just one, multiple. And while there were different individuals, they all had a similar undertone. He crossed an unknown barrier once, curious as to what he would find. And, just as he had begun to suspect, he was found by a patrol of cats who claimed to be called "Gorgeclan". It took a little bit of "clueless and curious" questioning, but he learned that there were, in fact, three clans of cats in this valley. He left their territory peacefully, but as he settled into a small cave in the mountains, he knew that having entered a valley full of clans by pure chance, he had work to do here. The plan he had formed for himself, he had never specified that he would convince clan cats to abandon their pitiful and restricted lives, but knowing that there were three clans here in this valley, he decided to add that to his description. Loners and rogues, they already lived a life of freedom. But clan cats?

+ Flirtacious + Gentlemanly + Confident + Charismatic | - Anarchist - Selfish - Deceitful - Noncommital |
