Scorchrunner is a solid, jet-black tomcat with sleek pelage. The warrior's fur is remarkably short, delicate, and velutinous to the touch. The bachelor has a long, triangular-shaped face, constructing a memorable and attractive dynamic. His extremely ebony pelage is scarcely visible at night, making him a great night hunter and attacker. Between surroundings and looking out for untrustworthy felines, he comprehended there were things in life that must be avoided, no matter the circumstances. When situations don't go as he'd intended, he's instantaneous to accommodate reliably. He pursues his disciplined behavior alongside his acclimated intuition, closely monitoring and contemplating his decisions. Scorchrunner can control himself sufficiently in the most petrifying or hazardous situations, not permitting himself to crumble beneath the wrath of what StarClan's placed before him. The ex-warrior is exceptionally self-reliant, predominantly relying solely on himself for anything that must be done, as he believes there's no one he can trust other than himself to finish things efficiently. ◉ BIRTH

Scorchkit was born to Finchblossom and Ebonyflight of GaleClan, alongside his brothers, Longkit and Bearkit. The tomcat was blessed with affectionate, dedicated parents who treasured their children equally. The three siblings had constantly fought for their mother's milk, making a boisterous bunch compared to the other kits in the nursery at the time. Finchblossom couldn't help but chuckle at each of her sons and their distinct personalities. There was no doubt that each of the kits was different, specifically Scorchkit, who'd been a bundle of joy since the moment he'd opened his eyes.

◉ KITHOOD

The three kits got along very well when they reached three moons, constantly playing and conversing with one another. Strangely, at the time, the other kits had been born a few moons before them, leaving Scorchkit, Longkit, and Bearkit to be the only ones in the nursery. It was very challenging for the three kits to listen to their mother and remain inside the Medicine Cat's den. Occasionally, when their father would visit the shelter, Ebonyflight would offer to watch the kits, allowing Finchblossom to stretch her legs. Ebonyflight would sit outside the den with his children, watching as they played, and finally dispersed a bit to converse with the young felines who recently left the nursery for their apprenticeship. Scorchkit had been about five moons by this time and met a she-cat named Honeypaw. She was very generous and open with Scorchkit, while some other apprentices found him obnoxious. Despite her more reserved disposition, she cherished her new friend, Scorchkit, suppressing their dissimilarities. Honeypaw would tell stories about her apprenticeship, keeping Scorchkit updated until his sixth moon.

◉ APPRENTICESHIP

Scorchkit was finally an apprentice, joyous to hear their ceremony announced by the leader, Owlstar. From there on out, Scorchkit, Longkit, and Bearkit were known as Scorchpaw., Longpaw, and Bearpaw. The three siblings cast cheeky smiles at one another, though distracted when Honeypaw had waved him over after the ceremony. Honeypaw congratulated Scorchpaw, discovering sheepishness around the opposing apprentice. She was such a kind friend to him, glad that she chose to hang around him, despite the other apprentice's opinions of him. Scorchpaw was relatively small while young anointed as scrawny and crowfood to other apprentices for his lengthy physique. However, it was mostly the breed he'd been, though his brothers possessed more muscle structure, so perhaps it made sense why others called him names. The bachelor discovered Honeypaw constantly sticking up for him behind his back when individuals would run their mouths. Of course, Honeypaw never said anything negative; she just assumed that if she stuck up for him in front of Scorchpaw, he'd be made fun of for allowing a she-cat to do such. It was unfortunate that Scorchpaw was bullied during his early apprenticeship.

Owlstar assigned Pecanstorm as Scorchpaw's apprentice. He was an insightful warrior who appeared unpredictable, hence his name. Scorchpaw was apprehensive from the beginning and had every right to be. This was just the commencement of Scorchpaw's upbringing alongside his mentor, Pecanstorm. Scorchpaw and the warrior greeted, a smug grimace plastered amongst Pecanstorm's countenance. The tom felt distressed concerning his mentor, but only time would reveal. The next day after his ceremony, Pecanstorm had stopped him during the early daybreak when he'd been conversing with his brother, Bearfang. Pecanstorm explained that he'd prefer they started training as soon as possible, hinting that he desired to initiate the sessions now. Bearfang was taken aback, astonishment crossing his countenance upon the tom's brusque interruption. Bewildered, Scorchpaw immediately rose to his appendages and followed his mentor to the Clan's territory. There were barely words articulated between the two toms, rendering Scorchpaw to fall behind slightly, heart pulsating out of his chest. Pecanstorm explained to Scorchpaw that he must perfect every session before proceeding to the following dexterity. His mentor expected the apprentice's endeavors to be immaculate and no less. His first session was hunting; unfortunately, he failed miserably without a detailed exposition or demonstration. Why? Pecanstorm hardly showed him what to do, which was distasteful. He felt embarrassed.

Scorchpaw's next hunting session was only a few hours later, during the evening as sundown arrived. This time, Pecanstorm was willing enough to show his apprentice. Scorchpaw was unsure if his mentor was satisfied with him as an apprentice, persistent anxiety troubling the youthful feline. Scorchpaw worked hard that night to complete the assignment Pecanstorm was examining for. Of course, there were other skills to learn regarding hunting, so it wasn't over. Hunting pressed on for about two more moons before Scorchpaw acquired enough skill to Pecanstorm's regards. Although Scorchpaw wasn't the most excellent hunter, he had other areas where he'd discovered excelled. The bachelor's mentor focused on his agility next, meaning he'd learn to climb, leap, and maintain and obtain stamina. It didn't take long for the apprentice to catch onto these skills, nearly perfecting them, which surprisingly made Pecanstorm proud. Of course,

Pecanstorm wasn't flawless either, but he appeared to assume so. Pecanstorm pondered and spoke, "You know, Scorchpaw, you could get away with murder, the way you move." Those words confused the tom, and all he could think was, what did he say? Scorchpaw began oppugning his mentor's insanity, though he resumed with sessions, beseeching to StarClan that he was jesting. Although, he seemed rather serious. Pecanstorm focused on the mastery of agility for about three moons, orienting his apprentice with abundant information. Once he had subjugated agility, Scorchpaw insisted that he'd retain the craftworks of combat, washing a wave of relief over Pecanstorm. The mentor's ability in a quarrel represented the warrior's reputation. He was passionate and belligerent in war. Scorchpaw's mentor claimed that he would spar with another apprentice, and apparently, it was his brother, Longpaw. He was concerned that this could impair their bond, as Longpaw was much different than he. Their mentors exemplified their first task, allowing them to reenact the situation. Both apprentices did well, and despite Longpaw's larger stature, Scorchpaw could outperform him by utilizing his mastery in agility. During his first session, Pecanstorm whispered to Scorchpaw, "Imagine the strength and agility you have; you could take so many lives, my dear apprentice." Scorchpaw remained focused during these sessions, continuously conquering his brother in these spars, generating envy and delirium.

There were a few times Longpaw could overpower Scorchpaw's exertions, provoking Longpaw to become pretentious, just to get shut down once more by Scorchpaw. Pecanstorm would brag to the other mentor about his marvelous apprentice. However, this shattered the bond between Longpaw and Scorchpaw, desiring that these exercises halt or locate a new sparring partner. Pecanstorm would roll his eyes, demanding they carry on, leaving the apprentice to comprehend how to swim. Teaching Scorchpaw how to swim was no easy task, considering he loathed the feeling of a drenched pelage. Typically a feline with sleeker fur had better luck swimming, but that wasn't the case for the apprentice. He managed to acquire the skill, but not so much perfect it. He was a decent swimmer, but no better or less. Whenever Scorchpaw could catch a break, he would spend time with his other brother, Bearpaw, or Honeypaw, his close friend. Though the more he encompassed himself with Honeypaw's presence, a sensation of warmth would flush his ears. Bearpaw often teased Scorchpaw, claiming that his brother had a crush on his best friend, Honeypaw. There were times Bearpaw would hint this to the opposing apprentice, though she never comprehended it. Conceivably, she preferred to hear it from Scorchpaw himself.

During Scorchpaw's apprenticeship, he made a terrible mistake that he'd regret later on in his life. It was another day of sparring with his brother, Longpaw, who he assumed was beginning to abhor him. Scorchpaw was overwhelmed, bewildered as to why Longpaw had been so repugnant recently. The young tomcat had only been performing how he was instructed, with Pecanstorm's exhilarating way of teaching. However, during this session's spar, Pecanstorm had whispered into Scorchpaw's ears, "Use your claws this time. Send him to the Medicine Cat's den. You're not breaking any rules, Scorchpaw." And this time, his mentor's words locked into his crania for once. He felt obligated to listen, which had been unorthodox for the apprentice. Scorchpaw struck his brother across the face, a crooked frown crossing his countenance, "I'm sorry, Longface!" He clamored, ears flattened when Longpaw retaliated, slamming his brother into the earth below. He felt his brother's claws unsheathed, exhorting his weight into his chest as he stared into his eyes with rage. Longpaw bashed his paw into Scorchpaw's cheek, a concerned meow fleeing his maw. A fire sparked within Scorchpaw's eyes, burning with turmoil, plunging his hindquarters into Longpaw's lower abdomen, feeling his sibling stagger. "You're a mouse-brain, Longpaw! A mouse-brain!" He bellowed, sensing his temper accumulate.

Longpaw tottered backward, presenting time for Scorchpaw to scamper to his paws, lunging for Longpaw. Scorchpaw veered around Longpaw, quickly ascending toward the tom's throat. "If you want a real fight, I'll show you one!" The apprentice scowled, shouting at Longpaw before he'd unleashed wrath across Longpaw's neck, lacerating the skin. Longpaw wobbled again, unable to retain his balance, "S-Scorchpaw--" His vocals wavered as blood pooled onto the terrain from his throat. Scorchpaw had been fortunate with the profound wounds in Pecanstorm's eyes. Pecanstorm plagued the scene in his mind, pleasured by the results as Longpaw had been sent to the Medicine Cat's den. The next day, Scorchpaw had raised his voice at Pecanstorm, complaining that his mentor had lied to him. He recalled his parents scolding him for his actions because he'd injured his brother. His consequences could've been less redeemable if he'd been a warrior. He was thankful that Owlstar hadn't exiled him, keeping in mind that if he had harmed him worse, it was a possibility he wouldn't be serving under LighteningClan any further.

Pecanstorm would monitor the two apprentices from afar, expecting Scorchpaw to murder Honeypaw. Little did the warrior know, he'd have to do it himself. Scorchpaw and Pecanstorm had gone out on a hunting patrol, followed by a few other clanmates who departed ways. While the two were meandering about, searching for a scent trail, Scorchpaw's felt a vibrating reverberating on the ground, casting a glimpse in Pecanstorm's way. Frantic, a few trees began to fall as the terrain collapsed beneath, descending downwards, sending debris of rocks and earth their way. Scorchpaw sprinted toward his mentor, panic surging through his physique as he shoved the brute of a tom out of the way from the falling tree nearby. "G-Go, Pecanstorm!" The apprentice ululated, observing his mentor's facade curdling with wrath. Despite desiring to scold Scorchpaw, there was no logical reasoning. Almost exterminating Pecanstorm, he scrambled across the ground and began to run, followed by Scorchpaw. The two were settled upon returning to camp, causing warriors to encircle the bunch. The new leader, Owlstar, broke the crowd, questioning the tom's mentor. Pecanstorm breathed for a moment, glancing toward the CoyoteClan leader, "I am pleased to say, Scorchpaw saved me from a falling tree; his agility is fantastic. However, a rockslide has caused some damage, but our territory will reclaim itself, as it always does." And with that, initiated Scorchpaw's ceremony.

Scorchpaw graduated as a warrior alongside his best friend, Honeypaw. The two were anointed as Scorchrunner for his mastery in agility and Honeyspirit for her benevolent nature. The two sat together that night for their silent vigil. It was challenging for the two to avoid conversing with one another. Scorchrunner was curious about how Honeyspirit earned her warrior ceremony, though she'd been prepared for a few days. Owlstar postponed until there was more to announce than just one apprentice becoming a warrior.

◉ WARRIORHOOD

Scorchrunner didn't intend to maintain a friendship with his previous mentor, Pecanstorm. However, the tom occasionally spoke to him, as much as Scrochrunner wished to stay away from the warrior who often mentioned murder. It was disorienting and insane to think a clanmate, let alone his prior mentor, would want to commit such a foreboding act. One afternoon, Scorchrunner spent time with Honeyspirit when Pecanstorm approached the duo. He inquired if the two would like to join him on a border patrol alongside three other warriors. The pair glanced at one another as Scorchrunner clarified his apprehensions about Pecanstorm to Honeyspirit. The two reluctantly agreed, where Pecanstorm led them into the vast domain of LighteningClan. From the beginning, Honeyspirit and Scorchrunner felt like imbeciles for accepting the sinister cat's invite. Bearfang, Honeyspirit, and Scorchrunner believed there was something hazardous about his mentor. If anything happened, there were three witnesses, for now. Technically, Bearfang isn't a witness in this case, but he agreed Pecanstorm was unsettling.
