Name: Flintstorm
Age: 28 moons
Gender: Nonbinary
Clan: GaleClan
Rank: Warrior
Picture:
Description: Upon first glance at Flintstorm no one would guess that this feline had much to offer in way of strength. They are not considered small and they are not the largest cat in the clan but their size borderlines just below being intimidating. Perhaps it's the confidence they carry that makes them seem bigger than they truly are. Their stature build is elegant with lean muscle beneath silvery fur that's decorated with beautiful black and smokey spots and tabby markings. The next thing you'd notice about said cat is that fact that Flintstorm's features are more on the elegant or 'baby faced' as a cat could get which adds to their charming appearance. They are also light on their paws. Much like most of Galeclan cats who are used to open spaces and clear Moores to race Flintstorm is rather quick on their paws which only is complimented by their lean but sturdy muscles hidden beneath their short but thick fur. Eyes the color of soft green glow are intelligent and gentle when they gaze at another and their voice much like their gender specification doesn't tend to lean towards one way or another making it often hard to decide upon first meeting what kind of cat they are.
Description Summary: A medium-sized silver spotted tabby with light green eyes
Personality: Upon first meeting Flintstorm one may thing the feline is rather boring because they lack the urgency for communication. Not to say that they ignore or don't get social cues but they are not ones who like to talk just to hear their own voice speaking. In fact, Flintstorm hates the sound of their voice so they do not try to talk much. That makes it hard to keep bonds with cats of the clan and causes more conflict between others when they choose not to speak up over a matter and allow others to make their own assumption; again this is not intentional and is more of a quirk of Flintstorm's more than anything. When given the time to open up you'll find that perhaps there is more complexity to the feline than what first meets the eyes. They are actually well-mannered and have a kind soul. They are gentle and sincere in their words; never wishing to say anything out of turn that could offend anyone but at the same time their sincerity comes with the fault that Flintstorm doesn't like to sugarcoat things or put up a pretense of being someone who they are not and wish the same of others; because of this they can be considered blunt and insensitive to other's feelings. This is not the case, they are smart but lack the morality to care enough to 'sugar coat' things just for the sake of someone's feelings. Why hide the truth when it'll come out eventually. If Flintstorm doesn't say it someone else will so why hide anything? This mentality causes them some trouble. But generally speaking, the silver spotted tabby is an agreeable and good company if you do not mind their lack of filter. They have a relaxed personality and have a hard-working drive to be active and help out others when able even if there is no real communication. They did not like sitting idle for too long and hated routine duties of the day; instead of allowing themselves to go where they are most urged to go.
Flintstorm is not one who often receives or gives open affection and is awkward about it especially when others are around them or watching. They do not hide their feelings very well either and it is very obvious when they are uncomfortable. Flintstorm can also be rather confrontational due to other lack of filter that they have going on and has no problem for openly stating what they think and even going so far as saying it to the faces of higher-ups. Due to the conflicts during the time of the earthquake Flinstorm most definitely speaks their mind and allows their emotion to get the best of them. They are struggling with the prospect of the merging which altered their perspective of the leaderships of other clans including their own and makes it hard for them to trust those even of their own clan as some had left Galeclan to merge with another newly merged clan.
History: Kithood
Flintstorm was born in the formerly known Lighteningclan with their twin sister Silverlily. The siblings grew up under the care of their parents Gooseberry their mother and Bravesky their father who were both born in Lighteningclan. Flinstorm had a good childhood. Unlike some of their peers growing up who'd lost a parent or two Flintstorm's life wasn't all that exciting. They were very close with their twin Silverlily when they were younger and were always inseparable. Unlike what Flintstorm grew up into the feline actually was a rather rebellious and troublesome kit who loved playing pranks, especially on Silverlily. Their energy together was contagious as if fueling each other's quirky sides. They were happy. That was until Flintstorm went a little overboard with one of their pranks which caused them to get in trouble and even endangered Silverlily. Flintstorm thought it'd be a great idea to try and sneak past the camp entrance and play around the front pathway a yard or two away from the entrance of camp during one nap time in the afternoon. When their mother was snoozing away for her own nap thinking that her children were sleeping beside her; they were in fact not and the silver tabby twins were already out the entrance playing just shy from the view of anyone by the entrance. They thought they were being clever and adventurous. That was until a hawk had to ruin the fun. It had swooped down upon seeing the two small kits alone and was only stopped short of snatching up Silverlily by one of the afternoon hunting patrol members coming back from their hunt. Silverlily got a nice scar over her eye though to remember that scary day. Flintstorm and Silverlily were escorted back inside, taken care of by the medicine cat, and then reported to their parents as well as a good scolding of the leader. Flintstorm never forgave themselves for nearly being the cause of their sister's near-death even when she forgave them in return; Silverlily was always so adoring and forgiving anything her twin sibling could have done before and after anything happened. Because of the foolishness, both siblings were retained from gaining apprenticeship for 2 moons past their age so it took them longer than others their age.
Apprenticeship
When at last Flintstorm and Silverlily became apprentices they were assigned to their mentors Crowlight and Spottedleg respectively. Silverlily seemed to bloom during her training sessions with an eagerness to learn; it was not surprising when she seemed to outshine her sibling. Flintstorm on the other hand had a harder time trying to connect with their mentor Crowlight. Being young and their mentor being a senior warrior their age gap was large enough that they struggled to make a connection. Perhaps it was Crowlight's straightforward and blunt manner that rubbed off of Flintstorm that slowly began to wither the younger cat's adventurous and bright personality as the lessons were a little grueling. Or perhaps it was the grudge that held the young cat down for their own stupidity that they could never truly let go about being held back. Whatever the reason was. Let's just say the once happy and adventurous Flintstorm grew into something akin to an anti-social introvert; this behavior worried their sister but Flintstorm wouldn't talk about it and instead went about their business and allowed her to shine where she was meant to be. But there was one thing that broke the camel's back. Flintstorm who was almost old enough to become a warrior at this point in time had fallen in love with this she-cat named Embercloud who was older than them and a warrior already. She was kind and bright; giving Flintstorm the idea that perhaps love was in the cards for them. But that got dashed real quick when after moons of friendship and affection from this female Flintstorm was ready to ask her to be their mate after they became a warrior. Flintstorm was sent out on a border mission with a few other apprentices and warriors. During the scouting of the territory, they'd come across a fox scent that they had to follow to make sure it was not denned near their territory that they used frequently which ended up a total disaster. What did you expect when the apprentices lacked the proper training to fight a fox head-on? Flintstorm had been hurt pretty badly; their leg was broken and to the point that it could have made Flintstorm lame. The tabby had been brought back to the apprentice den where a rumor of their injury got out and spread across camp as if it were true that Flintstorm was lame and crippled. The rumor got to Flintstorm's love interest who felt overwhelmed by the news and broke whatever the two of them shared. That's when Flintstorm's perspective on relationships broke completely. Screw the thought of love. Love only hurt you in the end. Of course, by the time that the therapy and stretches of the leg were over with and the apprentice was able to gain their strength back to walk normally again their love interest had already become mates with another.
Warriorhood
They'd become warriors a few moons apart from each other. Silverlily had gotten her warrior name a few moons before Flintstorm who at this point in their story they were still doing therapy for the wounded leg so their warrior name ceremony was postponed yet again. So it was clear to say that Flintstorm didn't get their warrior name until they were at least 16 moons of age. During their rehab they shut everyone out; not like they had many friends to start with and that lack of support from their fellow clan mates besides Silverlily and Flintstorm's parents did a number for their self-confidence and view on social life. After it was official that Flintstorm was a warrior they felt lost; with no friends to speak of and no real social experience anymore they struggle even to this day to make it somewhere in the warriorhood they were named in. When the earthquake hit, crumbling the earth beneath and destroying the clan camp and territory making them all have to flee for their lives Bravesky was one of those who had passed away trying to save the elders from the nursery while Gooseberry managed to escape ahead with the kits in the nursery. A small sadistic part of Flintstorm's brain was happy that they found out that their former love interest Embercloud was also among those who had perished but then felt a little bad when Flintstorm realized that Embercloud left behind a few kits without a mother and a father who had no clue how to care for the kits on his own. Perhaps it was fate or karma. But, Starclan literally threw a little surprise or perhaps a little miracle into Flintstorm's face. In the form of a flying ball of fur. During the quake, one of Embercloud's kit's had been separated from the other nursery queens and kits in the group, a shift of the earth brought the little furball flying up into the air and would have disappeared into the chasm of the earth below if it weren't for Flintstorm's quick reflexes; just barely able to snag the kit mid-fall at the last second by its scruff before rejoining the group to safer ground. Ever since then Flintstorm found themselves shadowed or watched from across camp by those little eyes; the warrior pretended not to notice when trying to sleep that said furball would often crawl over to be as close to the warrior as possible when they slept. This made its father actually jealous and worried as the male realized the attachment that his child had for the former love interest of their mother. Perhaps it was Embercloud's way of asking for forgiveness for the way that she treated Flintstorm or perhaps it was simply Starclan telling the grumpy feline it was time to let the past go and move forwards. Still even to this day after being transferred into their new camp and trying to adjust to the new territory Flintstorm will often see the little shadow at the corner of their eye.
Other: The unnamed kit and twin sister will be up for adoption later.
