Owlmind
LightningClan || 66 Moons || Deputy
It was dark outside, the moon still the only light within the inky black sky though it was starting to begin it's slow descent. Dawn was approaching but it had yet to streak any light to brighten up the misty, foggy valley below. Dew twinkling upon every blade of grass.
Giving a quick stretch, the gray deputy pushed away the night's sleep as a job lingered upon her mind. Giving a quick sniff over the three colorful kits at her flank, the senior warrioress quietly slipped from her nest within the Nursery and out into the waiting darkness of Lightningclan's open camp. The moon overhead cast a ethereal light down, giving her gray coat a silver shimmer and a pale glow to her wide, amber eyes.
She wasn't the only one out and about, without much time difference between her departure from the nursery, four of her clanmates met her at the center of camp. Sleep was still present within their features but their eyes were shimmering and patient, waiting for the next step of their early morning excursion.
Owlmind had already informed the others of their plan. It was to be quick, quiet and most importantly, non-confrontational. The gray strategist and her battle brilliant brother were now leading Lightningclan, and their vision for the future was starting today by reclaiming the land they currently 'shared' with Treeclan.
For now, the plan was to remain non-violent.
Flickering her tail, the lanky feline gave each cat a nod before turning and making her way towards the entrance. "Stay close and quiet. I want this border re-scented before Treeclan's dawn patrol comes around." Of course, the clan of the moors would have a dawn patrol arrive at a later time, to both check on the status of the new border and double scent it with a stronger layer.
Giving one last look to those around her, Owlmind turned and darted quickly from camp, through the dew spotted moors on her way towards the Open Woods. The silver moonlight flickered in and out of the drifting clouds ahead, dimming and brightening their way depending on the status. The gray warrioress swift and soundless as she raced ahead of her patrol, Batear the closest to her position as the two orientals led the way past the current border and towards the invisible line they would soon remark.
Slowing, the aging feline felt the slightest strain within her shoulder, an old wound acting up for the moment. Flickering her ears and motioning with her long tail, Owlmind parted her maw once more to speak, "Split up, make sure the whole border is marked." Her gaze met Mudpelt's briefly before the code abiding tom nodded and headed towards where Batear was padding, leaving the other two warriors with their deputy as she headed in the opposite direction.
