Description:
Apart from her small stature, nothing is really noteworthy about Littlepaw’s appearance. She has short, somewhat thick fur. A mixture of black stripes and spots pattern what would otherwise be a plain, dark gray back. A main onyx stripe runs down the length of her spine. She has a white chest, and the white continues up around her neck, though it stops when it reaches her spine. Beyond the white marking, a lighter brown color makes up the base color of her head. The black stripes continue, though with less frequency, and eventually the brown and the black give away to a white muzzle and stripe on the nose. Though bright, her green eyes are not particularly startling. Dark gray legs carry her, ending in small paws; her left forepaw is white. Though not very meticulous about it, Littlepaw usually keeps her fur groomed to an acceptable level.
Description Summary: A small, primarily dark gray she-cat with green eyes and short fur
Personality:
Quiet
She will occasionally reach out to other cats in an attempt to make friends, but she usually prefers to let others talk rather than herself. This slightly shy she-cat would rather not stand in the spotlight, though if it does fall on her, she will pull herself together and compose herself, speaking politely. Since she would rather to listen, Littlepaw has become somewhat perceptive, mostly born out of practice than natural ability.Modest
She is not one for bragging; in fact, she disapproves of braggers, though she does not say anything to cats if they start boasting. Unconsciously, she may downplay her actions, though she only does this to herself. This is a subconscious attempt to keep from talking about herself, something that may stem from her time in the nursery, when her mother gave her special attention. Once she recognized her mother’s actions, Littlepaw grew embarrassed and guilty, and as though trying to compensate for what her mother did, she now tries to keep the attention off of her.Peacekeeper
Naturally, Littlepaw is not a fan of conflict. She prefers to remain neutral rather than take sides and use her position to try and regain the peace. Since the split from her siblings, she fears that any fights would lead to an unbridgeable rift between the arguing cats. More often than not, her extreme fears are unfounded, but her perceptiveness tends to not extend to herself, for she has yet to realize this. She goes to extremes to try to prevent any conflict, even if it includes not standing up for herself. She finds it shamefully easy to swallow her pride, but she will not admit that that worries her.
History:
Littlepaw’s mother, Spottedheart, never really expected her to live long, small as she was; her siblings, after all, seemed a much healthier and normal size at birth. Convinced of her youngest kit’s short life span, she decided that she would make the kit’s life as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. After all, once she was gone, Spottedheart could compensate and fully devote her time to her other two kits. On a whim, she chose the name Littlekit, for the kit’s small stature and predictably short life span. Poor Spottedheart meant well, but she was not particularly bright or experienced in mothering and kits. Littlekit grew up accustomed to comfort and her mother’s favor, though at that young of an age neither she nor her siblings recognized the difference in the way they were treated; Spottedheart didn't neglect her other kits in favor of her youngest. The kits grew rather close, for their personalities complimented each other. Due to her smaller size, Blossomkit, her sister, and Swiftkit, her brother, shared the opinion that Littlekit was the weakest of them, and said she-cat did nothing to contest this view. She preferred to let them continue with their thoughts, not believing that an argument was worth it. In fact, the she-cat often acted as a mediator for her older, more strong-willed siblings when they had occasional disputes.
It was not until they were a little older that Littlekit, Blossomkit, and Swiftkit noticed their mother’s favoritism. By then, it had lessened slightly, now that Littlekit had proved to Spottedheart that she was strong enough to survive the first few moons of life. However, it seemed as though Spottedheart could not completely let go of her habits. Blossomkit and Swiftkit initially resented Littlekit for having their mother’s favor, and it caused the first break. They made small, half-hearted attempts to fix their relationship, but they became increasingly less effective and the trio split. While she was resented for her mother’s actions, Littlekit grew resentful toward Spottedheart for causing the rift between her and her beloved siblings. She did not want her mother’s favor because it embarrassed her and confused her; why would her mother think that she wanted to be treated better than the rest? However, she could not find it within herself to convey that message and risk her mother’s ire as well. The relationship became strained as Spottedheart, in turn, felt guilty for favoring Littlekit more, and her guilt made her increasingly uncomfortable around her daughter. Needless to say, all of them were relieved when Blossomkit’s, Swiftkit’s, and Littlekit’s apprentice ceremonies arrived.
