Firecloud The ginger and white tom walked back into the camp with four pieces of prey hanging from his jaws. A squirrel, a plump rabbit, a mouse, and a bird. The tom felt proud with his catch and he walked over to the kill pile. He then placed the four pieces at the top and he motioned for Rosepaw to come over. "Go and take this rabbit to the Elders." He watched as his daughter obeyed and he sighed happily. He knew he had no worries with Rosepaw, it was more of his sons that he had to worry about right now. They seemed to be in a troublesome phase. He shook his head then and he purred a chuckle. "Don't worry about it Firecloud, they will learn the hard way." He flicked his fluffy tail then as he went to go and lay down under a tree. The tom smiled lightly and he wrapped his tail around his paws. Sure, it was not as hot as it should be yet, but this tom will soon be begging to have no fur on his body. The ginger and white laid his head on his paws and tail then as he watched the camp. He missed being young and being able to jump around a lot like the new generation. There were days when he tried, and ended up hurting himself. He noticed a couple of kits playing then and he purred lightly. This is what he lived for. Seeing families built and seeing a clan thrive. Words:268 ● Tagged:OPEN

Ivywhisker
There were perks to being StoneClan's sole medicine cat. It meant that the creamy-furred she-cat got a lot of time to herself to think. It also meant that she didn't have an apprentice getting in her way whilst she worked. However, there were also many disadvantages. Such disadvantages included the huge amount of pressure that hung upon Ivywhisker's shoulders. In the long cold season, the StoneClan medicine cat had had her paws full with treating sick patients and had hardly a moment to herself. Now that Green-leaf had begun and her clan remained strong, Ivywhisker was eager to replenish her herb stores whilst she had the time.
If she had an apprentice, perhaps she would've been able to send him or her out to collect the herbs for her, but Ivywhisker was not so fortunate. Oh well, I suppose the fresh air is good. The herbs high upon her list of demand were Horsetail and Goldenrod. One of the warriors had managed to somehow acquire a rather nasty scratch and deciding not to visit Ivywhisker, it had become infected. A poultice of Goldenrod and Horsetail would be able to treat it, with luck.
The pale ginger she-cat paused in the entrance to her den, letting her eyes sweep the camp before her. Her intention was to travel to the Sky Springs in search of the herbs, perhaps she could ask a warrior or apprentice to tag along? That way she'd be able to collect more herbs and it would certainly help.
Ivywhisker gave a twitch of her whiskers, Everyone seems to be pretty busy already, she realised, releasing a breath into the warm morning air. As with most mornings, StoneClan's camp was bursting with life, with warriors both entering and leaving camp, some returning from patrols or hunting, other heading out to train their apprentice. Taking a couple of steps out from the shelter of her den, the medicine cat came to a halt a few tail-lengths from her den, her eyes scouring her surroundings once more.
It took a couple of heartbeats or so for her to notice the ginger-and-white tom lain beneath a tree, very still in relation to the cats around him. Firecloud? Perhaps... Deciding it to be worth a try, Ivywhisker picked her way across camp, exchanging brief greetings and dips of the heads with various passing cats. She didn't particularly want to disturb the warrior, especially if he'd just returned from hunting, which it seemed as if he had, but collecting herbs was hardly strenuous work, perhaps he would appreciate the leisurely stroll.
"Good morning, Firecloud," Ivywhisker mewed politely, offering a dip of the head to the ginger-and-white tom, "I'm sorry to disturb you, but I could do with a helping paw collecting herbs and I was wondering if you'd be up for it?" Obviously, if he didn't particularly like the idea of collecting herbs, Ivywhisker would leave him be. There was bound to be someone who could help her.

FIRECLOUD of StoneClan 48 Moons. Tom. Senior Warrior
His ears perked behind him as pawsteps bound up softly. He didn't move until a voice was heard. He recognized the scent ad the voice to belong to Ivywhisker, the medicine cat. Firecloud rose to his paws and he bowed in respect to the she-cat. He heard her next question and he purred lightly. The she-cat had helped his entire family get through the the leaf bare safe and sound, plus, he enjoyed the sounds of just going for a walk, and being helpful. Sure, he just got back from hunting, but who said helping the medicine cat was a bad thing? "I would be honored to help you Ivywhisker." He flicked his tail happily and he waited for her to lead the way.
He offered a small smile and he looked around. "How are you on this day Ivywhisker?" He asked the she-cat then. He was not about to have this trip be an awkward one. Besides, he was one of the kindest cats here anyways. But that was not going to stop him from being ruthless if he needed to be. He would protect Ivywhisker with his life, she was a clan mate, and she was young enough to be one of his kits. He respected the she-cat and he was not about to have her be lost because of a stupid mousedung cat. He shook his head lightly and focused back on the present. No more thoughts for him, or he would get himself into trouble by walking into something or not being observant enough.

Apprentice of StoneClan || 6 Moons || Tom When one was the color of freshly fallen snow in the vibrant green forests of green-leaf the entire concept of stealth was more-or-less something of a whimsy. Whitepaw had long since given up on trying to sneak up on his prey, the sun continued to betray him and cast light over his already blindingly white pelt, illuminating his position with all the subtly of a paw upside the head; that is to say none at all. He had now taken to quietly strolling through the woods, feigning disinterest and listening carefully for the sound of anything moving in the vicinity. The second something caught his attention his ears would swivel about to try and locate the source and he'd quickly spring for it as fast as his thin limbs could throw him.
Usually it ended in failure, his speed was not quite yet a match for the nimble prey that lurked in the underbrush, but he had gotten lucky on two occasions and had a few mice buried nearby to be carried back to camp when he was done. At the very least he would not go back with empty paws. As he continued his meager attempts at hunting in this drearily hot day he spotted a flicker of cream and red moving about near the edge of camp and he gamely padded over to investigate.
"Hello." The apprentice greeted, eyes flashing with curiosity to his two clanmates. Ivywhisker and Firecloud. While he did take the pains to match names to faces he wasn't exactly the most well-informed of cats and that could be chopped up to his strangely uncaring demeanor towards the comings and goings of his clan. He did know Firecloud had some kits who were apprentices like he was, so perhaps that was a good enough bit of information he could warp into conversation. "Ivywhisker, how are you? Firecloud, how's the training for your kits going? Weren't they just apprenticed like me?" He should probably take the time to speak with them, StarClan knows he needed to work on socializing with his clan more.

I V Y W H I S K E R
The creamy-furred she-cat dipped her head graciously when the ginger-and-white tom so readily accepted her request for help. There had been too many times when she'd had to take an apprentice to assist her and it had been so clear that they didn't want to be there, but Firecloud had been polite and friendly in his response, which the medicine cat was grateful for.
Dipping her head, she gave a light smile, "I'm good, thank you," she gave a light, eyes flickering over the ginger-and-white tom, "And you?" she inquired, inclining her head. Having risen to her paws, her ears remained angled towards the older cat to listen to his response, but her eyes had focused upon the camp exit. She had to confess, the arrival of another cat wasn't anticipated and Whitepaw's arrival made her jump initially, head jerking around to identify the newcomer.
"Oh, Whitepaw, it's you," she let her neck fur lie flat, blinking sheepishly, "Hi." Letting a light exhale spill into the air, she gave a bob of the head, "Good, I'm good," she mewed, ear twitching lightly, "Firecloud was going to help me collect some herbs, you're welcome to join us?" Ivywhisker understood that, for most apprentices, herb collecting wasn't high on the list of activities that they enjoyed participating in, but it would have been rude to not invite the apprentice. Besides, an extra paw was always welcomed and perhaps the ginger she-cat could get to know the white tom a little? Ivywhisker tended to spend most of her time hiding away in the medicine cat's den or out collecting herbs and could be somewhat timid around other cats, making an acquaintance of both these two cats could prove good for her.
Giving a sharp toss of the head, Ivywhisker lifted her head briefly to the sky and the white-shouldered mountains that jutted up above them. Although the day was warm now, there was an undoubtable moisture in the air. And that could only mean one thing. Rain. Ivywhisker, like most cats, most certainly did not enjoy the rain. If they got going quickly, they should be able to dodge a soaking.
Clearing her throat, she indicated towards the sky with a lavish of her tail, "I'm not meaning to rush you, but it's probably going to rain later," her gaze flickered from Firecloud back to Whitepaw, "It would probably best if we get going now. I don't know about you, but I'd rather not get my pelt wet."

FIRECLOUD of StoneClan 48 Moons. Tom. Senior Warrior
He could tell that she was relieved to have him say yes to help her. He didn't mind helping her, for she helped them all at one point in time. The ginger and white tom dipped his head in return to hers and he listened to her answer and question. But that was quickly interrupted by a white bundle of fur and he looked down to see Whitepaw was with them now as well. Firecloud heard his questions quickly and Firecloud purred in amusement. Not many asked about his kits, but when someone did ask about them, it made him a little happier. He knew that not all of them were on good terms with the clan, for some liked to cause trouble. But he let those thoughts go and he focused back to answering questions.
"I am well thank you Ivywhisker, and thank you Whitepaw." He answered both of their questions before he thought to the question about his kits. He hadn't seen much of them as of late because of their training, but that didn't mean that they weren't doing well right? He would have been told if they were misbehaving or hurt. "They are all doing well, thank you Whitepaw." Firecloud scented the air quickly and he could taste it too, the rain was coming, so when Ivywhisker asked to get moving, he didn't waste time.
"I agree Ivywhisker. Whitepaw would you like to come?" The Medicine Cat had already asked, but he was putting the invitation out once more, just so that they could get moving. He would let Ivywhisker lead the way, since she knew where they were going, he didn't.

Apprentice of StoneClan || 6 Moons || Tom "I suppose I can assist." The apprentice said with a curt nod, his tone polite but disinterested. He knew nothing of herbs so he doubted he'd be much help there, but he could certainly carry things for the medicine cat. A beast of burden was, perhaps, better than a simple beast. The thought made his whiskers quiver with a hint of amusement, always pleased to find his humor intact. He used it so rarely he sometimes doubted it even existed anymore.
Despite his obvious lack of understanding for social protocol he knew enough to sense the medicine cats unease when it came to conversing and mingling with her clanmates, it was a touch difficult to socialize when you were so busy keeping them alive, he thought. "Rain..." Whitepaw said quietly, rolling the word around in his mouth, "Why, if it rains would that make us RainClan? If so I call dibs on being Timberwing, now that's a she-cat whose path I'd rather not cross. I bet I do a good impression of her though." Lifting a paw he casually swatted at a smooth rock formation next to them, his paw making a comical 'thwap' as it hit.
After a brief pause he sheepishly lifted the same paw to his mouth and cleared his throat with a raspy cough, "...I mean. Yes. We should hurry along then." Ah, humor. It looks like you were gone after all. Well, he tried.
