Batear The amount of sheer irony in what had come together that afternoon was amazing. As per usual, Owlmind, Lightningclan Deputy, assigned a couple of patrols, one of which Batear had the luck of being a part of. The irony came from who else was within this patrol. The whole crew consisted of Batear, Crowface, Goosepaw, and Owlmind herself. Four she-cats, all who had similar appearances in terms of body shape, face shape, and even colors. Both Batear and Crowface were basically identical, considering they were sisters. Goosepaw, Owlmind’s daughter, looked extremely similar to her mother, color and tone of voice only being two of their similarities.
There were quite a few personalities in this patrol, so the likelihood of it being a very interesting patrol was high. Not too long after the patrols had been decided, Batear found herself waiting at the entrance to the camp. At the sound of footsteps, her head turned and her bright green eyes watched as her three companions joined her.
She waited until all of them were together and ready before she stood, her long tail curling behind her. She remained where she stood, awaiting Owlmind’s order for the patrol to begin and for her to take the lead. -205
Goosepaw How fortunate she was. What a relief it was, if she was honest. As the mid-day patrols were decided, Goosepaw found her name being called by the voice of her mother. She was put in one of the patrols alongside the twin pair of Batear and Crowface, as well as her own mother. Luckily, she was relatively fond of the black twin she-cats, considering both of them were smarter and more tolerable than many of the other cats she could have been put with. Then, of course, there was Owlmind, who Goosepaw was overjoyed to be on a patrol with. She wouldn’t show this outwardly, but surely her mother knew that this would make the young Apprentice happy on the inside.
Quite openly, though, Goosepaw showed that she was indeed satisfied by allowing her more snarky side to show through. After her name had been called for the patrol, she went to the prey pile and ate a small mouse to give her some extra energy. But as she turned and made her way towards where one of her patrol-mates was already waiting, she caught sight of movement out of the corner of her eye. When she turned, she momentarily locked eyes with that of her sister, Goldenpaw. At this, her eyes narrowed and a smirk appeared on her face. She turned away and walked towards one of the lanky black she-cats once again, both tail and chin lifted proudly. She finally had the chance to be in her mother’s spotlight rather than it being her goody-two-paws older sister.
As she approached who she assumed was Batear, she glanced around to check for the identical replica of Batear and for Owlmind. -281

Owlmind LightningClan || 69 Moons || Deputy
At the break of dawn, while color and light streaked out over the darkness of night, the gray senior warrioress pulled herself from the warmth of her nest, sleep a mere memory as she blinked away the remainder of her foggy dream. A chilly breeze crept under her short pel, causing a shiver to float down the deputy's spine as she stretched and padded quietly through the open camp and Lightningclan stirred awake at the prospect of a new day.
Her shoulder ached, nothing new to her as the injury had happened early within her youth as a fresh warrior, and the cold of the stirring leaf-bare was a reminder of the fact that she hated this time of the year. If anything, the cold and snow was a loathed enemy she could never rid herself of. Forcing herself through a limp, working through the soreness of the tight muscles, the gray feline made her way towards the center of the camp in preparation for assigning patrols. The scent of rain was on the breeze, causing her to think two steps ahead and send ouore hunters than normal. She wanted to make sure her clan was fed through tomorrow incase a storm knocked out any chance of fresher prey patrols. And though she kepts patrols around the mountains and Treeclan fairly low, the patrols heading around Stoneclan remained strong due to past tension and the possibility of future if war should break out among the valley.
As the sun rose higher and cats started filtering in and out of camp, Owlmind finally assigned one last patrol as she called a pawfull of names to join her on their journey to the Sun Stones. Wide, amber pools sought out the familar shapes of Crowface and Batear, two lanky black sisters, as well as the near identical form of the deptuy's gray pelted daughter from the Apprentice's Den. It'd be good to check in on the fiesty she-cat's training with Nightstep, and a border patrol was generally calm and relaxing.
Flicking her long tail to dismiss some straggling warriors, the lanky feline stood and made her way towards where the three Oriental cats where awaiting her presence. With a respectful dip of her head to each black coated warrioress and a curt nod towards Goosepaw, Owlmind took lead of the patrol and headed from the camp and out onto the waiting moorlands. The mountious winds brought the scent of Stoneclan, which only grew stronger the closer the group of four heading in that direction.
Owlmind's view on their scrubland neighbors was a complicated one. She respected both Hawkstar and Smokestorm for their dedication and heart when it came to their clan, as any leader and deputy pair would. But the general like feline was also aware of the tattered history between Stoneclan and Lightningclan, aware of the blood and violence between them that could be buried but never truely forgotten. The brilliant warrioress would love nothing more than to take the Sun Stones back from them, another foothold in the rising of a new Era for the clan of the moorlands, but it would have to wait. Reclaiming the Open Woods was the first step, but they couldn't get greedy.
Not yet anyways. Within time, perhaps.
Flicking a wide ear, the narrow faced senior warrior turned her mind onto something else. "Batear, I've spoken to Redstar about Thistlepaw earning her name. She is young, but I think you have done a wonderful job training her into the future warrior she will be. You should be proud." The Deputy's tone was raspy and sharp as always, those amber pools always undreadavle as the gray cat continued pad softly through the swaying grasses. Her shoulder ached slightly, reirritated by the violent incounter with a pheasent a pawful of days ago when she was on a hunting patrol with Crowface and few others.
Batear and Crowface were fairly different in personality, but both had strong hearts and loyalty to their clan that couldn't be matched. Within time, Owlmind was sure there would be an apprentice within Crowface's future.
Turning those amber pools to her daughter, Owlmind slipped into the role of a teacher once more. It was one of her favorite things, molding and aiding the formation and mind of a future warrior. She had had many, many apprentices within her time as a warrior, and hopefully more as she continued to aid the clan as their deputy. "Goosepaw, can you smell anything out of the ordinary?" The older she-cat caught the faintest hint of Lynx, far stale but present as it lingered farther up the face of the mountains. Wisdom. Courage. Strategy.

Crowface's penchant for physical activities frequently kept the she-cat in a state of lurking. As an apprentice, she'd follow just about any other moving clanmate, hoping to tag along for the lesson. Now that she was grown, her mark tended to be the clan deputy, a role currently occupied by Owlmind. She'd convinced Owlmind to let her lead a hunting patrol before. This time, the deputy approached her with an assignment. Crowface hadn't forgotten the she-cat's remarks from their last patrol together, and she wondered if Owlmind was going to show her how it should be done.
The moment Owlmind gave the order, she moved in the direction of the camp's entrance. Crowface's whiskers began twitching on the way; she smelled a rainstorm in the wind. The sleek black cat hastened toward the front of camp. She spotted Batear immediately and approached her statuesque sister. Her chin jerked up and her long tail lifted straight up in silent greeting. Beside her sat another lanky cat, an apprentice named Goosepaw. Her mentor was Nightstep, but she didn't see the tom accompanying this patrol. Rather than greet the lower-ranking cat, Crowface swept her wedge-like face about.
At the deputy's approach, Crowface stood up alongside Batear, forming a cutting pair of profiles together. She briefly lowered her eyes in respect and quickly fell in line as Owlmind led the patrol out of camp and in the direction of Sun Stones. She hadn't told anyone that she had faced off with Smokestorm here. Defiant of StoneClan's so-called claim, she maintained her right to enjoy half of the shining rocks. This time around, the Sun Stones would be a much more pleasant place, without the fog and overcast skies that'd made the warming spot quite useless that day.
Peeling her lips back to gain as much scent as possible, Crowface tried to note the invisible line those presumptuous StoneClanners had set. She guessed that their deputy would've been so heated as to send multiple patrols to the site in the following days to reinforce the border.
She drifted away from the other three a few times to sniff at a tunnel hole. With her mouth parted and whiskers twitching as she loped back and forth, never straying far from the patrol, she resembled a hound dog for a pack of hunters. She let the three of them chat; Crowface was a cat of ruthless focus, too busy to ask her sister questions about how her apprentice was coming. As for Goosepaw, just being Owlmind's daughter was not merit on its own. She still had to show her potential.
Hearing Owlmind's question, Crowface's big ear pivoted in her direction, wondering how the gray she-cat would respond. She'd caught the scent of something herself but she paused to give Goosepaw enough time to answer.

Batear On any normal patrol, Batear wouldn’t be quite as solider-like as her twin sister normally was. She just wasn’t that sort of cat, as many of her clanmates had discovered over the moons. She enjoyed being able to be both alert and relaxed as she marked their borders and checked for signs of danger rather than constantly on edge. Yet, as she had discovered, when around Crowface, she found herself somewhat taking on that sort of role, partly at least. As her sister approached, as well as Goosepaw, she almost instinctively found herself straightening out her back, lifting her head slightly more than she had before. It wasn’t that she felt the need to become more frigid or proper when around her sister, but more so that she had learned to do this in order to keep at least some relationship between them. The two of them didn’t really interact much, which she did find a little disappointing, for she was a very family-oriented cat. Regardless of how stoic her sister posed herself, she still cared deeply for her twin, just as she had and still did care for their runaway brother who had technically made them a triplet pair.
Once their gray Deputy had joined them, she waited for the given signal before leaving her stance, following behind Owlmind as they departed into the meadows that Lightningclan called home. As their trek began, primarily in silence for most of the way, the large-eared she-cat found herself examining the mother-daughter pair that accompanied her and her sister on the patrol. Owlmind and Goosepaw. A pair that were quite powerful on their own, despite Goose only being an Apprentice. The Lightningclan Deputy, similarly to Crowface, was much more soldier-like when it came to clan business, always one seeking a new way of bettering the clan, even if it negatively affected the other clans. Her daughter, almost a smaller and younger clone of herself, was very judgmental of every single cat she met, never one to trust a single soul until they proved their worth and never one to hold back what she thought of another. Together, she was sure that they could be a two-cat army that was in constant defence of the clan. Owlmind would decide the fate of the clan, and should anyone ever question her, they would be at the mercy of Goosepaw. Though, the likelihood of Goosepaw ever truly showing someone mercy was highly questionable.
As these thoughts went through her mind, she found herself drawn out of her own head by Owlmind’s raspy voice, her ears perking. As the Deputy spoke her piece, Batear felt a small smile creeping at the edges of her jaws.
“Thank you. I am proud of her; she has definitely come a long way from when she began. I know she will make a great Warrior, ” she meowed, somewhat attempting to prevent the purr that she felt coming on to release. She was indeed very proud of Thistlepaw. She had once been a small kit who had trouble running due to her larger paws and longer claws, as well as a cat who was quick to follow whatever thoughts her clanmates held of others. But after a few moons with Batear, she had formed into a quick-learner who wasn’t as quick to judge and had learned to use her larger paws and claws to her advantage. Batear could hardly wait until the day that she would get to watch her Apprentice become an official Warrior.
Soon, the patrol reached the border that separated Lightningclan from Stoneclan. She gazed at the Sun Stones ahead of them, only for a moment thinking about the relatively tense relationship that the two clans had formed due to past circumstances. She pushed these thoughts aside as she once again heard Owlmind’s voice speak. As the Deputy asked the question, she momentarily glanced at the larger gray she-cat, taking note of the question. She turned her gaze back towards the stones, taking in a deep breath. She did catch on to what she assumed Owlmind was testing, so she found her curiosity also wondering what Goosepaw was to say.
-692
Goosepaw Despite Goosepaw’s typical eagerness to speak her mind, the gray she-cat found herself silent among these three cats. The twins, Batear and Crowface, were cats that she found herself not criticizing has harshly as she may do to many of the others of the clan. Batear, the twin that was openly friendlier, had her small moments of stupidity, as all cats did. But she was one to quickly correct her mistakes when she made them rather than leave them to someone else or wait to be corrected. While she did see positively of Batear, it was her twin that Goosepaw found herself drawn to more. Crowface was the more silent and stoic of the two, never one for small talk and always on alert. Surprisingly, in a few ways, she reminded her of her mother, which was always a good trait in Goose’s mind.
And then, of course, there was Owlmind, Goosepaw’s mother, Deputy, and role-model. One of the most loyal cats in all of Lightningclan, she was a she-cat to be respected by all who crossed her path. The older gray she-cat had proven her loyalty and her intelligence to the clan many times, ways of improving the clan and taking what they deserved from the others only being two of the ways that she made the perfect Deputy. She held a deep respect for her uncle, Redstar, and she did think that he lead the clan well. But she knew that one day her mother would rule Lightningclan with an iron paw, and when that day came, she knew that Lightningclan would never be underestimated.
During the trip to the Stoneclan border, she found herself grateful that there was no speaking, though it changed when her mother spoke up, speeking of Batear’s Apprentice Thistlepaw. If she remembered correctly, the older Apprentice was already in the process of becoming a Warrior, or at least was waiting for her ceremony. Goosepaw hadn’t personally been around Thistlepaw too much, though it was on purpose. The lanky gray she-cat was not in the Apprentice’s den to make friends or listen to any other cat’s training progress. She was there to become a Warrior, and a damn good one at that. In her mind, that would be accomplished by focusing on her own training and pushing aside all the small-talk.
As the Sun Stones came into view, her green eyes narrowed, glaring in the direction of their stone-climbing neighbors. She had not been around when Lightningclan had drove Stoneclan from their territory. She had not been there for their return. But she had heard many stories from older members of the clan who had been there. After everything that she had heard of Stoneclan, she held one word in her mind to describe them: weak. Their current Leader, last she had heard, was the very old Hawkstar, likely on his last legs, which on its own was foolish. Firesky, Lightningclan’s previous Leader, as well as her own grandmother, had chosen to retire to the Warriors den and allow a younger and stronger cat to take her spot so that the clan would only grow stronger. If the cats of Stoneclan were smarter, their weakened and gray sliver of a Leader would let a more capable cat take his place. Yet she had a feeling that the old tom would stay right where he was until the day his eyes opened no more, just to spite those that knew he was too weak to do so.
The thin she-cat’s thoughts were cut off by a question brought forth by her mother, which immediately caught her attention. Smell anything out of the ordinary… At this, her narrowed eyes slowly scanned the ground ahead of her, her jaws slightly parting and breathing in deep to take in the scents that still lingered within the shorter grass. At first she only caught on to what she was sure was old prey, once perched on the border but long gone by now. As a matter of fact, she caught on to a couple of things that stood out. But then there was something right at the end that caused her ears to perk and the tip of her tail to twitch. Taking a few slow steps forward, the gray oriental took in multiple deep breaths, trying to pinpoint what exactly it was that she was smelling.
“Yes. It seems as though we have a hawk making itself comfortable at our border.” While scanning the area around her, her gaze happened to land on Crowface at the corner of her eye. She took an unappreciative note of the fact that she could see one of the she-cats large ears turned in their direction, obviously listening in to catch the Apprentice should she miss anything. Also, she thought she saw a narrowed glance of the black she-cats green eyes in her direction, though that could have just been her mind looking for any reason to prove someone wrong.
At this, her gaze directed down towards the ground, seeing a small patch of land where there were claw marks, one of which was quite small but seemed rushed or panicked, while the other was at the end of the short trail and was diagonal across the other. “There is a dull scent of both hawk and mouse mixed together, as well as these claw marks. It was likely out when the sun first set last night and caught a mouse while it was here.” Her tail flicked behind her, a very tiny smile curving up on her jaw for just a moment. But it faded quickly as she brought forth her next point.
“There is also something else, but...I can’t say I know what it is. It almost smells like another cat, yet it’s different…, ” she stated, looking to her mother with a somewhat puzzled expression on her face. -979

Owlmind LightningClan || 69 Moons || Deputy Unreadable amber pools watched the youngest she-cat of the group, curious as the what exactly the apprentice would be able to pick out among the muddled scents of Lightingclan, Stoneclan and everything nature had to offer in-between. The deputy herself had a rather pronounced sense of smell, though while she wasn't one of the best trackers the moors had to offer, she still could still sniff out all the differences around her at that moment. Or really any moment if she set her mind to it, as it was what aided her while underground in the tunnels.
She didn't miss the fact that Crowface was watching Goosepaw like a hawk, ready to pick apart everything the young gray she-cat could possibly say. Though neither of the black furred sisters weren't the apprentice's mentor it didn't surprise the deputy in any way that the harsher of the two was keeping a close eye out. All three of the general like warrioress' daughters had a lot to live up too, as not only was their mother deputy, but their uncle was Redstar. Big paw-prints to fill while becoming successful warriors of Lightningclan as well as becoming their own individual cats with abilities and accomplishments of their own.
All apprentices were expected of this in general, Owlmind didn't give any of her kits special attention and she would like to believe that the rest of the clan didn't either. While they might have been birthed from her, neither Goldenpaw, Goosepaw or Greenpaw were their mother, or their father or even Redstar. The lanky gray feline expected her daughters to be who they are, who they grow into. Nothing would ever make her lose her faith or her love for the three differently colored and tempered youngsters.
The older of the two gray Lightningclanners held back a wriggle of whiskers from amusement, not only did Goosepaw take on almost all of Owlmind's physical characteristics, save for those green pools, she also seemed to take on the rasp of her mother. Granted, it was more of a growl than a rasp but it fit the rather temperamental apprentice as she was more fierce then both her sisters it seemed. The deputy didn't miss the fact that Goosepaw seemed to be a bit of a loner when it came to the others, critical and analytical she preferred to get things done rather than worry about forming bonds and relations with the cats of clan.
Perhaps with age and wisdom she would come to understand that each cat was useful together rather than view them as a possible hindrance.
As her similarly featured daughter listed of multiple different things, a shimmer of approval and pride made it's way to the lanky warrior though she kept her expression indifferent. As Goosepaw named each different scent the deputy let her wide gaze follow to the spots in which they came, as well as making a mental note to send a couple larger warriors to check out that nesting hawk. The moors didn't offer any protection from the sky, from the raptors that could easily take off with a smaller cat or worse a kitten from the safety of camp. While uncommon, the deputy wasn't going to take any chance of anything happening to her clan.
There was the slightest flicker of Owlmind's tail as she took a step forwards to taste the scent of lynx once more. It wasn't so much a fowl smell as it was a harsh one, faintly similar to both Stoneclan and the Tribe in which the deputy assumed was because of the terrain the beast lived among, hidden within the mountainous walls of the valley. Unlike large creatures such as deer or raptors, it had the faintest undertone of feline though it was still obviously different from any of the clan cats.
"That nose of yours is sharp," Reward was given when due and constructive criticism when needed, she would not deny approval to her daughter nor would she to any other apprentice. A good teacher aids growth, it was Owlmind's favorite thing when it came to mentoring. Though not about to tread on Nightstep's paw, as she chose the impressive tuxedo warrior to guide Goosepaw for a reason, it didn't mean she wouldn't take the opportunity to teach the young apprentice. She honestly expected any senior warrior to aid those younger when needed, the clan wouldn't grow and learn unless they worked all together.
"What you smell is Demon, the monster cat from the mountains." Her rasp was straight and sharp as always, there was no exaggeration within her tone, no attempt at frightening or story telling. Owlmind was an honest cat, always had been and the best way to instill an importance was to treat it as needed, treat it as real. "Though faint it is a scent that you need to remember." She was sure her daughter had heard all the tales used to frighten or excited kits from elders or other queens, but the lynx was a true nightmare.
"It isn't often he comes down into Lightningclan territory, his main hunting grounds seem to be Treeclan and Nightclan but that doesn't mean we are safe if he decides he is hungry." The lanky feline padded forwards as her wide gaze scanned the mountains of the border, she remembered the news from the last Gathering and how the tribe spoke of kits sired by Demon. The last thing the valley needed was an army of those vicious creatures. Finally the former queen turned her head to capture the miniature version of herself within those liquid amber pools.
"Stoneclan and Treeclan may not be our allies, or our clanmates but enemies or no if you smell this as a fresh scent near one of their borders then I want you to find their camp if you can't make it back to ours. You will be safe, even with them in such an event." Did she want any of her cats hiding within another clan, absolutely not, but if it meant their survival then she would take such a thing without hesitation.
Ever clan knew the horror and danger of Demon and there was no fighting your way out.
Wisdom. Courage. Strategy.

Crowface's jealousy swirled in the depths of her bright green eyes, and she squeezed them shut tightly, trying to focus on anything else but her sister's success with an apprentice. It wasn't exactly a secret that Crowface had been passed over for being chosen for an apprentice of her own, but the black she-cat preferred to stew on her own shortcomings as a mentor rather than appearing desperate. Besides, Crowface could not imagine tolerating any but the best. She had no patience and certainly no mercy. Yet, deep down, she craved the same appreciative words. The she-cat's tail whipped like a lariat as she forced back her acidic question. ("If Thistlepaw is good enough to earn her name, where is she then?") Instead, she transformed it into murderous instinct, leaping forward through the yellowed grasses to pounce upon a slithering black shape.
She returned midway through Goosepaw's announcement of scents. A garter snake hung from Crowface's teeth, its head limp and its long shiny-scaled body dragging behind her. Her eyes flashed at Goosepaw's mention of a strange cat-like scent. The dead snake dropped from her jaws.
"Demon!" she burst out. Immediately, Crowface's whole body arched. Her normally oilslick fur had a line of hair going down her spine that rose right on end. Rather than fear-scent musking the air, the aggressive she-cat's eyes were alight. "Curse that badger in a cat's pelt!" She spat at the ground. "You heard what they said at the last Gathering, Owlmind; we have to find those cubs of his somehow and put them down before they grow. The Warrior Code does not apply to him." Crowface's long claws unsheathed and they curved into the garter snake at her feet. Under the pressure of her paws, blood spurted from the creature's wounds, a clear indication of what Crowface wanted to do to her enemies. One was bad enough but a litter? Demon and his Demon-lets would become stronger than any Clan!

The lanky gray she-cat waited once her observations were finished, waiting to hear what any of her older companions had to say. She had done what she could, putting what she caught within her senses out there with a tiny bit of overachievement. She kept her chin held high and her legs straight, preparing herself for whatever was to come.
Thankfully, her mother seemed to approve. She watched the larger she-cat step forward, taking in the scents more closely than before. But what came next caused her face to visibly startle, the mention of the beast she had heard stories of coming back. She had never known what the notorious ‘Demon’ truly was, nor had she ever scented him before. She had heard tales from the older members of the clan of a beast that hunted the clans, killed without mercy, and left many in shambles, both physically and mentally. He was a monster, one of whom all of the clans likely feared even if they weren’t along his territory. He was a cat, but he was no cat anyone should ever wish to encounter.
She explained that he didn’t come to their territory very often, but that it clearly wasn’t impossible for him to if he was hungry enough. Though, the order of going to another clan’s camp should she ever encounter the monster caused her eyes to narrow. She respected her mother, she knew that her mother was just telling her to do what she believed was best. But Goosepaw would never rely on the other clans. Never. She would take her chances trying to climb a tree or scaling some cliffs before she ever went to Stoneclan or Treeclan for help. She wasn’t going to say this aloud, but she knew that her mother must have realized the reaction she would get from this order.
A snarl suddenly cut through the conversation, bringing her green gaze over to where Crowface stood, a dead snake falling from her jaws. Watching the black she-cat’s body language and hearing the way she spoke, it caused Goosepaw’s heart to begin beating faster, but not from excitement or the thought of hunting down the apparent cubs that Demon possessed. No, her heart beat grew faster because of her anger slowly rising. She agreed, full-heartedly did she agree. Demon by himself had caused a lot of damage within the clans, so even more of his kind being in the valley was extremely dangerous.
But that tone that Crowface took on, the way that she spat at the ground, and the growl that came through her voice as she said her piece, that was not appreciated. One of Goosepaw’s legs stepped forward, though her body only somewhat shifted, her leg being placed further in front of her mother. Her overall posture didn’t change much, but what little change it did make turned into more of a defensive stance. Crowface could have whatever opinions she wanted, but no one would snap at her mother or try to make demands of her deputy while she stood there.

Owlmind LightningClan || 72 Moons || Deputy
Unreadable amber pools narrowed as they turned to lock onto the lanky, black form of Crowface. There was a ruthless fire burning within the depths of the green hues, one that sparked at the mere mention of a fight or a battle. The gray deputy had never been one who jumped haphazardly into a war without knowing all the ins and outs of any plan possible.
Leading cats into the mountains was a very foolish action on any part.
Flicking her long tail, the gray Oriental stepped forwards to brush against Goosepaw who seemed to have taken a protective stance between the two older she-cats. The apprentice's loyalty to her mother did not go unnoticed, but Owlmind had little to fear from one of her warriors. Crowface had a lot of spirit, but she wouldn't dare to lay a claw upon the battle weary veteran.
"Something like that requires a lot of patience and time spend on organizing a detailed attack and chase." Owlmind said in her sharp rasp, the general within her quickly surrounding her like a suit of armor. It was things such as these that the lanky feline succeeded at, she had always been good with strategy and battle formation.
"Demon himself is a match for more than five well trained, impressive warriors. I cannot imagine the damage an enraged queen would. Cats would be sent to their death." Her tone hardened slightly, liquid amber chillingly cold as she spoke with authority. While she did agree that something must be done to prevent future problems, Owlmind believed it was united valley effort.
As much as she didn't want to admit it, she did not believe one clan had the singular ability to drive the mountain cats from their caverns.
"For now, I will inform Redstar and consult with him about a potential plan." That was her dismissal on the subject. Demon had been brought up only for the sake of teaching Goosepaw, her daughter needed to be aware that they were not the king of the crop. There were other predators out there that could prey just as easily on cats as the warriors did to hares.
Wisdom. Courage. Strategy.

Crowface's rat tail quivered at the tip, brushing at Batear's leg as if it had a mind of its own. It hopped as if stung, and Crowface drew her haughty face back, though she did not break their gaze until Owlmind finished speaking. Death. Oh yes, but it is the lynx who will die. She exhaled through her nose. The black she-cat had an idea of killing Demon without superior numbers.
