Full Name: Waterstep
-Previous names: Waterkit, Waterpaw

Gender: She-Cat
Clan: Rainclan
Rank: Warrior
Description
Description Summary: Beautiful calico she-cat with unique markings and vibrant blue eyes.
Description: With a coat adorned with unique markings, vibrant eyes, and an aura of elegance, Waterstep is a sight to behold. Her body, relatively average in size, is accompanied by long and strong legs for swimming and a long tail for balance. She doesn’t appear to be the sort of cat who would be up for a fight, but if it came down to it, she would likely use her legs or long claws to defend herself. When she moves, it is done so with a look of grace. She is light on her feet and moves smoothly almost constantly, though it is unknown whether this is on purpose or not. She can always be seen with her head held high and her tail swaying gently behind her.
Her fur, mostly short but medium in some spots, is seen as very special. Some would describe her as a calico, others a dilute calico. Her primary coat color is a bright white similar to snow, while her markings are a mix of multiple shades of brown, pale orange, and jet black. On her face, her most eye-catching markings are a large black patch on her upper jaw and muzzle that encompasses her nose, making it black as well, a dark brown/black patch that goes along the top of her right eye and around her right ear, a very pale orange patch in the center of her forehead, and her left ear having two or three “rings” of color. The rest of her coat is mostly many patches of brown and black mixed together, her tail being completely covered in these colors.
Finally, her eyes. Her eyes, much like her coat, are also very eye-catching. Lined all the way around with jet black, her eyes are a bright, deep shade of blue that appear light around the outside, but gets darker as you get closer to her pupil. Some have described her eyes as being like the sky when it is slowly turning from night into day.
Personality
Elegant - Honest - Adventurous - Daring - Sinister
Elegant - Honest - Adventurous - Daring - Sinister
Elegant- When one describes Water was elegant, they can really be talking about two different things: her appearance or her personality. When it comes to personality, elegant refers to her voice and her way of speaking. Her voice is quite gentle and calm, very rarely growing loud in tone or angered. As for the way she speaks, she does so with purpose. She tries to always stay on topic and doesn’t often stray away when she is having a conversation with someone. Also, though this is more so as a description to humans rather than cats, you could say that she talks similarly to a human queen in the sense that she will occasionally use large words and might phrase things differently than someone else.
Honest- When I say honest, I mean the genuine sort of honesty rather than bluntness. She likes to speak her opinion when it is asked of her and she tries not to hold back any details, but does so in a way that won’t emotionally hurt someone. If you make a mistake, she will tell you that you made one, but she will also give advice of how to correct it so you don’t do it again. If you ask her what she thinks of a situation or someone, she will say what she thinks, but as nice as she can.
Adventurous- When she isn’t in camp or is busy, Waterstep can often be found wandering the territory trying to discover new landmarks or, admittedly, new bodies of water. She is always out and about searching for nothing in particular and loves to find new things that she didn’t know about before, regardless of how small.
Daring- While being adventurous is all fine and dandy, she is also very daring. If she discovers a cave that she believes wasn’t there before, she will choose to investigate rather than leave it. She will try to be careful, of course, but she won’t be immediately afraid of what she could find. She also isn’t afraid to try any stunts or difficult moves when it comes to swimming or jumping.
Sinister- Water is always seen as a very friendly and gentle cat, but she has her moments. If someone threatens her or her clanmates, she will still maintain her look of elegance and calm, but her eyes will narrow into a surprisingly intimidating glare, her long claws will be on full display, and her words will be laced with danger, despite still being quite calm. The very few who have seen this small side of Water come out sometimes joke and say that she would make a good assassin or spy, since she can hide the more evil side of herself so well.

Waterkit was born in Rainclan to Featherfall, a pretty dilute calico she-cat. Feather was one of the more laid-back, in-the-background cats of Rainclan. She was very shy and often hated being the center of attention. So when she had caught the attention of a handsome tom known as Silverfrost, she wasn’t sure what to think. She had heard some things about him being a bit of a player and that he tended to switch out she-cat’s left and right, but he didn’t strike her as a cat who would ever betray anyone or talk behind someone’s back. She wasn’t quite sure what to think at first. On one hand, she didn’t want to have someone flatter her and get into her head just to throw her aside. But on the other hand, she did find him very interesting. One would usually think that if a tom was playing with the hearts of many she-cats that he would have a lot of she-cats who disliked him or spoke bad of him. Yet everything that she heard about him was good, even from female friends of hers who had spent some time with him. He had many she-cats he had been with, but he had never done anything to cause them to hate him, nor did he leave any of them on a bad note. She was unsure, but she decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. She spent a little bit of time with him, and while he was very much a flirt and had his moments, he was still very charming. As likely many she-cats before her, she ended up succumbing to this charm.
When it was discovered that Feather was expecting, there were very few cats who knew. Some of them had asked her once or twice who the father was out of curiosity, but she never wished to say, so they didn’t pry. When she did give birth to her one and only beautiful kit, the little one caught a bit of attention. Her daughter had a very unique coat and, once they opened, some gorgeous blue eyes. Feather loved this kit dearly and chose to name her Waterkit. Once Water had opened her eyes, Feather decided that, although she was hesitant, she would attempt to tell Silver that she was his kit. When she got the chance to speak to him, she got nervous and ended up hinting it to him rather than telling him outright. “Waterkit’s bright blue eyes are awfully similar to yours, don't you think?”
Waterkit grew up in the nursery spending a lot of time with her mother. There were a few other kits that she would play with occasionally, two of the primary ones being Dewkit and Fernkit, but she was never a very playful kit. She preferred laying with her mom and listening to stories about the clan. She would occasionally walk with her mom over to the Elder’s den to listen to their stories as well. Once she truly began to develop her own personality, it was really a mix of her mother and of someone unknown, likely a cat who she had seen interact with others or saw often. She was, for a start, shy, just like her mother. She got embarrassed easily and often hid away behind her mother from cats she didn’t know. But when she had nothing to be shy about, she was actually quite a lady. She walked with her tail swaying behind her, she kept her head up and her chin raised, and, despite being a kit, almost had a sense of grace to her. She was polite, friendly, and had developed a deep respect towards the high-ranked cats. Feather was unsure where she had gotten this personality from. At first she thought that maybe it had come from Silver, but he was different than this. He was calm and charming, but Water was more so kind and graceful. It was similar, but different. Although she wasn’t sure what to think, she did like the personality that her daughter had developed on her own, for the most part.
When she became an Apprentice, her name was changed to Waterpaw and she was given to Skychaser as a mentor. Sky was one cat that Water held the most respect for. He was so open-minded and friendly and he taught her many things. He had taught her about the Civil War that had occurred in Rainclan and how the clan had divided. He also taught her some very important lessons, such as how it doesn’t matter where you come from; once you dedicate yourself to Rainclan, you are family. He was a great mentor who had instilled some of his beliefs into Water's mind. Over time, that shyness she had previously displayed often faded quite a bit. She would still get embarrassed sometimes, but she was never afraid to meet someone new. She had also gained three important skills that she had quite quickly become a natural at: swimming, fishing, and land-hunting. Under Skychaser’s watchful eye, Waterpaw had turned into a cat that Featherfall was confident would make an amazing Rainclan Warrior.
After her training was finished, Waterpaw received her Warrior ceremony and was renamed to Waterstep based on her elegance, her love for swimming, and how light she was on her feet when it came to hunting. Now, after a little over 20 moons, she is almost the same cat as she was when she became a Warrior, minus the fact that she has trained one Apprentice, a young tom now named Fishleap. A surprise to her mother, she actually has never really thought about who her father is. She has wondered it maybe once, but she never put trying to find him into action.
