Hi y'all, time has come to offically say goodbye. I've had a wonderful, gosh, two years!!, here but my interet has waned and rather than stick around and suffer each month to set up plots and pull off limbs to get posts up, I'm going to dip out. Below is my list of characters, and who can be adopted, and who can't, with some extra little deets for Dewfrost as obviously, she's going to need an apprentice soon.
adopts: asterkit, brindlejay, jagged rock under tree root, thornscar (she came from Fawntastic so she gets the final say on her)
non-adopts:
briarthroat (he was intending to come back in a season/2 months when I came off of hiatus but alas, he is instead just another cat taken by Demon to who knows where)
privetpaw (npc, fade into the background. die for drama(tm))
sorrelclaw (my first gal, my love. Her, Briar and Dew are my longtime kids so I can't imagine anyone stepping into their shoes haha
Dewfrost: she gets her own category, because of just how much went into her. She's a non-adopt. Site-wise, Fawn and I discussed her being an NPC and having her apprentice be a player character. Plot/arc wise, y'all can follow this rough template I've started: Dewfrost feels isolated in Rainclan. She has vowed to protect them, and has realized that with Swanfeather's death, she has no friends outside perhaps her family to lean on. She also doesn't know if there is anyone to truly trust within Rainclan since Swanfeather was killed rather than died in her sleep and no one seemed to keen on supporting Dewfrost After the murder besides her parents.
She will never truly recover from that, and be rather quiet and withdrawn. To anyone outside of a fellow medicine cat, Dewfrost will speak shortly and get her point across in as few words as possible while remaining polite. She will not talk to her sister alone as their perspectives on Swan/Rush are so different, and does not want to waste both of their times by trying to rebuilt what cannot. If/When?? Fern decides to have kits, she will help with the birth but won't add any "sisterly love" to the event. The only one in the clan who she will open up to emotionally is her mother- and perhaps a future apprentice.
She is also lonely, and if a kit shows interest, she will ask them if they would like to be her apprentice despite her young age, because she wants someone to spend time with who understands the medicine cat path.
Training wise, she is strongest with connecting to Starclan. Her herb knowledge is vast and she is able to pull the names and their appearances quickly, but she only uses the typical treatments and remedies. She does however, do preventitive treatment, such as taking the members of the clan and giving them check-ups. She won't remove herself from her apprentice's life, but wont try to be super buddy buddy either, more of a working relationship then friendship- simply out of fear of losing them too.
I hope that gives whoever becomes Rainclan's medicine cat apprentice some fun to play with. Dewfrost's arc has always been and will probably always be my favorite to explore, but alas. My emotional and mental enjoyment of this site has left and I need to take care of myself more than the emotional journey of a character.
Love you all, have fun in the coming years.
