Name: Thrushwhisker
Age: 31 Moons
Gender: Tom
Clan: Lightningclan
Rank: Warrior
Picture:
Description:
Thrushwhikser looks a lot like his family. Unlike other Lightningclan warriors, this tom sports a thick and wiry coat, capable of blocking out the harshest winds. His golden-brown coat lightens as it nears his belly, turning into a soft dawn colour around his chest and underbelly - the only splash of white on him coating his chin. His tabby stripes are very faint around the darkest area of his spine, almost disappearing into the fur but become stronger and more distinct along his sides and are at their most vivid down his legs. His eyes are a gentle mix of green and gold and used to blaze with a competitive fire, but that fire has smoldered since his apprentice days - only igniting when he is with his brother.
His long fur hides his lithe body structure well, most cats believing Thrushwhisker to be as heavily built as Harestrike. His shoulders are close together and his legs are long, perfect for swift movement - even his face is angular in shape, despite his large cheeks and broad muzzle. After constant training, which still continues to this day, Thrushwhisker's muscles are defined and tough, coiled like springs along his frame which allow him quick and elegant movements as well as bursts of explosive strength during battle.
Description Summary: A large tawny tabby with yellow-green eyes.
Personality:
On his surface, Thrushwhisker appears to be a very confident individual and is obsessed with challenging his abilities to the point of exhausting himself. As an apprentice, he worked himself down to the bone and is constantly trying to improve his skills and prove his worth to his mother. He trains himself relentlessly even now in order to get better at skills he already excels at, to distract himself from the troubling thoughts inside his head. Thrushwhisker even pushes himself to try and outrace the fastest hares on Lightningclan territory, trying to outrun his inner turmoils as well.
Under his surface of boasts and apparent arrogance, Thrushwhisker is very self-conscious of every movement he makes and every word he says. He fears that his demanding mother will reject him, the same way she rejected his sister. Morningfrost's desire for worthy offspring and her constant pushing for improvement has left Thruswhisker feeling hollow and detached. As a warrior, he is grateful but as a brother and a friend, he feels as though he has let down Harestrike and Larkfeather - the guilt from which gnaws away at him daily. He may have stood up for Larkfeather in the past, but he knows he gave up fighting off Morningfrost and hates himself for not showing his sister more love and support.
He usually tries to defend those he feels can't defend themselves but has gradually become more and more withdrawn as these attempts backfire, to the point where he feels he can't help those that won't help themselves. However, when someone tries to stand up and improve themselves? You can count on Thrushwhisker standing firm by their side, as they remind him of himself and Larkfeather.
Thrushwhisker has built up an underlying feeling of resentment towards Morningfrost and his father Peregrinewing that only just rivals his own, due to the harsh treatment he and his siblings received. If he were to see any of his younger siblings be treated the same way... Thrushwhisker refuses to standby for a second time.
History:
Thrushwhisker was born to Morningfrost, a queen that desired only the best from her kits, and Peregrinewing. He was born alongside Harestrike and his sister, Larkfeather, who had the worst fortune of being born a runt and thus, the focus of Morningfrost's disgust and resentment.
His family always drove him to compete with others to prove himself, including with his own siblings. Ever since he was born, it was either practice, improve and be the greatest... or else. Harestrike was Thrushwhisker's focus for his competetiveness and the two were constantly trying to out do one another, surprisingly remaining close even now despite their rivalry.
Larkfeather was smaller and weaker than her brothers and Morningfrost practically disowned her from birth; at first, Thrushwhisker would try and intervene when he believed Morningfrost was being too harsh but after a few moons of this cruel treatment, he gave up and focused on himself - a mistake he will come to regret and hate himself for.
When apprenticed, Thrushwhisker was given the mentor Bramblethorn, a fierce warrior who was more than capable of pushing the younger tom beyond his limits. This training allowed Thrushwhisker to thrive and flourish as a warrior, becoming talented in hunting and speed. Harestrike had always been the better fighter and so Thrushwhisker had focused on his hunting talents, in order to best him in at least something.
During the present time, Thrushwhisker is trying to think of some way to get Larkfeather to forgive him for his betrayal and is looking forward to getting his first apprentice.
