The top three boards will be created for the tribe. Note: There will be a 'Camp' board made so no worries there.
Voting will last until the 23rd!
Board Name: Jagged Slope
Board Description: A long slope that descends into the valley. Covered in both loose scree and half-buried rock, it is easier to climb than it looks, with plenty of places for claws to latch onto. Mice and other small vermin live within the crevices or tiny burrows in the mountainside. A popular place for hunting small prey and their larger, airborne predators. A few clumps of hardy plants can be found here to feed the occasional hare. Watch out for rock slides. (75+ words)
Primary Use?: A great place to hunt for mice, or predatory birds hunting the mice. :)
Board Name: Oasis Grotto
Board Description: Sandy dirt and pine needles litter the ground, filling the air with the scent of pine and fresh mountain air. A hidden slope marks the entrance to this little grotto nestled in the mountains. Cats learn to climb on the pine trees. Only the hardiest plants and cold-adapted prey live here, and many different sized rocks show that the area is prone to rockslides. Cats use new strategies to hunt and survive here.
Primary Use?: The Tribe makes their home here, away from the hustle and bustle of clan life.
Board Name: Blocked Cave (or something more epic sounding)
Board Description: Evidence of a past landslide, the somewhat steep slope is covered in a jumble of fairly large rocks that seem, at most, to be a decent home for rodents and reptiles. However, the area can be tricky to navigate, full of small crevices and loose stones, which makes it a less-than-ideal hunting ground. No one gave this place much thought until someone noticed that they could smell cool, damp air from between the cracks of a few rocks higher up on the slope.
Primary Use?: Potentially hunting, but I was thinking this could potentially evolve into something slightly bigger if anyone ever felt like adventuring and trying to clear the cave.
Board Name: Cliff Path (or something more epic sounding)
Board Description: A precarious trail just wide enough for two cats to walk side by side, this walkway has been created through the seasons by hooves and paws alike. With a rocky incline on one side and a steep drop on the other, it winds around the edge of a mountain toward the promise of safer slopes. Though a fall down the fairly short drop would likely not be fatal, a collision with any of the rocks along the way could result in serious injury. Cold weather, rain, and high winds make this trail particularly treacherous, and even on fair days, it is advised that only the most experienced cats make the trip.
Primary Use?: Acting out Lion King. Pretending they're in Middle Earth. Perhaps an apprentice test of some sort? Agility, balance..? Maybe it leads somewhere special or remote..
Board Name: Lookout Rock/Perch (or something more epic sounding)
Board Description: Positioned at the top of one of the more climbable mountains, this rock isn’t as much a singular boulder as it is a stony summit. Exposed rock has been weathered away to create a relatively flat surface, and the only plant life belongs to the few clumps of hardy grass that have grown in the occasional patches of dirt. The lack of shelter has forced most of the prey to make a home lower down on the slopes. Anyone who can stand the wind and the climb is rewarded with a magnificent view of the mountains and the valley beyond, especially on cold winter nights when the sky is clear.
Primary Use?: I imagine sitting under the stars up there, sharing warmth with a significant other in the shadow of a rock, can be quite romantic~
