There was always room for new friends in this world. After all, life was far too short to spend one's time alone when they could find far more happiness in the company of others, Or maybe that was just his perspective on things. Spiderdance always had been a rather outgoing tom, preferring the warmth of a crowd to the bitter cold of solidarity any day. Perhaps he was simply biased in comparison to his clanmates, all of whom likely had opinions that varied from his own. Still, it was rather difficult for him to imagine ever desiring to be alone for longer than a few minutes, perhaps to clear his head and that would be it.
For the majority of his life he let others in, allowing them to become a part of him in a sense, regardless of who or what they were. So it really shouldn't have been all that much of a surprise when the blue male found himself in the company of the very thing he was named after. A couple of small spiders had made their homes in the crooks and crevices of Treeclan camp, creatures whom Spiderdance sought to befriend. That was why he was currently resting in front of one of the webs, whispering gently to the tiny arachnids that called it home. He hoped that they would find his company as pleasant as he found theirs, even if he would never truly know whether they did or not. He could at least hope couldn't he?
The tom gave a brief shudder, feeling a cold breeze hit his back like a predator striking it's prey. Thoughts of the steadily approaching leafbare filled his mind, a hint of worry bubbling forth as his thoughts drifted back to the spiders. They wouldn't be around much longer, the cold temperatures of leafbare would be too much for them to handle and they would likely either die or be forced to find somewhere warmer to wait out the cold months. It was sad, he didn't want his friends to leave him but he wasn't quite sure what to do.
Then, in a sudden stroke of brilliance, Spiderdance had an idea. 'If I just take them into the warrior den, they can be safe and warm in there!' He thought to himself, smiling as he scooped up the spiders from their webs and set them atop his head, happily carrying them into the warriors den.
