Lightning- CLAN
WARRIOR
40 MOONS
Tom
Wildcall
SHORT DESCRIPTION
A russet tabby tom with a bobbed tail and amber eyes.
APPEARANCE
Wildcall's most distinctive feature is his "pom-pom" kinked, short tail. His fur is otherwise smooth despite being a furry short-haired coat, russet as a base with darker brown stripes dotting his form. His muzzle and throat are white, the lightest patches of color on his entire body. With fur longer on the bottom than the top, it makes him at times look as though he was soaked and has let his fur permanently dry flat on his back and ruffled at the bottom. Said back is slightly arched with hind legs longer than the front with a broad muscular build, and rounded-rectangular face. His eyes are the most expressive dark amber leaning closer to a strange honeyed almost-brown that still manages to shine and twinkle brightly.
PERSONALITY
At a glance, Wildcall is quite irresponsible. He tends to not put much focus or care on what other people think of him so long as he was able to continue enjoying himself. Carefree and rather impulsive, Wildcall would commonly stray away from Lightningclan territory, singling out various cats and toying with their emotions in order to entertain himself and spark conflict for the sake of doing so. With little care for other's opinions and feelings, he will go above and beyond to create chaos for his own gain or simply for a few laughs. For this reason, Wildcall could be seen as rather cruel.
Fickle to a fault, his fancies are varied and tend to fluctuate wildly. That coupled with his flirty disposition and seemingly easy affections makes Wildcall quite a player. The truth of the matter is, while his attention is easy to grab, his interest is another thing entirely. Anything that does indeed gain his hard-won interest will be pursued with an intensity that is otherwise antithetical to what is thought of as the typical Wildcall. The sheer focus and skill displayed when something truly grabs his attention, the sheer passion and fire that drive him, would typically be compared to something seen in the greatest of warriors. That is if he wasn't so incogitably lazy.
During everyday life, when not chasing something, Wildcall is prone to moving at his own pace. While he will get things done because there would otherwise be problems if he didn't, during his slow times he is really slow. He will use every chance he can to sleep in and laze around in the sun when nothing else is going on.
Luckily, well or not depending on your point of view, his unquenchable thirsts for life's pleasures spark him into action more often than not. This more often then not makes him susceptible to bribes. A trait that makes some question if he even should be a warrior or should simply have been kicked out of the clan in his youth due to the inability of any mentor to break him of his fairly bad traits.
But where he is a genuinely troublesome person, Wildcall is undeniably one of the best fighters in the clan. His ability to hyper focus makes him exceptionally skilled at single person combat and his clever mind allows him to easily spot weaknesses. That, coupled with his network of acquaintances leads to some invaluable gossip that could easily turn the tide if put to proper use.
And despite being manipulative and self-indulgent, he does truly care for his family. While he could hardly spare a thought for most of his peers, friends and family are immune to his darker machinations. For them, Wildcall is just all flirt and charm with none of the games, well none of the truly harmful games. He is not above picking on his sister. But Mapleheart is his and if anyone thinks about even touching her, well then they will be in for a really bad time.
Born to Firesky and Russetfall with only a single sister, from a young age Wildcall was always a troublemaker. If there was something to be gotten into, he would find his way into it. He was always dragging his sister, Maplekit, into various wild and irresponsible games and generally getting underfoot.
From kithood, he showed a particular ability to wrap people around his little paws and get them to do what he wanted. His charm, little more than his cute appearance and way of speaking, got many old cats, name she-cats, to fawn over him and more often than not he used that to his advantage.
As a young cat, he was always a touch closer to his mother than his father. Firesky was able to tolerate his nonsense and less likely to yell at him for being himself, even if being himself was more often than not synonymous with generally being a pain in the butt.
Being an apprentice did nothing to temper his behavior. His mentor was one Sunblaze who, despite all his tries, couldn't deal with Wildpaw nor control the rowdy tom.
This was proven upon his first gathering, in which he spent the beginning of it having intimate relations with an older tom of another clan of all things. Of course, when Firesky was informed, she seemed to accept this weird side of her son as him simply being special, but there was some wonderment if she even truly comprehended what was told to her and the gravity of her son's actions.
But Sunblaze soon learned that as irresponsible as his apprentice was, as borderline lazy and unmotivated as he appeared, that when motivated he truly was a force to be reckoned with.
It all started with a patrol on the Stoneclan border that went south. Up until that point Sunblaze just tolerated Wildpaw and believed that the feelings were reciprocated. It wasn't until a Stoneclan warrior got Sunblaze got injured and Wildpaw near killed the Stoneclan warrior defending his mentor did Sunblaze realize that his rowdy apprentice cared for him and was almost a monster when that which he cared for was threatened.
It was then he earned his warrior name, Wildcall, for while upon first look he was all talk, one a battle call was ushered he had the strength of the wildest of Lionclan.
As a warrior, he still continued to get himself into various incidents of trouble. If not for his mother, he likely wouldn't have gotten out of the situations as unscathed as he did. But whenever battle came, Wildcall, for all his laziness, was right on the front lines fighting with the best of them.
