Bramblethorn admitted that she could be clumsy at times, but she wasn’t a terrible hunter. She crouched down low, practicing the techniques she’d been taught during her apprenticeship out of boredom. There weren’t any prey nearby which she could scent so there wasn’t much else to do out here but try to kill time. She knew that technically she should be in camp waiting for someone to give her productive orders but she was stubborn and when she wanted to do something, she went ahead and did it. Bramblethorn pounced at nothing, she liked to think she did it rather well, little did she know she’d put too much force behind her paws and the thump she created when she landed was audible. She hardly noticed; it was a rather nice day, but then again it was greenleaf. With a hefty sigh she sat back down on her haunches and began to groom her tabby fur, blue eyes alight with the energy her physical exercise had awakened.

With his callous disregard for tact and care the golden bengal slowly padded onto the scene, having been prepping to head out for a hunt not too far away when he'd heard the clumsy noises nearby. His face was set in a snide scowl, head lifted up in a flippant act of superiority. Bramblethorn was it? He usually didn't take car eto memorize anyone's names but hers came to mind fairly quickly. She wasn't a bad looking she-cat, perhaps a bit too...scruffy...for his tastes, but then again that made it seem as though he was interested and that was most certainly not the case. He was just judgemental, as always. "Any louder and you'll have alerted all of NightClan to your foolishness. Why don't you come with me for a hunt instead of lay about like an apprentice?" From any other cats maw his words might have been joking, light hearted, but out of Sunblaze's mouth they twisted into subtle jabs and sharp cuts.  Fawn @moons

Bramblethorn started at the sound of Sunblaze's voice. She hadn't heard him approach. She bristled slightly at his antagonizing words. He was handsome, she supposed, but his snarkiness quickly turned her off to him in that regard. She held her chin high. She was a prideful cat and wasn't about to let this slide, "A hunt? Why not. You seem like you could use the education." She knew she was speaking empty words somewhat, since she was not a prolific hunter herself but still, he deserved to be insulted after talking to her like that. She just barely kept a disdainful sniff from escaping her nostrils. Some cats. Really. She was never so unpleasant. She was pointedly ignoring the times she'd deliberately started arguments within her own Clan. Selective memory. Bramblethorn was not a perfect cat, but at least she was aware of it. Her blue eyes were still bright, but with a different light now: irritation.

Warrior of LightningClan || 53 Moons || Tom x profile x A low purr of amusement escaped him at her haughty words, it was perhaps the only sound he had yet made that lacked his bitter and arrogant cynicism. She had genuinely amused him by snapping back rather than acting affronted and taking his words without retaliation. Perhaps there was some hope for this ridiculous female. "Oh, by all means. Educate me then for you clearly have far more skills in stealth than I." He lifted a paw, gestured for her to take the lead and as soon as she would pass him he slammed that paw down to thump the ground noisily behind her. "Just following your lead~" Sunblaze purred out, green eyes narrowed in amusement. She was, if anything, fun to mess with so he would not so easily abandon her now. His favorite kind of cats were the ones who added fuel to the fire. Fawn @moons

A little taken aback by the way he purred, she shook her head internally at herself. He was old enough to be her father, and here she was finding him attractive. Silly and useless thinking. She brushed away the thoughts and responded to his mocking, "At least I don't act like I'm StarClan's gift to LightningClan." She was right about that, she knew that at least. She wasn't particularly close with Sunblaze enough to know everything about him, but when you lived in a camp seeing the same faces every day you started learning at least the smallest things about everyone else eventually. Rest assured, both she and Sunblaze were full of themselves, although in different ways, though Bramblethorn would never acknowledge it much less admit it. She did indeed add fuel to the fire by adding, "Where would you like to go first, o brilliant one?" Her last three words dripped with sarcasm.
