COLDKIT 3 Moons - RainClan - kit Coldkit had been born with the sound of water in his ears, the moment he'd joined the rest of RainClan in the land of the living. His experience with water had been limited to mossballs soaked in this clear, unknown substance that tasted fresh and cool and soothed a tiny kitten's throat on a hot day. Imagine a slender pale tom with unnervingly pale eyes, still shaded a very infantile shade of blue (though they would only lighten with age), approaching the edge of RainClan's camp, his world expanding by one small, almost delicate paw step taken nearer to the camp stream.
It was a trivial moment for many, but it was transforming, for the only son of the aquatic Clan's resident albino warrioress; it was the first time he'd ever seen so much water in one place. It had staggered him, Coldkit regarding the gentle ebb and flow of the murky, shallow water the same way a magpie might study a stash of diamonds, mesmerized, having no desire to do anything at all in regards to it, simply sit in appreciative awe over the fact that it existed. What intrigued him still, was the face that stared back at him. It was the first time Coldkit had ever seen his own reflection - the first time he had a concept of self; so this was what he looked like, to the others? Not so different from his siblings, he realized, not that he'd had any doubts after noticing their identical pelts (though Frozenkit's fur was longer than his); the same flesh-pink nose and inner shadings of his ears immediately drew Redsplash to mind, though he had not inherited the crimson hue of her gaze.
Having no real grasp on the notion of ugliness, he didn't regard himself as either beautiful or hideous, he simply was, and that was already more than he'd been a few heartbeats ago. It was... good, to have a mental picture of one's self. Examining the thinness of his body, the kitten sat down, watching the fluidity, even at three moons he was already showing signs of having inherited his (currently unknown) father's grace and almost unnatural, silent movement. It was early enough that the light did not yet wreak havoc on his sensitive eyesight, and slowly Coldkit glanced up the bank and then down, taking in the sights around him, processing just how large the world really was, not yet aware of how little he was seeing of it.
Of course the other kits talked about what they knew of the other Clans; the Clans, however, could have been as distant as the moon, for how little he grasped of them at the moment. Coldkit was living in the now, having no desire to fuss over things that were of no immediate concern.

Redsplash Eat Your Heart out I've got bad blood I've done bad things How can I control myself If I enjoy these nasty habits
Three moons, long and short, both it seemed, since the alabaster she-cat had given birth to three kits that held the same, pure white fur as both her and their unknown father. She had found unexpected help from the three other queens that had occupid the nursery when she had given birth, and it was something that took her by complete surprise.
Her whole life, she had always figured every one of her clan-mates had hated her with a burning passion. Though it didn't help that such a thing had been beat into her head at a young age and during her impressionable years as an apprentice. Shellflood and Goldenroot had instilled such damage onto young Redkit and Redpaw's mind, that the though of compassion from others seemed impossible.
Yet, it was Roselight and Rippletail who had been there for her, along with Tumblestep. It was Roselight who named Frozenkit, Redsplash's youngest she-kit who was deaf. It was Rippletail who named Coldkit, her son who reminded Redsplash so much of his father in Lightningclan. And she, Redsplash herself, had give Lilackit her name, complemented on the beautiful color of her lilac eyes.
Lilackit, the only kit who was cursed with both her parents' albinism.
While both her she-kits had been left to snooze in their nest, Redsplash slipped from the dimness and the tightness of the Nursery, wondering where Coldkit had wandered off too. Of course, her pinkish-red eyes, squinting slightly in the harsh sunlight, found the alabaster tomkit sitting at the edge of the stream.
At first, fear ran through her body as she thought of her kit trying to teach himself how to swim and drown. She didn't know if she could bear more emotional pain after watching her stillborn, whom she named Hollowkit, be taken away from her.
After a second, however, she realized that her son was merely staring at his image in the clear water as her larger form padded up near him. The reflection of hers, a reflection she had been taught to hate all her life, appeared next to Coldkit's smaller one as her pinkish-red eyes looked at those kitten blue orbs on the water's surface.
She knew, that despite his age, Coldkit came across as a very smart and intellectual cat. Very literate and took time to think of questions, statements and responses. It was a quirk in his personality that not only she found in herself, but that she also found in Whiteshade. While she loved, another odd thing for her to feel, each of her kits together and separately, she found herself, worrying about Coldkit a bit more.
While she knew and viewed herself as a monster, or a siren, and she knew of Whiteshade's dark demon, she did not want Coldkit to have one of his own lurking beneath the snow white of his pelt. He was young, innocent, and to her surprise, the clan accepted all three of her white kits.
"What are you thinking of?" Redsplash's voice rolled out in a cooling tone, not revealing what she was thinking or feeling at the moment. Simply curious about her kit's train of through.
I am most disturbed I deserve to be interred Don't you dare turn your back on me I'll attack without a warning sign Terror lurks in the night

COLDKIT 3 Moons - RainClan - kit A figure rose up behind him, the opposite of a shadow yet still feared as such, cold blue eyes took in the alabaster mane feathering around his mother's throat, his own head tilted down as he regarded the familiar feline in the water's reflection. Icy eyes met lethal red, but it was not a look of fear or hatred or menace that she directed towards him, and none was directed towards her, between the parent and offspring.
Her question wasn't unusual or difficult to answer. The kitten supposed he must have looked curious, staring down at the water as though expecting it to do a trick or start speaking to him - or maybe the majority of onlookers thought he was going to try and swim? Swimming had been a very popular topic amongst his peers. There were several of the full 8 of them who were practically bursting from the thought of swimming lessons over the next half-moon or so, possibly even as close as a couple of sunrises away. (Though it was, admittedly, difficult to get Frozenkit's opinion on the matter) Coldkit was, predictably, neutral towards it. The slender tom's concept of fun was still in its developing stages, and though he clearly had a preference for quieter activities that encouraged very little strenuous activity, he wasn't entirely put off the idea of learning how to paddle around with the rest of them.
"About how small we are," mewed the kit, his voice was high with prepubescence, and though he did not intentionally mean to come off as philosophical, an older cat might've interpreted his words as such. He was speaking in the literal, however, about himself and his siblings as Coldkit had just realized the purpose of the 'kits must stay in camp' rule. "Because this isn't the river, but it's still too deep." Coldkit had already experimented with placing one limb in the cool, rippling water, and it rose up to the middle of his leg even at the very-most edge of the stream, some of his alabaster fur pressed down from the weight of the water - the difference between his two front legs not immediately noticeable. His fur was already so close-lying, the added wetness could easily be missed entirely.
It might have seemed like a very silly thought process, but as Coldkit turned this new information over in his mind, regarding the camp stream and this unseen river RainClan built their whole life around, he wondered if streams were just very young rivers. Like a kit was just a young warrior; size seemed to be indicative of age, though he'd noticed the handful of outliers within the Clan who threw the kitten's perceptions for a loop.

Pale green eyes blinked open as the air around her grew slowly colder. She lifted her little white head, immediately noticing the absence of her mother. She mrrrowed softly, though her ears didn't hear it, as she twisted her head around on her shoulders as far as she could. Untangling herself from her sister, she rose to her paws and climbed from the nest, searching through the nursery. Closing her eyes, she breathed in, latching onto Redsplash's scent. Following it, she exited the den and blinked at the sudden brightness.
She didn't know where her family was, and being away from Redsplash for too long scared her. She shook slightly as she gazed around, eyes wide. There! A large white shape, moving toward the edge of the camp. She squealed out a meow, rushing over to the distant form of her mother.
Frozenkit skidded a little as she stopped next to her mother. Without wasting a breath, she stepped forward, pressing her ear against her mother's chest. She stopped panting for a bit, holding her breath, until she felt it. The faint thump-thump that she had become accustomed to feeling when she was inside her mother. It had been stronger then, closer, but it was still there. It still comforted her, because somehow she knew that those vibrations meant life. The little white kit purred loudly, vibrating from her throat in a way she had learned expressed happiness. She pressed herself against Redsplash, content.

l i l a c k i t kit, rainclan
Lilackit woke up with a shiver. The first thing she noticed was the lack of warmth. Blinking one eye open, she noticed that mother, brother, and sister were all gone. Leaping up in surprise, kitten fur fluffing everywhere, she looked around the nursery, finding nothing but a sleeping Tumblestep, eating Rippletail, and Roselight grooming her own kits. Huffing, the albino she-kit stalked out of the nursery and stuck her nose to the ground, sniffing deeply for the familiar scents of her family. Following the trail of Coldkit, Redsplash, and Frozenkit, Lilackit finally found the cats who abandoned her nest.
A cool breeze rustled her fur as she touched a small tail tip to Frozenkit, warning her before pressing her own ear to her sister's chest. Frozenkit had taken to doing that when they slept, cuddling into her big sister with an ear pressed carefully onto her side. It had become their greeting, almost, a simple thing that allowed them to bond. Lilackit meowed softly, greeting her mother and brother with a vocal cue instead of words.
The sunlight made her squint purple eyes against the bright light, but it was cool here next to the stream. Experimenting, she touched a paw to the water. It was cold and wet, immediately soaking her long fur. She was not expecting that! She licked her damp paw rapidly now, trying to dry it so the fur would fluff up again and shine. The four of them sat there, a family of snow in the middle of the day.
Lilackit would not have it any other way.
