Cherrypool of LightningClan (Cherrypool vs Silentcloud)
“I'd assume you knew better than to come alone?”
Cherrypool didn't have to answer, what with the appearance of her alabaster littermate ghosting his way over with such a silent, commanding presence she couldn't help but flick an ear in his direction, for once pleased that they looked the way they were. It was only on the battlefield that Cherrypool ever gleaned some sort of advantage out of her unusual appearance. The blood of her enemies showed up well upon fur as white as bone, and with her eyes gleaming that horrendous, ghastly shade of crimson, even the bravest of cats could feel at least a sliver of hesitation upon meeting her in combat.
She was fortunate too, that fighting in battle was the one thing her Clanmates did not ridicule or dislike her for. Though she could get...rough, she was only doing her duty, proving her loyalty. Though she had done well not to kill anyone at the last battle, she was still conscious of having to hold herself back every time. But that was fine for now. She wanted to come off as a Clanmate, not as a heartless murderer of anything that stood in her way.
Thoughts of holding back, of 'behaving' and locking her battle lust into a great big cage were ripped asunder by the words an insolent StoneClanner had spoken, asking if she were a cannibal because of the rich color of her eyes, even following up with how they'd give the Dark Forest a fright for looking the way they did. Though she had been expecting it - she was always subconsciously excepting insults and ridicule in some form or another - the fur along her spine still prickled, and her body tensed, her smile dark as her lips pulled back from her teeth, showing those lethal ivory fangs, like that of a snake ready to bite. "Oh please, you're not my type. I prefer my prey stone-dead, not standing there running their mouth!" She spat back with a cold snort, ivory tail lashing out behind her with a tempest's fury.
"I came here with the intention of using intimidation and maybe reasoning to convince StoneClan to give up the Sun Stones," she explained, fixing her ominous gaze upon Frozenrain, whom she had deigned as the leader of - one, two, three, four, five and the quivering apprentice made six - the patrol of five other cats she had with her.
Alabaster claws unsheathed, and she let her features fall into a mocking smirk. "But then I realized, just ripping you all to shreds would be much more fun."
Calling out a battle cry, Cherrypool signaled for LightningClan to attack, and though she longed to lash out at Berrysong, ruin the pretty she-cat's face with a well-aimed attack, she would allow someone else to handle the younger warrior. Intending to pick on someone her own age, Cherrypool set her blood red sights upon the one she knew to be Silentcloud, watching the she-cat trying to protect Umberpaw. That would be a vain effort, thought the senior warrior, as her own brother's apprentice, Nightpaw, would certainly not shy away from a tussle with someone his own rank.
OOC: From this point on, everyone please format the top of your posts the same way I have, so no one gets confused as to who is attacking who or from which Clan. Thank you!

Frozenrain
Yet another alabaster figure emerged from the LightningClan's side of the border, the same piercing red eyes placed amongst his facial features as they were on Cherrypool's. She flicked a gray-white ear in his direction, growing more cautious as his silence and calculating eyes began to befall herself and the rest of StoneClan's patrol. Although she couldn't deny that these two felines were somewhat... intimidating with their appearances. Frozenrain was quick to remind herself that they were clan cats, just like herself. Appearance had never been a factor in one's fighting abilities. She would hold each of them to the same standard she held herself. If they so happened to disappoint, she would later request that someone from her camp give her a harsh swipe to the head for even allowing herself to momentarily be blinded by a small trait of caution.
Berrysong's words were acknowledged and – although they were words the clearly arose anger from Cherrypool – Frozenrain didn't request that the StoneClan she-cat stop herself from mouthing off this LightningClan patrol, like Fallenleaf had. If anything, Berrysong's words had amused Frozenrain.
“But then I realized, just ripping you all to shreds would be much more fun.”
Frozenrain hadn't been surprised that the battle had been summoned due to Berrysong's comment. Yet, the tabby furred she-cat still couldn't find herself to be angry or disappointed in Berrysong. All that mattered was that StoneClan had delivered the stinging words, this being made bluntly obvious when Cherrypool set her sights on Silentcloud; likely choosing her amongst the candidates for a sparring partner.
Immediately, Frozenrain's baby blue eyes glazed with a mixture of intensity and ire. It was Burningleaf that had captured her interest; her quick examination revealing his ranking amongst this patrol as Senior Warrior. A jolt of energy was released from hind limbs, springing into battle shortly after Cherrypool's call had even been announced – sights firmly locked on the body of Burningleaf.
Emberflight
The entirety of this patrol had been an easy-going rest for Emberflight's vocals. Shortly after Berrysong's comment, he had emerged from the brambles – tabby pattered body looming like an angered storm cloud. Though even as a member of his clan had been snipped at with harsh comments, he still did not voice aloud any objections. After all, Cherrypool was quite creepy, as much so as her brother. It was to be expected that they would be singled out amongst the LightningClan patrol as the easiest to pick insults at.
Before Cherrypool had called for battle, Emberflight had already set sights on a she-cat by the name of Fallenleaf as his target. Although any cat would be foolish to believe this confrontation wasn't leading to battle, he had been extra-ready to assure he was able to get a good analysis of the target in before battle had truly been called to a start.
And once it had been called to a start, Emberflight was prepared for it.
Immediately, powerful hind limbs jolted forward with an abnormal, lethal drive. StoneClan had never pricked at Emberflight's interest, but he had never been one to turn down a decent spar. He simply hoped that Fallenleaf wouldn't be a horrible disappointment on the battle field. Emberflight was hungering for a challenge; a feline able to push his combat abilities to the very limit. If Fallenleaf didn't prove herself capable to handle her weight in spar, it would only be a matter of time before his battle-hungry fangs pierced her neck.

Silentcloud of Stoneclan SilentcloudvsCherrypool Silentcloud had listened silently to all the back and forth between the clans, battle was now inevitable and her ire was rising as she listened to the Red-eyed white she-cat itching to sink her claws into her pristine pelt. She would have just what she wanted as said she-cat gave the signal to attack and locked her eyes on Silentcloud herself, this caused the stoneclan warrior to smirk as the situation couldn’t have played out more perfectly. Before she could possibly choose another target Silentcloud laid claim to her prize, “The demon is mine!” She yowled loud enough for her counterparts and Cherrypool to hear. Rushing towards the front yet still placing herself protectively in front of Umberpaw she called out to her chosen opponent, “So any last words before I send you back to the darkforest where you came from? I’m sorry but a hideous monstrosity like you doesn’t belong in this world!” With those words uttered she charged her opponent.

Whiteshade of LightningClan (Whiteshade vs Berrysong) Yes, he would enjoy this immensely. Their reactions to the appearance of a second, crimson-eyed demon did not go unnoticed, and the only response they received was a small smirk tugging the corners up his lips upward in the start of a Cheshire grin. He found it amusing just how much cats were affected by appearance, how much they judged another by his fur and eye color, yet they were oblivious to the fact. As the subject of numerous stares and second glances, he had come to expect the wary expression that often crossed their features when they realized that his blood red eyes had not simply been a trick of the light. He had learned to enjoy it, even.
It was, however, relatively uncommon that a cat had the sense of mind - or perhaps lackthereof, as he could never be sure - to comment so rashly on his appearance so soon after his arrival. Crimson eyes, which had previously landed on a small, quaking apprentice with oddly curled ears, turned to focus on the speaker. Immediately, he doubted her intelligence, which left only the latter option of stupidity as the explanation. Still, it was intriguing how such stupidity had become a warrior in the first place; surely StoneClan had standards. Or perhaps he was expecting too much of them. In any event, he easily let the words wash off him, remaining composed and collected unlike the other red-eyed demon beside him. Content to let Cherrypool snap back biting retorts, he lazily flicked his gaze across the rest of the patrol.
He skipped over the leader of the StoneClan patrol, somewhat impressed when his mind picked a name out of the blue which he could use to identify her. Frozenrain, if he remembered correctly. The curly-eared apprentice was flanked by two warriors, one on his side and one in front of him, as if they could protect him from the horrors of battle. He could feel a sneer forming on his expression at such sentimentality. His own apprentice, Nightpaw, was there as well, but he was not standing in front of the small black and white cat, ready to take the blow for him. Unlike the StoneClan she-cats, he had the confidence that his apprentice was ready to tackle the fight, and if not, then he knew what they needed to work on. However a second look at the apprentice had him doubting his resiliance and strength; he looked as though he was about to drop dead then and there. Whiteshade couldn't help it. He smirked, lips pulling back a little farther, obviously directed toward the traumatized cat.
And then, just as he was about to dismiss the two overprotective she-cats around the apprentice, one of them spoke up. Instantly his gaze was drawn to her and the way she stood protectively in front of the cowardly apprentice. Another sneer tugged at his lips, though like he had done with the first she-cat's words, he dismissed them. They were ambigious in meaning, as there were two demons currently standing on the border. For StoneClan's sake, he found himself hoping that the rest of the cats in the patrol were intelligent enough to remain silent, else he really would have to begin worrying about their standards and the future of their species. But the thought was soon wiped from his mind when Cherrypool finally gave the signal to attack, obviously believing that they had spent enough time trading insults. It was good to have someone in the same mindset as himself, he mused as he readied himself.
Only now, with his claws unsheathed and ready to sink themselves into the warm flesh of a stuggling opponent did he let his lips pull back into a full grin. Red eyes darkened as they returned to the fiery she-cat whose words had sparked his sister's ire. She would do nicely. Idly he wondered if her screams would sound just as grating as her voice. In a calculated leap, he launched himself at her, hooked claws straining to be the first to draw blood. Closer to cannibal than you could ever imagine, my dear.

. : burningleaf . of . lightningclan : . . : burningleaf . vs . frozenrain : . Experience. It's what older cats had, a knowledge that came from a lifetime of doing. Something that couldn't be gained through lessons and theory. Experience is what kept the orange tabby and white cat's fur lying flat, even as foolish, young StoneClan warriors hurled insults at the two ghostly cats in their patrol. Cold golden eyes surveyed the StoneClan cats before them, picking apart the cats and assessing them.
The leader of the StoneClan patrol fixed her gaze onto him as Cherrypool let out a quick warning before leaping out to battle. Burningleaf knew by the look in Frozenrain's eye that he was her target. Burningleaf stayed stoic as cats began to move, waiting as Frozenrain drew closer. Another heartbeat passed and Burningleaf finally moved, sweeping forward and to the side. Forepaws hit the ground and he pushed off in the direction he'd come from, intending to ram his shoulder into Frozenrain as she passed.

Fallenleaf of StoneClan Versus Emberflight ~~~~~~ The older StoneClan warrior's ears pinned back as she glanced around, dismayed at the behaviour being exhibited by the members of her Clan. She understood that LightningClan was a threat to them, and this was their territory and not LightningClan's, and she understood that the members of her patrol were angry. Did that give them the right to be reduced to a bunch of kits, hurling childish insults at each other? Fallenleaf was certainly not going to lower herself to that level. With a snort of disgust, she found herself being charged by an apparent opponent. Because of stupid, childish words, this had fallen far too quickly into a battle scenario. Her stance shifted slightly, pale eyes watching the tabby warrior that seemed to have picked her as an opponent. The tom leapt at her, and she took a bound back, making it so that he was off target, landing in front of her rather than on top of her. With a hiss, she darted to the side, hoping to draw his attention towards her. Sturdy body moved with surprising ease as she lashed out a forepaw, claws extended and ready to damage. Nightpaw of LightningClan Versus Umberpaw ~~~~~ The black and white LightningClan apprentice waited, stone still and silent as insults were launched from some of the StoneClan patrol. A disapproving glint shown in his eyes. How childish. The young tom though, claws slowly slipping out to dig into the ground, before retracting again. His veins felt as though they were on fire, burning with excitement, but he didn't move a muscle. Not until Cherrypool signalled the attack. Nightpaw was off in a flash, small body moving with a near surreal quickness. His paws tore through the dirt and snow, carrying him pasted two StoneClan warriors that had been standing near the StoneClan apprentice. He ducked low, dodging and attack that might be launched at him from one of them, and then, with a power you wouldn't imagine possible from such a small and young tom, he leapt into the air, snarling and claws extended, aiming right for the other apprentice's face. Size didn't matter to him. So, he was smaller. It didn't matter when you were striking properly. OOC-None of these two are to be killed, please ^_^ Injuring is fine, to a certain extent.

U M B E R P A W of StoneClan "Fighting" Nightpaw Only the fact that Umberpaw's ears weren't flexible enough to lie flat against his skull kept them upright when the silent ghost-cat stared at him with those freaky blood-red eyes. Instead, his long fur fluffed up fearfully, and his tail curled sharply between his legs. He barely saw the white and tabby tom walk out of the bushes, evening the numbers on each side. At the talking ghost-cat's battle-cry, the apprentice felt his heart stop. There would be battle, and cats would be fighting and getting hurt and there were enough cats on both sides that even if they "won" there would still be injuries and-
The streak of white racing towards him snapped Umberpaw out of his thoughts, and the black-and-white cat instantly dashed out of the way. Fortunately, the ghost-cat hadn't seemed to follow him, instead going after Quietsky for some reason he didn't catch. The white and tabby LightningClan cat also went for the she-cat that had been near him, but when he moved out of the way of the barely-less-creepy ghost-cat, he also moved away from that fight. Maybe the other patrol had cats who weren't so battle-hungry, that could just sit on the sidelines with him?
A smaller, properly black and white cat dashing towards him destroyed those hopes. Seeing the assumed apprentice aim high, Umberpaw crouched down and looked away. Unfortunately, the other apprentice was small enough to still hit him, and claws raked between his ears along his forehead. The older tom's fluffy fur managed to shield his skin from damage, although a chunk of it was now missing. The non-aggressive cat hissed at this apprentice and swiped a sheathed paw at his face in retaliation. Even after getting clawed, the Stone Clan apprentice couldn't bring himself to hurt the younger cat.

Cherrypool of LightningClan (Cherrypool vs Silentcloud)
Cherrypool enjoyed a good spiteful battle of insults as much as the next feline, she even enjoyed a bit of witty banter with those who didn't find her appearance frightful or herself an abomination.
Now was not one of those times.
“So any last words before I send you back to the darkforest where you came from? I’m sorry but a hideous monstrosity like you doesn’t belong in this world!”
"Yes, please keep talking, I want this to look somewhat like an accident." She retorted with a malevolent hiss, lanky snow-white form tensing and bracing herself for impact when Silentcloud charged her. When the warrior did not show signs of slowing, Cherrypool made to pivot at the last minute, lashing out with ivory claws and snapping her teeth in the same instance, very much intending to act like the hideous monstrosity Silentcloud viewed her as.
And who gave you the right to decide who belongs and doesn't belong in this world?
This had originally just been a good old fashioned fight to let her blood sing with adrenaline and put those finely tuned battle skills to good use - but the she-cat had made it personal. Cherrypool had long ago reasoned with herself that she should not get so riled up by every comment made, but the tense setting combined with the rude statement that she didn't belong, as if this StoneClanner had any right to say such things to her, had been enough to make her blood roil and roll beneath her white fur, eyes seeming to grow redder as a cold-blooded personality took over one of LightningClan's alabaster devils.
They were opposites, her and Whiteshade. As he could work himself into a frenzy over the sight and for the sake of blood, normally projecting a cool, if not ominous aura, Cherrypool presented herself as a little more hot tempered - but when she truly meant to do harm, she became as emotionless as her brother usually appeared to be. Such was the case now, Cherrypool's jaws clicking shut in favor of focusing on defeating the she-cat she had chosen/had been chosen by, also conscious of how the others were fairing in their respective battles.
The Sun Stones would run red with blood, of that she was sure - though how much of it was spilled by her own claws, she wouldn't know until the bitter end.

Frozenrain of StoneClan [Frozenrain vs. Burningleaf.]
Baby blue irises amongst the center of Frozenrain's facial features flashed with an intense ire upon locking within the depths of Burningleaf's own, each muscle in her body devoted to assuring StoneClan was not played like the fool in this vigorous clan battle. She wasn't entirely sure why Burningleaf had been chosen as her target. Perhaps, there simply hadn't been enough time for her to be picky with her spar partner. Or, had she subconsciously mistaken his older age for meaning he would be a weak feline in spar? Regardless, Frozenrain wasn't deterred from the choice she had made. Not even as Burningleaf responded to her fast-approaching figure by charging, his frame angled to impact her shoulder.
There wasn't enough time for Frozenrain to skid and successfully move out of his path. She knew that, and therefore, didn't attempt. If Burningleaf was desiring a collision, she would allow his desire to be fulfilled. Although, he could expect that she would put in the entirety of her strength to assure his ram wasn't a one-sided pain. Since Burningleaf was angled for her shoulder, she angled her own body to his. Perhaps, her willingness to collide with the larger tom-cat would be a shock to the LightningClan feline. This thought brought a mischievous grin to her white jaw.
Impact was moments away. Frozenrain parted her white jaws, claws extended and prepared to lash out in a blind fury. Maybe, Burningleaf would play the 'scaredy cat' card and chicken out in the nick of time? Because there was no chance of Frozenrain doing so herself. She was willing to withstand the blow of impact; perhaps, even get injured in the process. She knew that the pain couldn't be one-sided. Burningleaf would have to be willing to do the same thing. And if he just so happened to be... they were about to have an interesting body-collision closely accompanied by the lashing claws and lethal fangs of a StoneClan warrior dedicated to the protection of her clan and their territories.
Emberflight of LightningClan [Emberflight vs. Fallenleaf.]
Tabby paws impacted the terrain with a loud thud, his limbs momentarily buckling closer to the ground to withstand the stinging impact Fallenleaf's backward double had caused him. He tilted his chin upward, dark gold eyes narrowed into fiery slits as he cast a paralytic gaze upon his opponent. Her hiss was acknowledged by the forwardly pin of his ears, the fur along his spinal chord and at the back of his neck pricking in agitation as he returned a louder, thunderous hiss of his own. “You don't have to run away, I promise to go easy on you.” His vocals boomed in the sideways direction Fallenleaf had taken, her paws skidding to a halt before she lashed out with a forepaw, a clear intention to strike Emberflight's face.
In the nick of time, Emberflight was able to motion backward with his head, Fallenleaf's claws just barely skimming the orange pigmentation along the side of his face. The sting was apparent, yet incredibly short. She'd be lucky if he had a red scratch there in the morning.
The large, battle-hungry LightningClan tom flashed a devilish smirk, as if to show Fallenleaf that he enjoyed her attempt at supplying him with a wound. Pain was a factor in the life of a warrior. Emberflight had accustomed himself to dealing with it, only allowing the suffering agony to be exhibited on the inside, not out. You could say he was trying to scare the StoneClan she-cat, either way, he took battle seriously and didn't expect her to come out victorious with swipes like that.
Emberflight jolted forward: his hope being to clear the space between them and lash out at her with his front legs, claws angled to, hopefully, grip into each side of her shoulder from where he could drive her a few feet backward and, if lucky, pin her to the ground. Now, he was aiming for quite the success. Emberflight didn't suspect the entirety of his plan to be full-proof, though, it'd surely be a victory he'd remember if it just so happened to play out on the battle field as it had in his mind.

. : burningleaf . of . lightningclan : . . : burningleaf . vs . frozenrain : . Claws dug into the ground as Burningleaf propelled himself forward. Golden eyes narrowed as he realized Frozenleaf wasn't going to dodge. Jaw set, Burningleaf pushed off hard with his hind paws, aiming his shoulder to the she-cat's.
Fur still lying flat, a wave of eerie calm enveloped Burningleaf. This wasn't a battle of vengeance, one filled with anger and hate. It was just another spar, just another training session. His typically emotion-filled gaze was empty as his shoulder met it's mark.
The two cats collided solidly, and Burningleaf tensed his body against the pain. Jaws snapped open, aiming for anything he could reach for, even as he felt teeth along his back. He may have been older, but the ginger and white senior warrior wasn't going down without a fight, no matter how emotionally disconnected he was.

Silentcloud Stoneclan Silentcloud VS. Cherrypool “Yes an accident so your clanmates don’t know that you begged me to end your pitiful excuse for a life you horror!” By the time Silentcloud had finished uttering her response to the white and blood eyed she-cat she was close enough to strike, and pushing off hard with her back legs she would launch herself into Cherrypool with everything she had. This battle was down to a matter of pride for her and she didn’t wish to give a single inch of territory to a clan who didn’t need it at all. On a more personal note she couldn’t believe that Lighteningclan actually thought sending a patrol would intimidate them off the land and Silentcloud had every intention of making sure they never returned, she didn’t want to kill any those pitiful excuses for cats in battle but she would be sure to cripple each and every last one of them.

the mess we're in BERRYSONG [ berrysong vs. whiteshade ] ooc: please kill her. :D
The results of her hateful comments towards Cherrypool and her brother were not surprising to the she-cat. Berrysong was in fact more surprised that she had kept her cool this long. The green gaze of the she-cat held an amused shade for a moment as she watched the ivory she-cat charge at Silentcloud, claws extended. For a moment, Berrysong paid attention to her surroundings. The taunting words of other cats warmed her young heart and got her adrenaline up. The orange tabby did not quite understand why it was that in battle it was ok to taunt other cats. When she did it in regular situations, it was looked down upon. Green oculars suddenly spotted a vivid form out of her corner of her eyes and she turned to get a better focus on it. Everything around the vibrant femme became a blur -- minus the charging, striking features of the ghost tom. Whiteshade's body stuck out like a sore thumb upon the world; slow-motioned and starkly beautiful. Berrysong, for a split second, stood in the same place, eyes fixed upon the approaching bone-white beauty. Right as he was upon her, the orange tabby darted out of the tom's way. Watching him miss his mark alighted a certain playful gleam in her young eyes. It's on. I'll fight the demon and win, Berrysong thought to herself, taking a half second to unsheathe her claws and prep her lithe body for the attack. The she-cat was younger than Whiteshade and more petite in form. Berrysong thought that if she played on defense, she could get the upper edge. But, that would be boring. Instead, Berrysong charged at the alabaster tomcat, hoping to pin him down.

Nightpaw Versus Umberpaw ~~~~~~~~~~ The black and white LightningClan apprentice ducked slightly, watching the StoneClan apprentice's paw flash above him. Blue eyes narrowed as he noticed there was no glint of claws. This stupid apprentice wasn't using his claws. With a flick of his ear, the smaller apprentice snarled, deciding he didn't care. He was going to fight like true warrior, not like this other apprentice. His black claws were clear as day as he darted to the left, swinging his unsheathed claws at the older apprentice's side. Nightpaw's blue eyes burned with a fire of determination that showed that he wasn't about to give up. The young cat was quick on his feet, not bothering to wait and see if he did any damage before darting out of reach. His paws skidded slightly as he dug in his sharp claws, forcing his momentum to stop. With a quick bunching of his muscles, he leapt. His target was the StoneClan apprentice's back. If he could get on the other cat's back, he could do so much damage... Fallenleaf Versus Emberflight ~~~~~~~~~~~ The StoneClan she-cat pulled her lips back at him as she heard him speak. “You don't have to run away, I promise to go easy on you.” Her tail lashed as she watched him in silence. With a sudden charge, the LightningClan cat launched himself towards her. Her ears pinned and she hissed back at him. "Who says I'm running away?" With that, her own muscles bunched, pushing herself towards him rather than away. If she had tried to move back, he would have caught her, and probably dragged her to the ground. She was much smaller than him, and she'd be easy to pin the moment she was off balance. By staying low to the ground, she'd be more balanced. She felt claws snag into her fur, and even clipping her skin. She felt the flare of pain as her skin ripped beneath her fur, and the warm trickle as blood now ran through bits of her fur. That didn't stop the senior warrior. With a dip of her shoulder, she banked slightly, dropping to the ground.
It was painful, yes, because she torn the claws out of her skin in doing so. But that didn't stop her from continuing. Her claws flashed out, their target being the tom's underside as she slid through his left forepaw and hind paw. With a quick roll, she was on her feet again. She wasn't sure she'd hit him. She'd at least felt fur. Without hesitating, the StoneClanner launched herself back at the tom, claws extended and jaws snapping shut, their goal being his neck area. OOC - Lol my posts are just getting worse and worse XD Let me know when Fallenleaf should call them off.

U M B E R P A W of StoneClan "Fighting" Nightpaw The other apprentice proved quicker than Umberpaw would have expected, although he hadn't been trying to hide his attack at all. While the Lightning Clan tom barely looked old enough to be an apprentice, he certainly seemed to be more determined than himself to fight. Umberpaw didn't return the snarl, but he didn't flinch away either: compared to the ghost-cats, this black-and-white tom was nowhere near as frightening. The curl-eared tom kept his eyes on the smaller one, and was in the process of turning the rest of his body when his opponent struck out. What was originally a side-swipe ended up a shoulder-swipe, and much like the previous clawing, ended up with no damage beyond another chuck of fur missing. This time, the small cat darted out of reach before the larger apprentice could swat him or something equally not painful. Despite being clawed twice now, Umberpaw still didn't want to hurt him.
Olive eyes watched carefully as the smaller cat gathered himself and- is he jumping? Jumping was... never a good thing. Not wanting to get seriously injured, Umberpaw dashed forward (and slightly to the side) with a fair amount of speed on his own. His opponent's claws caught part of his tail and more fur was ripped out from the fluffy tom, but he barely noticed it. A quick glance back, and seeing all the warriors locked in combat, told the peace-loving cat all he needed to know: there would be no peace here. Not anymore.
The sole apprentice, tom, and curl-eared cat in the Stone Clan patrol turned his head and ran off towards the Stone Clan camp. All the sparring techniques under SilverPelt couldn't help him harm another cat.

Whiteshade of LightningClan >> Hunting Berrysong > Unbidden, he found himself comparing her to a rabbit as she stood there, frozen. Wide eyes and a priceless expression completed the analogy, and in the split-second he had made the connection, a sense of detached amusement filtered through him. How ironic was it that the predator became the prey? Armed with the knowledge that he was the cat who instigated that role reversal, he found himself drawn to it once more, fixating on it like a moth to the flame. Hunting a fellow predator was considerably more rewarding than hunting a mindless piece of prey, though, of course, the term 'mindless' was relative. This she-cat did not seem to hold anything but air in that striped head of her's.
And yet, she managed to do what mindless prey could not: pull herself together and dodge the attack at the last minute. Ignoring the sense of loss that filled him when his claws did not make contact with warm flesh, he swung his lithe form around the instant his paws landed. Crimson eyes danced with a light they usually lacked, and the ever present smirk did nothing to hide the sheer, genuine glee that coursed through his veins as he locked his sights on the she-cat. From a glimmer in her green eyes, he could see that she, too, was enjoying herself. That made this experience all the more enjoyable, for he could not wait for that sweet moment when she finally realized just how far she had overstepped her boundaries. Even as she rushed toward him, he grinned darkly, more than satisfied with the opponent he had chosen.
Unlike his opponent, he did not allow his muscles to freeze the instant he saw her smaller form charging him; instead, he avoided the attack, dancing to the side lightly on alabaster paws. Unsheathed claws dug into the ground as he swung around so that he was positioned behind her, and he did not waste a moment before lunging forward again. With scarlet eyes locked on their target, he lashed out at her hind paws with hooked claws. If all went according to plan, his attack would cause her to stumble, perhaps even fall. And then the real fun would begin.
