Of course it just had to be cold right now. Even if his pelt was thick, fluffy and keeping him warm he disliked this cold with a passion. His green gaze watched the world intently, tail flicking and ears twitching. Shadowleap yawned softly and rolled onto his side, his long black legs pushed out in front of him as he moaned in relief feeling his joints pop back in their original places. It didn't hurt the tom except it made him feel sleeping and out of it. He stood his gaze flicking around. Nothing was happening. He was bored. He was never bored. This cat could always be the one to do something but, now nothing was moving. At least from where he sat. 'Need something to do' he thought softly in his thoughts letting out a yawn, teeth glinting. 

He watched his tail softly, eyes gleaming. He had had a bad habit of chewing on his tail when nervous or just straight out bored. Of course he was bored now so he plucked his tail into his mouth and starting chewing, thinking thoughtfully.

Ever since learning that the world was a scary place where bad things happened, he had unconsciously resolved to solve his own problems without the help of an adult, thank you very much. What good were they if his parents were dead? If it weren't for the fact that he could not hunt and supply food for himself and his siblings, Thornkit likely would have stated he didn't need anycat for anything at all. Until he got a prickly burr stuck in a place he couldn't reach. It was jabbing into the back of his neck from a bit of exploring he'd done by the Elders' Den, and no matter how he twisted, how he craned his neck, he just couldn't reach it. Eyes watering from the unpleasant sensation - and, though he wouldn't admit it, the frustration - Thornkit made awkward steps through the light snow from one end of the camp to another, espying the tom chewing his tail as a source of relief. "Hey." He mewed awkwardly, trying to make his voice sound deeper and less like a typical helpless kit's - which is exactly what he was, at the moment. "Can you help me? You don't have to if you're busy." He was quick to diffuse the urgency of the situation with a furtive glance to the ground and an awkward shuffle of his paws. You don't look that busy, though. You kinda look hungry. Or crazy. What kind of cat sat around chewing his own tail?
