Name: Emberstorm
Age: Seventeen moons
Gender: She-cat
Clan: TreeClan
Rank: Warrior
Picture:
Description: True to her name, Emberstorm's pelt is the color of still-burning embers left from a dying fire. With a ginger base and darker ginger tabby stripes, this long, lean she-cat looks very much like her father. She even acquired his deep, deep green eyes. The only things to tell her from her father are the pattern of their stripes, their genders, and their size, as Flamedance is bulkier than his daughter.
Emberstorm was the second-biggest in her litter, her brother Pineneedle being the biggest of the litter of four. Emberstorm has a lean, lithe build, fast and agile, with more stamina than her brother. She inherited her mother's short coat, though in all other aspects, she is a slightly smaller clone of her father.
Description Summary: A lean dark ginger she-cat with green eyes.
Personality:
-- fiery, rebellious, independent
Emberstorm, much like her name suggests, is a fiery whirlwind of a cat. She's tough, independent, rebellious, but with a heart of gold. She knows how to have fun and enjoys every minute of it. Whether it's training, fighting, hunting, or competition, Emberstorm gives it her all, putting every ounce of heart, soul, and energy into everything she does.
-- proud, cunning, ambitious
Emberstorm is a proud cat, but not arrogant. She knows her strengths, but she knows her weaknesses. Her pride comes from knowing her strong and weak points, and through improving, she gains confidence. She's ambitious, eager to serve her Clan and be the best warrior she can be. Though she is a good warrior, she's also sly and cunning, which she uses sometimes to gain the upper hand in whatever she is doing. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but if misused, her cunning, pride and ambition could be her downfall.
-- loyal, brave, loving
Emberstorm is loyal, almost to a fault. She'd do anything for her Clan and her loved ones, even if it means betraying the warrior code or the leader's word. Though she tries to put the good of the Clan before herself, she isn't totally successful at selflessness.Though for those she loves, she'd do anything for. Emberstorm's confidence in herself, her independence, and her rebellious spirit make her seem a brave cat, and more often than not, she is. However, there are things that scare her, like losing a loved one. If she were to lose Silvercloud, Flamedance, Dustfall, or Thornstrike, she'd be devastated.
History: Silvercloud and Flamedance had been mates for a while when Silvercloud had her first litter of kits. Four of them, three toms and a she-kit. The biggest, a red silver tabby tom with green eyes, was named Pinekit; the second-largest, a ginger she-cat with green eyes, was named Emberkit; the second-smallest, a marbled silver and black tom with pale green eyes, Stonekit; and the runt, a pale cream tabby tom with blue eyes, Dustkit.
-- emberkit
From the moment her eyes opened, Emberkit was stuck to her father. She'd always been a daddy's girl, and Flamedance adored his mini clone. Whenever Flamedance was in the camp, Emberkit would follow him around, always curious as to what he was doing.
When her father wasn't in the camp, however, Emberkit was with her brothers. Pinekit, being the bulkiest of them, and slightly jealous of Emberkit's relationship with Flamedance, was often a bully, with Stonekit following along to win favor with Pinekit. Since Dustkit was the smallest, he was the most vulnerable, and the brunt of their bullying was targeted on him.
Seeing this made her angry, and Emberkit stepped in, often standing up to Pinekit and taking Dustkit's peril upon her own shoulders. Try as she might, their mother, Silvercloud, though usually there to stop the bullying, couldn't stop all of it. As such, a deep enmity Pinekit and Emberkit developed. The litter seemed divided, Pinekit and Stonekit at one end, Emberkit and Dustkit at the other.
-- emberpaw
Their apprentice ceremony soon came, and Emberkit was overjoyed. She sat next to her smallest brother, feeling his anxiety through their touching pelts, but she couldn't push down her own excitement. When her mentor was named [Thornstrike, a young tom eager to have his first apprentice], Emberpaw almost bounced as she stepped forward to greet him. The young she-cat was super excited to begin her warrior training.
After finding a place within the apprentice's den that night, Thornstrike came to Emberpaw at sunrise and called her to go on the dawn patrol with him. Emberpaw, the eager apprentice she was, was soon on her paws, excited to jump right into her warrior training. Emberpaw, Thornstrike, Flamedance, and another warrior went out immediately, patrolling along the NightClan border. The patrol was uneventful, but it was started a day full of training and getting to know the territory.
Throughout their training, the enmity between Emberpaw and Pinepaw grew and worsened. The two didn't care to train together, but when they were forced to, everything was a competition. Contests of strength, speed, stamina, agility, and more. They constantly butt heads, no matter what they were doing. Stonepaw, however, was happy to just sit on the sidelines and watch, deciding to take his own path.
Emberpaw grew bold and feisty, but Pinepaw grew bitter and angry. Both had an energy and determination greater than most of the other apprentices, but their drives were fueled by different things. Pinepaw, by jealousy, Emberpaw, by ambition.
Emberpaw managed to maintain a close relationship with Dustpaw, even as her relationships with her other brothers fell apart. His struggles made her angry, but there was little she could do but console him and encourage him. As Dustpaw watched his siblings grow, so to did Emberpaw watch her brother and close friend grow.
One day, Emberpaw, Pinepaw, Dustpaw, and Stonepaw were training together. Halfway through the training, however, one of the warriors on the sunhigh patrol streaked back to camp, yowling about a skirmish on the NightClan border. Thornstrike, Cloudface, Icefang, and Lilytail ran to the border, their apprentices at their heels.
The eight cats tossed themselves into the thick of the battle, even as reinforcements from the Clan came in. As they began to push the NightClan cats back, Emberpaw found herself fighting beside her mentor, Thornstrike, with her brother Dustpaw on her other side. Pinepaw and Stonepaw worked together to drive a pair of NightClan cats back across the border, and followed them. It's still uncertain as to what happened in the shadows there, but as more NightClan cats fled the battle, Pinepaw dragged Stonepaw's limp form from the darkness and back into TreeClan territory.
Emberpaw could see the bloodlust still lingering in Pinepaw's eyes, and in her mind, the single bite wound to the back of Stonepaw's throat looked a little to clean to have been acquired from an enemy. It looked like there was no struggle, as though Stonepaw had known his attacker. When asked what happened, Pinepaw stuck to his story, though, that it was a NightClan warrior who had killed Stonepaw.
Most of the Clan believed him, even though Emberpaw had her doubts. On the way back to the camp, Stonepaw's body being hauled by his mentor and her brother, Lilytail and Foxfur, Emberpaw pulled Thornstrike aside and told him of her suspicions. Instead of dismissing her claim, like most cats would have, he merely gave her ear a swift lick and said they needed to return to the camp to rest. Dustpaw overheard the exchange between Emberpaw and her mentor, and the dusky cream tom limped up beside her, pressing his shoulder to hers. It was then that she noticed the blood coating his fur, and the weakness in his eyes. Allowing her smaller sibling to lean on her, she helped him back to camp, and straight into the medicine cat's den.

That evening, after the Clan had a chance to grieve and rest, but had not yet buried Stonepaw, the leader called the Clan to a meeting. There, he called forth Thornstrike, Icefang, and Cloudface, asking if they believed their apprentices were ready to be made warriors. Thornstrike and Cloudface responded proudly, though Icefang's reply seemed a bit curt, and stepped back as the leader called Emberpaw, Dustpaw, and Pinepaw forward. Emberpaw and Pinepaw did not look at each other, and Lilytail sat trembling at the edge of the gathering.
Pinepaw was given the name Pineneedle, and Emberpaw almost snorted at the subtle allusion to his thorny personality. She contained herself, however, and received the name Emberstorm, in honor of her ferocity and determination throughout her training and in the battle, and Dustpaw was named Dustfall. Before Stonepaw's body, the leader gave him, too, his warrior name, Stonejaw. The three new warriors sat vigil beside the body of their brother, and Emberstorm and Pineneedle kept their eyes averted from each other, and they all refused to look at the body between them.
As dawn broke over the horizon, Thornstrike emerged from the warrior's den, gently touching Emberstorm's shoulder. With weary paws, she began to follow him into the den, Dustfall right behind her, but noticed their brother had fallen asleep sitting up. With a low growl, she reared up and shoved him over with both paws, shouting at him to wake up. This gained the interest of several cats nearby, and Pineneedle dropped his head in shame.
Emberstorm and Dustfall then continued on into the warrior's den, where Thornstrike had already arranged a nest for her near his, and had a place reserved for Dustfall nearby. She smiled at him, purred, and curled up to sleep, as Thornstrike directed Pineneedle to the empty spaces on the other side of the den before heading out to hunt.
As time goes on, Thornstrike and Emberstorm continue to draw closer to one another, and now more of the Clan is beginning to notice, much to Pineneedle's dislike. The enmity between Pineneedle and Emberstorm continues to grow, while Emberstorm and Dustfall are still as close as ever.
