Mudstep let his gaze travel around camp, hoping not to see Gracklefire. Infact, she was the one he least wanted to see, out of anyone he possibly could. Closely followed by any males who had picked up on their mates lusting after him... He chuckled slightly to himself. He couldn't remember the name of the last one. She was sweet, though, especially when he ended the whole affair. Didn't have a string of loyalty in her, thought.
Sometimes, he liked to see it as something to do. No one had truly touched his heart before. Well- He groaned inwardly. There was one person, of course there was, but she was very much unavalible as of now. He'd never meant to actually...well, actually like her. And he would never admit it to anyone. In fact, if anyone knew- no, the secret getting out would not happen. And he was prepared to kill to make sure of it.
Other times, like now, he saw it as a loyalty test. If a she-cat had no loyalty to her mate, how was she supposed to feel loyal to her clan? To the laws Starclan laid before them? If she couldn't keep her paws firmly away from him, then what right to remain in Nightclan did she have?
If only he were leader...

Gracklefire was tired, having worked with Shadowpaw with her knowledge of her neighboring clans, she caught a few mice on her way home and came through the entrance of camp and froze. There smack dab in the middle of the StarClan forsaken camp was Mudstep, anger flashed bright red in her eyes, blood rushed from her hear to every limb in her body, hatred pouring out of every pore in her body. Carefully she went to the fresh-kill pile and dropped her prey, her eyes locked on him, words weren't forming in her mouth instead venom was ready to spit out. She tried to stop herself, pull back don't confront him but part of her didn't' want to stop, she came up to him.
Teeth exposed as she snarled at him, ears pinned back and eyes narrowed in deadly slits, her claws full exposed. " I can't wait to spit on your grave Mudstep, I hope Tigerstar will play with your bones in The Dark Forest" She growled darkly her voice soft, just loud enough for him to hear. Surprising even herself, normally she was so in check, she prided herself on keeping her hatred for him under wraps, after all when she loved him she was foolish. However the time she spent with Shadowpaw near the Deer Path, those memories of her kits dying in her bell came back, haunting her, bringing that pain back to the surface. Gracklefire glared at the warrior that caused her so much hurt.

Mustep raised his head to meet her gaze. He wasn't afraid. He, too, was angry. "You understand nothing of what was happening to me. It will always be about you, won't it?" He laughed, and a bird stopped singing in a nearby tree. Perhaps it sensed his anger, too. "You were just a stepping stone, my love. I was never seriously considering anything with you... And then you presented kits to me, claiming they were mine? I've seen you dancing about in the bushes with other toms. I doubt you even knew who the father was." None of it was spoken pleasantly. He was beyond pleasant. "And then guilt tripping me back into becoming your mate, just so your kits would have a father? That -" Again, he laughed. I am heartless. "That is beyond bad. That is the filthiest trick a she-cat can do, and I won't be part of it."Words: -- Notes: Drama is good This should be interesting...Oh, and just to be clear, it's up to you whether these things did happen, but I was thinking that Mudstep is just making stuff up to make her sound worse than him. Hatred roared in her face, it brought her snarl stronger, even louder. She stepped back out of his face, her claws sliding out of her paws, the deadly points itching to swipe at the monster she once loved.
With eyes like fire she became stone cold, the anger that was so outwardly expressed now melted back, leaving a cold dark hate. "You know those are lies!" She spat, a dark hiss fallowed not to far after. A devilish smirk crossed her face as she worked up the ante, slowly she moved toward him, careful in her movement. She moved like a serpent, rubbing her fur against his darker brown coated body, a hiss instead of a purr leaving her vocal cords.
"To think, Mudstep the great and powerful warrior, the devil of cat that with his lust for power he killed his own kits." Those vile words left her jaw as she circled around her, her tail teasing him just under the chin.
"I don't think any she-cat will want you now, they fear for the kits yet to be born. Who would ever allow a tom so vile and demented as you to sire their kits? You are a MONSTER" She spat that last word right in his ear, a growl rumbling in her chest. "You killed them" She whispered heavily, the words sounding almost disconnected from the rest of her speech, however those words were filled with hate.

He shrugged, rolling his eyes. "Dear, if you hadn't have been running around with your new lover-boy, but instead stayed in the nursery like everyone had told you, the kits would still be alive. Your carelessness was the death of your own kits." A hollow laugh. "You knew I would find out about your affair, so you pretended I was the one rejecting you. What tom wants to father another she-cats kits, especially when she won't even admit to cheating? To think, how big I thought I was; then to be used, manipulated, twisted into the image of a monster? What tom wants you a she, one so desperate for kit's she's willing to do whatever she can to blame everything on anyone except her?" He stepped closer, and lowered his voice. "You just won't admit that you killed your own kits just to get back at me."
Words: Notes: So heartless.

Her calculating glare was sharp enough to cut through rocks. Her incline of breath did nothing to calm her nerves.
"My dear Mustep you are poorly mistaken. If you hadn't lied to me ours kits would still be alive. I remember it clear as water, I asked you to stay with me, I wanted to reassure we were mates. Who told me I didn't matter to them? Who told me I was nothing but a she-cat to carry his kits? You drove me I wanted us to have a family. YOU! Threw that away when you left me. I wanted those kits even if I hated you." She growled, that last sentence full of emotion, Gracklefire did her very best to hide. He was no longer going to get the best of her. Not anymore.

He faked a tear, and turned to stare directly into her eyes. "I loved you. I always did, dear. I tried to warn you, tell you what was going on. But you didn't understand. Did you hear about my father?" This was bordering on the truth, and he sure hoped he could convince her so. "No. You didn't, because you were mourning the kits you killed. You can't shame me any further. I can't go down in the rankings any more. So, go ahead. What else can you say? I however..." An evil twinkle entered his eyes. "I can drag you down."

Her claws extended painfully into the ground her tail lashed as if it was whip, her lips curled up into a snarl, exposing her long teeth, itching to diving into Mudstep's throat, let his life blood fall to the ground the same way her kits died. However she remained cold, her face retreated into a deadly mocking mask for him.
Her eyes grew damp, she pretended to miss him, almost cry for him but her heart was razor sharp and deadly, she would watch him drown. "Mudstep, you can' take me any further. For I shared a nest with a low-life flea bitten pitiful excuse for a warrior and I rose back up."
She stepped back and lashed her tail again and dipped her head, making fun of him. "Good day you good for nothing cat." She snapped turning on her heels and exiting the camp, letting her feet take her away.

"Call this raising up?" He raised his voice. "You could have had it all. I gave you my heart. Good luck finding another who will be so dedicated, my sweetheart." He turned away, and padded in a different direction out of camp. He needed some space to breath, somewhere to think...
Words: Notes: Yeah.
