Description

[/font] Sorrelpaw is a young she-cat still, stuck between her kitten self and the growth an apprentice makes. Her kitten fat has almost all converted to muscle, but her face still shows her youth. She stands at a shorter height and a bit stout too, broad shoulders and strong legs that will make her a fierce opponent with the right training. She is still getting used to her paws, and as a result her walk is a bit clumsy as she find the right rhythm. Her face is expressive, with bright amber eyes shining out.
» Her short pelt is almost entirely brown tabby in color, minus white on her front toes and a white splash on her muzzle and throat. The very tip of her tail is also white. Sorrelpaw speaks in a loud yet low-pitched voice, that carries easily, making her one to seek out those lost in a crowd. At a first listen, her voice can be confused for her father's, but his has softened due to old age.

Short-hand: Strong-headed, caring and protective, eager and always willing to be there for someone.

[/font] Sorrelpaw does nothing by halves. She takes after her parents and their willingness to throw their whole selves into any and all aspects of their lives. This can lead her into trouble, since she doesn't always stop and think of what could happen from her actions. Sometimes it takes an outside voice to have her realize what she's doing. It comes from a caring and protective background though, which Sorrelpaw tries to explain when she does get in trouble. However, it makes her first to volunteer to help. No matter how small the task is, or how large, her whole heart is dedicated to helping make her clan grow and to help those around her thrive.
» This dedication does lead to a bit of fearlessness when it comes to facing matters, a feeling brought on by her naive perspective of the world. She is a young cat, and has yet to face trouble, and believes she is limitless. Any fear felt in a situation is immediately channeled into helping her succeed, rather than getting struck down. This feeling also makes her a bit brazen among others, and frustrated with herself. Her parents left behind strong legacies, and while some skills are there, there are other parts that are not coming as easily. With time she will grow more patient, but for now she is frustrated by her own paws and works hard to better herself, to be the best her clan deserves. Anything less is viewed as a failure.

[/font] Sorrelkit was born to two proud warriors. They fell in love easily and absolutely, yet only realized it when pointed out by their apprentices. However, they did not expect kits, and had been content with just love. They became anxious when Nettlewhisker was told she was pregnant. But, their worries were for naught, with an easy birth and a lovely daughter was born. As the only kit, Sorrelkit was showered in love, and rarely sought company outside her parent's for the first couple moons. When another litter was born, Sorrelkit was gently nudged in their direction. She at first was confused, she couldn't do anything with them! But soon she grew to love the smaller kits, feeling like their warrior, guarding them as the warriors do for her clan.
» As an apprentice, Sorrelpaw moved slowly. She was easily frustrated when skills did not come easily to her. Knowing her parents as good fighters and hunters left her unimpressed with herself. As a result, Sorrelpaw could be found before bed practicing over and over till she could barely walk, trying to unlock the talent her parents possess. The fighting came easy, surprisingly, but finding her way around Stoneclan's territory and hunting was not. Mentor and apprentice both left training days frustrated, but Sorrelpaw more than her mentor. It took a meeting with her father to calm her anger. Brakenclaw said it didn't come easy for him either, and that was not something he was ashamed for. There were other aspects Stoneclan needed him for.
» Her father became a trusted source of help after that, her mind easing more and more. Soon, Sorrelpaw grew, then grew by giant leaps. She still took time out of her already busy schedule as an apprentice to practice. She returned to camp empty-pawed less and less. Currently, she feels the tension among Stoneclan and Lightningclan, paws itching to do something about it. She knows she is close to become a warrior, and hopes to prove herself.
rp history » Eager to prove herself, Sorrelpaw was chosen to fight in the battle to claim sun stones. Stoneclan succeeded, but Sorrelpaw got injured and her ceremony was delayed. Almost two full seasons pass of Sorrelpaw healing, making friends and fighting her inner demons. After a failed battle training session, Frozenrain and Sorrelpaw discuss the past and future, and Sorrelpaw comes out ready to fight again. She ends up defending the camp with help of the new deputy, Smokestorm, and earning her warrior name at last.
