Warrior Apprentice of TreeClan
I know I'd better stop trying - You know that there's no denying - I won't show mercy on you now
As shadows grew in the later light of the day, one young Apprentice used them to do something that wasn't like her. Ravenpaw ran; as hard and as fast as she could. Her mind was in chaos filled with fury and sorrow and a sort of tiredness that left her feeling hollow and so very alone. So she ran and ran until her chest hurt from her efforts and everything in her told her to stop. Yet she pushed on until she could launch herself at the great maple and climb up as high as she could get to hide herself and just simply be.
High among the branches; Ravenpaw could just be herself. It was alright if she broken down and cried for everything that had happened. Even though time had passed, her parting from Lionstar still broke her heart into thousands of tiny pieces. She had survived greencough so she knew she was so much stronger than anyone realized, but she just...she needed a moment to be someone other than herself.
With no one around to hear her, Ravenpaw screamed as loud as she could; trying to dispel all the negative emotions threatening to drown her at any moment. She had told Lionstar she'd speak to her Mentor, but having been sick there'd been no time and now...Now she just wanted to disappear. Her breath came in sharp gasps of sound as she let herself feel everything she'd been holding in since before the last Gathering. She hadn't seen Lionstar more than in passing and she knew she didn't want to deal with him just now.
What she would deal with was the she-cat meant to teach her. Which was why she'd run out here early after requesting in as polite a manner as she could manage; that Honeysong meet her here when she could. Ravenpaw would remain for the day to wait, but she had to wonder if the she-cat would think she was merely acting up or if she'd actually listen. She doubted it; no one else did. Still...some part of her wanted to home, even if it was just a little.
